At first Gaud had seemed hostile towards Ittindi, that was until he started talking. Then it became apparent that he was there looking for work, Gaud had mistaken him for a dark mage he heard rumors about. Ittindi hadn’t even developed a reputation yet, so it didn’t take long for Gaud to ask his attendants to check around for information on Ittindi. When nothing of note came up he was pleased and told him the details of the job. It seemed that he was worried about being robbed at a necessary trade, when he gave the location to Ittindi it made sense. He was to meet with the seller in a dark alley way, sounded like a prime set up, but that’s ok maybe it would be a more interesting job than his last couple. He would drink and talk with Gaud for a bit as he waited for night to fall.
Once it dark enough he’d head out for this alleyway, Ittindi was typically impeccable with directions, however looking at Gaud’s rough map and the fact that Era’s streets could be quite similar Ittindi ended up lost. The first alleyway he ventured into was a poor looking transient with all his belongings in a box. Still Ittindi had to be sure so when he approached the man with politeness he received spit aimed at him, luckily the man was drunk so it wasn’t hard for Ittindi to step out of the way. He would find himself aimlessly wandering through 3 more alleyways before he managed to find it.
Once there he’d notice the seller was already there, and probably mad that it took Ittindi so long. The other thing was the man was entirely covered by his large cloth cloak. It felt like a setup, Ittindi would be ready to weave his shield as he stepped towards the man or woman. As he got closer, he couldn’t even see if the individual in the cloak moved so he would call out when he got within 1 meter of the seller.
” Good Evening, I’m Ittindi I was sent by Sir Gaud to retrieve a package I have the payment here.”
Ittindi would make a show of the bag in his left hand with the appropriate number of jewels, just in case he needed his right hand. However, the seller didn’t speak a word just pulled out a large bag, with a big tooth from some beast. Putting the tooth back in the bag, Ittindi would hand him the jewels and then the seller would just put the bag in Ittindi’s left hand. Walking back to Guad Ittindi felt awfully confused, the situation had turned out to be completely harmless. He wondered if he was now an accomplice to some kind of thieving ring it felt so out of place for what just happened.
When he made it back to Gaud he was thanked profusely and then given his bag of payment, Ittindi would thank Gaud for letting him take the job and head back to his inn.
