With the knowledge of what he was looking for both written down and firmly in his mind the young demi-god set out to the island. They paid for both his fair and any expenses that he would need during his trip in case someone needed a little money to talk they gave him an ample supply too. They wanted to see how he dealt with things but with the extra money saturn figured that they would likely need it back and he was just holding onto it.
Once he was back on the docks saturn hummed softly to himself; there were a few people he knew that he could talk to. The barkeep from the first time that he was there might have some good information for him. There were a couple restaurants that he could check too that were overly friendly. But when he arrived the bartender wasn’t there, it was someone else who was shocked to see the towering demi-god. When asked about the bartender they informed him that he had moved back home.
So instead of focusing on someone that couldn’t help, he went to the restaurants that he had visited. Two of which were under renovations so all there were were some workers and the owners were no where to be seen strangely enough. Once he talked to some of the workers he got a better idea of who he could ask. Right down the street a pair of waiters were having one of their breaks when he was walking up, one of them recognized him while the other was pretty alarmed.
”Hey you two! Got a minute?”
”Sure big guy, we’re just on break so…”
”...You sure?”
”Yeah he’s harmless. What’s up?”
”Well you see I’m here cause the Rune Knights sent me to do a little snooping.”
”They sent a giant to ‘snoop’?”
”Hush brother and let him speak…”
The second waiter sighed and the first one made a little motion for him to continue; saturn gave a little nod and smiled a bit wider. He was glad that people here trusted him kind of, it was mostly because of how much he spent when he came through here last time but he figured it was because he was friends with some of the locals after that long day and night.
”Thanks, well they sent me here to look into something called powder? You guys know anything about it?”
The two of them looked at one another; faces paled and the second waiter shook his head. Quickly standing up and leaving. The first waiter sighed a bit and dumped out the remainder of his drink on the ground. Likely finding the taste wanting now that there was an actual serious conversation happening.
”Do yourself a favor big guy and stop, no one here with any common sense is gonna talk to you about that or the people that deal it. But if you’re gonna keep on pushing might as well keep askin the help. The owners don’t really know anything.”
Saturn blinked a little bit; his naivety in this manner made it hard for him to really understand what the waiter was getting at. Seeing that his advice was falling on deaf ears for the most part the waiter sighed a bit. Scrounging up a napkin, he’d write something on it and hand it to saturn. It looked like an address!
”That part of town is where you should go. Now I gotta get back to it and the next time that you come in don’t talk about this kay?”
”Well next time I shouldn’t be on business so…”
The waiter nodded his head and then headed off, saturn looked at the address and would consider who he could ask where this was. Figuring that he had a few people at the docks that were good with this sort of thing he could head there next…
