Ittindi
Here he was again, in Captain Luxar’s office, Ittindi’s name had spread around most of Era at this point. He didn’t consider himself a big deal, but he was starting to become the first choice of many for when job needed to be done. Not to mention people loved to hire a butler who had a reputation for magic, why it helped; Ittindi couldn’t quite figure it out. Either way he had been tasked with the follow up for his previous mission. This time he was to tender the resignation of the three betrayers of the knights. Ittindi already knew that he’d probably get the job since he already knew the pattern of his targets.  Captain Luxar would thank Ittindi as he left, though he also wanted all the victims alive. Borrowing a couple handcuffs from the Rune Knights before leaving Ittindi would put the 3 pair in a burlap sack and sling it over his shoulders. Ittindi suit was back to his typical black butler outfit, he had a feeling that he wouldn’t need to worry about his clothes ripping today. Surely these guards would have enough decorum to know when they’re caught.

He’d head out for his first target Clay Adonai, the man who reminded him of his Young Master. He had no doubt there’d be a fight between him and this man. Ittindi would approach him plainly expecting the response, no need for the formalities.

“Clay Adonai, we know of your corruption in the Rune Knights turn yourself over peacefully to await judgement from Captain Luxar.”

To Ittindi’s surprise Clay would turn himself in, voluntarily handing over his badge. He seemed a little happy to be caught, Ittindi wondered if he had been blackmailed into his situation. Ittindi would watch as Clay walked off fresh from his own firing. He didn’t say a word to Ittindi as he left, and it wouldn’t be long before he was lost in the crowd just another citizen now.

Ittindi would move on to the next mean in his list George O’ Malley a real alley type. He’d have to think about possible escape avenues before going confronting George, Ittindi would follow him for a while. Eventually George would find himself taking a narrow alley as a shortcut, that’s when Ittindi would pounce. He almost wanted to start negotiations from a place of power, but if Clay could be polite he should give the others a chance. He’d start speaking projecting his voice towards George.

“George, we know of your corruption in the Rune Knights turn yourself over immediately for judgement from Captain Luxar.”

Ittindi had barley finished the second sentence when the man was off, like a racehorse.  This was what Ittindi had more expected, while the man was fast, he wasn’t faster than Ittindi’s spells. Extending his right arm, Ittindi’s razor sharp thread would shoot out stabbing through a part of the man’s boot causing him to trip from the random strain on one foot. Walking over to him string still sustained Ittindi would put handcuffs on George.

“Such a bad idea to resist arrest, you’re a Rune Knight you know it carries a larger penalty. I hope Captain throws the book at you.”

Ittindi would walk George back to the Rune Knight headquarters delivering him to guards that could bring him before the captain when judgement started. Ittindi had one more target to reach before he could tell the captain. This man had been the most brazen of the bribe takers, possibly because of his strength. Or did the Rune Knights do not investigate their own…Ittindi couldn’t be sure as he hadn’t been inducted in just yet.

Marion Dig, he wasn’t in his usual spot or moving down his usual patterned patrol route. Ittindi wondered if the man had caught wind of the others and decided to get out while he could. That meant there would have to be a spy within the Captain’s crew, or that Marion was extremely stealthy. As luck would have it Ittindi would run into Marion while trying to follow his patterned steps. He almost walked headfirst into the man, instead he’d find himself giving the same awkward speech from before.

“Marion Dig, we know of your corruption in the Rune Knights turn yourself over immediately for judgement from Captain Luxar.”

Marion would throw a bomb down on the ground and smoke would diffuse across the whole alleyway. Ittindi would have to listen to try and discern which direction Marion went. He’d take a guess that he ran backwards instead of past Ittindi. As he cleared the haze, Ittindi would see that he guessed wrong as there was no one in sight past the smoke bomb. He’d have to find a way to catch the man, thinking quick Ittindi stomp then jump magic seals appearing beneath his boots as he was boosted 10 meters into the air, grabbing the roof he’d crouch looking for Marion.

20 meters away in a full sprint Marion was headed towards Era’s gate no doubt fleeing to a different town. Ittindi wouldn’t have much time, especially since he wasn’t as fast as this man. He’d leap from the roof he was on to the next, barely making it. Ittindi decided it’d be better to have one more well-timed dash to try and strike Marion from the air. Dashing over to a 1 story building Ittindi would stamp his feet and jump, this time the magic seal beneath his feet would propel him diagonally upwards as he arced towards Marion. His aim paid off as he collided straight on Marion’s back as he shouted for people in the crowd to help him. Luckily for Ittindi no one seemed to care, as Ittindi slowly handcuffed Marion.

Taking him back, he’d see that the captain had George in the room. He must have gotten word from his guards that Ittindi approached the other, Luxar let out a large sigh as he began the proceedings. He didn’t seem to enjoy firing either of the two men. There had been a small audience gathering and the captain had decided to move the public firing into a courtyard. Once it was all done, he’d call Ittindi back into his office. So far the captain had barely spoken to Ittindi, but this time he spent at least 5 minutes thanking him for helping him root out corruption. Grabbing the money Ittindi would head back to the hotel. Now that his reputation was going up he had been making more as well, counting a couple of coins for his trip for the night.
