Twigs snapped and echoed through the forest as the Vampire maneuvered through the Aidenwald. She kept her eyes peeled for any potential threats, with her white revolver clutched in her hand. It was in times like these that the Stellan missed her Dragon Slayer sensory abilities. Neither her eyes, or her nose could perceive threats before they came so she had to rely on her abilities as a hunter. The fog in Aidenwald was thick. Moving carefully wasn't as easy when you were in a territory you weren't familiar with.

Predictable; all of them, the Usurper thought as they moved through the haunted forests of Dahlia city. Back in the universe they hailed from this forest also existed, only...in a different way. In the "Dark Universe'' Aidenwald was a construct inhabited by peaceful spirits. Anyone who stepped foot in Aidenwald would find themselves at ease and all of their problems temporarily erased. Here though, Khal heard spirits of the dead scream in agony, reliving their traumas and deaths over and over again. Any normal person would've lost their mind if they remained here for too long, yet, the songs of violence provided the Desiertan with a sense of peace. When they finally devoured this Earthland, they would be sad to see it go. There was a lot of potential in this world. Fertile land, healthy livestock, quality technology- the only thing that plagued this world was the existence of mankind. They were weak and desperate. Foolish and naive, hence why the Usurper knew that the woman they had sent for would willingly come. Family meant everything to these people and that is why they'd lose in the end. True power requires you to sever any and all ties. You had to be willing to do anything to obtain it. "There you are~." |

Perhaps they were the one calling the shots. They had the aura of a leader but they looked just as young as the Vampire. "You sent the message..." Who else could it have been? Of course this was a trap. How stupid of her to come. How desperate she had been to know where her mother had gone. The Knights taught her better than this. Alas, here she stood. Still, if this man knew that her mother had been gone then it was very likely that they knew where she was. Lex was surrounded by people who would rip into her the second she shot this Khalfani, but it would be even dumber to put her gun down. They were following the vampire this entire time and she never had a clue. With a distance of about twelve meters between them Aleja kept her finger loosely on the trigger. "So where the fuck is my mother?"

"Straight to the point, hm?" The Usurper smirked. With the power of the Dark world bestowed upon them by the powers that be, they were able to see into a person's soul. This little Rune Knight harbored an almost inhumane amount of rage. Her ability to keep herself composed was rather admirable. She wouldn't be able to contain the beast inside of her for long though. Khal had a knack for getting under people's skin. When they sent the message to Aleja, the details revealed that there was a favor to be done before she could be rewarded. Khal's warriors unsheathed their swords as the Pharaoh began to step forward. Fearless. There was nothing throughout any of the universes that could strike fear in Khal's blackened heart. "The God Killer" they called them. It wasn't as fancy as "The Angel of Death", but a person capable of Killing gods would always reign supreme over a Vampire. "You've become sloppy with your work, Captain Commander~, It wasn't difficult to find you. You've become quite famous, you know. I could have had you killed several times over~." |

Even when she knew she was outnumbered, the mage before the Pharaoh still seemed to believe that she was in a position to make demands. The Usurper merely smirked. Aleja's commands may have meant something to the Rune Knights, but to the Pharaoh they meant nothing. So, they continued to step forward until they were directly in front of the gun. "Maybe. However..." Their sunlit eyes met with the silver eyes before her, "You have a greater purpose." The Usurper said. There was a moment of dreadful silence before they continued. The Captain Commander was trying to decide if she should shoot the Dark Universe Raider, and the Raider grew impatient. "Shoot me, and you'll never see your beloved mother again, hmhmhm~" Khal raised their hand as black magical energy formed, slowly creating the shape of Aleja's mother. The woman was in chains in the depths of somewhere only the Usurper had known, but she was able to see her child. "Ale-... Ale!" She shouted. She remained unharmed...for now. |

In their own macrocosm, Khal had murdered their grandfather and discarded their brother without a second thought. Family never meant much to him because familial ties provided nothing but weakness. Once they realized that, they were able to transcend higher than anyone would've liked to believe. There wasn't a person in the Pharaoh's court that their potential enemies could use for ransom. Unlike the mortals of this realm, Khal simply did not have weaknesses. Aleja was in a bind that she refused to get out of. The answer was simple, really. All she had to do was allow her mother to be another casualty of war for the sake of the masses. Fortunately for the Usurper, that wasn't something the commander had been willing to do. "That's the spirit~!" they laughed. Aleja was at last ready to comply. "Turn the gun to you..." Perhaps the best way to weaken their enemies was to remove one of their leading forces. Ms. Celdrua could be a sacrifice for some sort of statement. Maybe. Once more, Khal opened their palm and revealed the elven woman with a cloth around her mouth. One of the men held a knife to her throat, for incentive of course. The Usurper waited for Aleja to follow their commands. If she wasn't a fool and turned the gun towards herself, another command would follow... |

