Professor Braun It was clear that within the encampment of the Third Movement, something of importance was stirring. Security was tighter than ever, especially at one of the buildings where several Machia were overseeing the perimeter. Within the building a spacious briefing room had been prepared to rally the people that had chosen to allign themselves with the professor's vision for the island. However, the professor himself was nowhere yet to be seen. Instead Professor Braun was in the room adjecant to that where people were gathering, busily reading the contents of the report he was holding. "Are you certain? To have provided us with this intel, your actions could shift the tide of the conflict that has engulfed Talaz Lagaar. Do you truly not want any credit for the discovery of it?" As he spoke, the man lifted his gaze toward the hooded figure across the room who merely shook their head. "I see. Then so be it, your contributions to the cause will not be forgotten." With his statement made Professor Braun rose from his seat and approached the door leading into the briefing room. The people inside were quick to turn their attention toward him, having eagerly awaited his arrival with anticipation. The professor spoke: "My fellow colleagues and compatriots. I thank you all for gathering so quickly to answer my call. Many of you must be wondering why we have rallied together on such a short notice. I will be getting to that momentarily. However, first I have some tragic news to deliver:" The man paused, taking a seat at his desk as he folded up his hands before his mouth, his expression darkening into a grim frown, a hint of sorrow in his visage. "It has been revealed that the robot known as ONE has been captured by the loyalists."The people in the room whispered restlessly among each other. "Indeed, ONE was the first robot- nay Replicant who developed a certain semblance of intelligence similar to that of us. The ability to think and act without any prior programming. Some might say he was exactly the opposite of the concept of Machia. Incomplete, but capable of becoming so much more... A being of fascination, one I would have loved to converse with and observe its growth." The man had gone silent for a moment. "But during a recent retrieval ONE was brutally forced into captivity at the hands of the Talaz Lagaar loyalists and their mercenaries who dreaded the idea of the secrets ONE possessed. A tragic victim to the narrow-minded mindset of those who consider themselves the 'masters' of this island, a testimony to how flawed their reasoning is, but even more: now that he is in their grasp it is highly likely that they will have dismantled him as a means to strengthen their control." A mixture of sorrow and anger came from his colleagues upon hearing these words. "Therefore, I would like to request a moment of silence for ONE, so that we all be reminded of our responsibility: Not just to Talaz Lagaar, Earthland, but also to our creations." A moment of silence lingered in the air, after which the professor raised his head. "Thank you, for now: if anyone has any questions about this news, please voice them now. Let a lack of information not be cause for ignorance of the severity of this revelation. If not I will proceed momentarily to discuss an important mission for you all." Third Movement Event

That was neither here nor there in concern though. Ahhh, blah! What was concern to him anyway? There was emotions and tensions abound in the spacious briefing room. Pride, fear, ah the all too easy ones. All easy to tell on their faces. Spirit, plenty of it trying to rally their numbers and assets.
It was boring though. All so boring as they all waited for the man of the hour. And finally he came! Dear old Professor Braun arrival cranking and turning every machine, flesh, macha head with haste. An all too happy sigh came from Kanji in the time, happy for things to change just a little…
Leaning back and practically shrinking his long frame into his chair, Kanji listened as their 'leader' spoke. A plain line expression as he listened. Some things known already and others quite a surprise. The sounds of the room made that clear. The 'battle' ONE had in trying to escape was well known a bit right now. The amount of destruction was hard to miss. But who had captured and moved ONE and what they were up to now was a wonder. Until now. Although he had no real questions to ask off the top of his mind he did have an internal thought of WHAT NOW!?!?! Those darn loyalists was making this all too hard. Too one sided. Too controlled. There was plenty of more chaos yo be set and falls to see.
Just what was this Professor going to do about it though hmmm?

The Goddess of Mercy
Yuan stood off in the corner of the Third Movement encampment, leaning against a wall. She twirled a strand of her silver hair lackadaisically as her eyes coolly scanned her surroundings. There was heightened security today. More Machias, too. More than what she had seen when she first joined the Third Movement. Looking down at her own unmarred flesh, she was beginning to feel like the odd one out here. While neither she nor Atani desired the implants so many now had, they did share a morbid curiosity for them-- Yuan even more so. The goddess had never seen such marvels of technology on Earthland prior to entering the void so many years go.
They were fascinating.
Yuan straightened her back as she saw Professor Braun enter the room. She had seldom seen the Professor in the flesh to know his usual demeanor, but from the harrowed look in his bones and from the darkness in his eyes, she could tell something was amiss. She waited for him to speak, then grimaced as she heard the news:
ONE had been captured.
This had disquieted the crowd, and understandably so, but Yuan herself remained silent. Admittedly, she was not as familiar with ONE as the rest of the Movement, considering she had only recently made it out of the void... but she knew enough. It was clear why the Professor was angered; Yuan would be too if someone so brutally captured her life's work.
Though she had not yet spoken a word, nor uttered any grievance in reaction to the news regarding ONE, she partook in the moment of silence by closing her eyes. She bowed her head solemnly, then lifted as Professor Braun continued on. The goddess held her tongue when he opened the floor for questions. Though she was largely ignorant on the capture of ONE, she had a feeling the Professor would address it all upon relaying the details of this 'mission.'

He remained silent thinking about the political connections he had made and wondered if that would even matter. Soon the professor entered with distressing news. Jin had focused on healing the wounded and dealing in politics and largely ignored One. But he knew it was important, something that was made even more apparent now. It is always mankind's nature to destroy. Jin sighed and sat back.
"A shame." he said. taking in all that was said, Jin fell silent for the loss of the sentient robot. As a Machias now, how close was he truly to what One was? A sentient machine? Is that how some people would grow to see him now?
After the moment of silence, Jin would look up and face the professor. "What do we do now?"
