Drakkon had taken on an interesting job; this would take him back to his original home. He was in Joya as he had been working on behalf of Paradise Dawn. They had gotten a lot of foreign quests, which could only be handled by those who had reached the highest ranking within the guild. He had finally gotten access to that. The Dragon Slayer had already gotten the details before he had set his adventures to Joya.

It would seem like there was a man who was roaming around the country. This man was said to be a mass murderer, who allowed one of his victims to go. That was how they got the description of the man, but they also heard something more. They had heard about him being possessed by an Oni or at least had one working with him. That line was a bit blurry and they were hoping to have someone from Paradise Dawn handle things there.

Drakkon was fine with this as he walked through the country as if he had always lived there. The people could tell that he was Joyan just from glancing at him and he would nod at them. He did speak the language, so it wasn’t hard for him to fit in. The Dragon Slayer was around this part of the country because their client had learned that this was the last place he was in. Someone was found murdered with the same modus operandi of the killer. That was good because he would be able to find them here.

When he got there though, he would make his way to the dead body as it was fresh. He didn’t like the smell of the fresh corpse, but he was there to use his Ghoul and Dragon abilities to catch the scent of the killer. It was how he was going to find them in the first place. He did smell three things from them, one would be their smell, the second death, and the third a random scent that he figured could be the killers.

The Dragon Slayer was now able to move on to the next part of the job and it was to actually find this guy. He figured it wouldn’t be hard and he knew how he looked. The Demi-God would move about the location he was in. He was trying to catch a scent and he would soon do just that. The smell was close, and he would turn to his right. He would walk in that direction because it was where it was coming from. Still, as he walked forward, he would smell that the scent was moving as well. That wasn’t good, and he wasn’t sure if the man caught on that he was being tracked.

Drakkon didn’t have time to think about that as he was moving faster than before. That was thanks to Rose who had given him the power of her Dragon Slayers after she had been defeated. It wouldn’t take long for the young man to be led into a dead end.

He was confused about this as he knew he was following the killer, but he was not at the dead end. His eyes widened when he caught a whiff of the scent again. This time it was coming from above him. When he looked up, his ghoul powers would activate transforming him to protect him. The man would cut down on Drakkon, but the form he had taken would prevent him from being harmed at the beginning. He would sigh with relief as that was close as he would have the blade under his arm.

He would look over to the man and he would shake his head.

“I didn’t think you would try something like that.” He said to him as he would take out his Yamato.

The killer would smile when he heard that because he was glad to surprise him.

“You aren’t my usual victims, so I had to kill you in a different way than I’m used to. Still, you’re sturdier than you look, which makes this even fun when I do cut you.” He said to Drakkon.

Drakkon would shake his head as if he didn’t care what he would do. He just had to make sure this guy didn’t run away from him. He would rush straight to him and the man would be able to dodge the initial attack. Drakkon’s Yamato would miss, but it was then that the man would notice that he was slower than he usually was. The Devourer Dragon Slayer made him slower, which was something he had Alexandre to thank. He was a loner, but the abilities of the people around him made him stronger, so it was as if they were there fighting alongside him.

It was kind of ironic and he chuckled as he would go in for an attack with his arm. The killer would get hit by that attack as he would move back and see that blood was trekking from his chest. It was then that the man would start laughing and something dark started approaching him.

Drakkon wasn’t sure what it was, but it wouldn’t take long for the man to be covered in darkness and half of his face would look like an Oni. He chuckled when he saw this because it would seem like he did have an Oni with him and they were sharing the same body.

“Let’s kill him together. I want to eat his soul and you can dismember his body.” He said.

Drakkon couldn’t wait to see what was going to happen, but that was when the killer had closed the gap between them. He would feel the slash breaking his armor and cutting his chest. He would have blood come out of him, but he would quickly regenerate as his wounds would heal up. He would shake his head as he looked at him as he was much stronger than he was before. He stumbled back and he waited to see what he could do. He had harmed before he got stronger, so he had an edge over him.

He would use more of the Helios ability as he had gotten stronger and faster because of it. He would use that for his spells to as this was going to be fun. He would wave his arm and a magic circle would appear bringing out a dragon. It would move to his target and he would dodge it, but barely. He would approach Drakkon again and he would attack the man. Drakkon would protect himself this time with another spell, and dragon-scale feathers would appear, creating wings and protecting him. It was then the dragon that had missed earlier approached him again and caught him from behind. It was then that Drakkon would take advantage of this.

He would take his Yamato and he would slice the man and use his spell in sync with the attack. The attacks that he had thrown at the man and his Oni were enough to take him out. The Oni would disperse from the man as he was dying from the blows and he didn’t want to perish with him.

Drakkon would see this and he would shake his head as there was nothing he could do about it. He would look at his target and he would drag the man out of the dead end he was in and he would walk around the place. People would stare at him wondering what was going on, but Drakkon was heading to his client. He wanted to show him proof that he had gotten the man and the job was done. This would make everyone feel at ease when they heard the news. The job was done though and he would get the jewels that were offered at the end of this. He was more than happy about the jewels that he had gotten and now he was on his way. He had other things to do, and the relationship between Paradise Dawn and Joy would proceed to be good for a bit longer.