"Good.Now...put the gun in your mouth and put your finger on the trigger." This was a test for the Vampiress. Before Khal could trust in Aleja's love for her mother, they had to make sure that the Vampire would do anything, including sacrificing herself. There was much to be gained from having a Rune Knight Captain-Commander under your thumb. Most of these mortals were disposable creatures, but there were a few that could potentially help secure their victory in this war. Aleja had a special set of skills that Khal would use with or without her permission. The Usurper licked their lips. There was something enticing about watching a person submit to your will, something their colleague Lisa could understand. Once the masked woman did as she was told, Khal would give her a break, finally. Aleja probably already thought that this was all a bluff, but there was no way that she'd be able to know for sure. She'd be foolish to doubt that Khal the Usurper would force her to be the cause of her own demise. "Now drop the gun~." they'd say. "Good! Now I know what you're willing to do to save mama dearest! Hmhmhmhmhm~" After Aleja dropped the gun, Khal would reveal to her the terms and conditions. "As the Captain-Commander of the Secret Services department, I'm sure you've done extensive field research. Naturally, you're also involved with creating battle strategies, right?" The Usurper tapped their chin. "So, I want you to call your men back from the North and tell them to stand down. After that, you'll give me all the information regarding the Rune Knight's battle strategies... and last but not least, You'll bring me an item called the Millennium box." |

Just as she was mentally prepared for what was to come, ready to press the trigger and allow a magical bullet to exit out of the back of her head, Khal told her to drop the gun. Fuck. Alex thought as she sighed, slowly dropping her hand. These games were becoming really fucking annoying. Aleja transported the revolver back into the pocket dimension before balling her fists. The Raider closed their palm again and just like that the elf disappeared. The Vampire said nothing. Aleja was a tough bitch, but this was a lot even for her. Not long after that spectacle, Khal began to explain what it was they wanted. Turns out that they were actually insane. The things they wanted the vampire to do...they'd put her in prison...or worse. Khal wanted top secret information, they wanted Ale to give them an advantage in three different ways. And what the fuck was the Millennium Box?
"You must be out of your damned mind. You're asking me to help you destroy the world. It's treason in the highest degree." she hissed.

"If you want your mother to live, you'll do as you're told, Aleja." Confidence radiated off of the raider. They weren't apprehensive about anything else the Vampire before them had to say, her fate had already been sealed. No matter which way you put it, Ms. Celdrua was sacrificing herself. Whether she was caught in the act or not didn't matter to the Pharaoh so long as they received what they wanted. "I'm sure you won't be caught if you don't want to be caught. You're the Captain Commander, after all~." Khal turned their back and commenced to walk away. Aleja could have endeavored to assail them from behind if she wanted to, but she wouldn't because again, she was just so predictable. "We'll meet here in a fortnight. Don't do anything foolish now, okay~? I'm sure you realize by now that I have eyes and ears everywhere." Khal prided themselves in always being twenty steps ahead. Naturally, they wouldn't be putting blind faith into someone like Aleja Celdrua. No, of course not. Instead, they'll have her visually examined and followed from the shadows. Between their own schemes and the plots carried on by their comrades, there was virtually no way they'd lose this war. |

The Usurper shuffled forward before ceasing in their tracks. They couldn't help but chuckle at Aleja's desperate attempt to stand vigorous. She was beaten, and no blood had been shed in the process. Even then, the Pharaoh brought themselves to honor her wishes. "So long as you do what is required of you, your mother will be treated like royalty. You may think of me as the miscreant, Lady Aleja, but rest assured I do not lie. Your mother is a very powerful healer, I'd be a dunce to hurt her~." Surely it would all begin to make more sense to the vampiric commander. Aleja wasn't the only one Khal was keen on using-her mother was just as valuable. After a moment of pause, the raider commenced to vanish into a smoke-like substance. Their warriors would wait until their king had become one with Aidenwald's winds, and then they too would vanish into the night. |
