Saturn
His worries about there being a group or individual that would give him actual trouble in this caravan were warranted. There were a pair of women that seemed to carry themselves with a heighted respect for themselves that saturn could only naturally draw the conclusion that they were sisters of some sort. Or rather that they were wizards that worked well together. They spoke and seemed to taunt him but their words fell upon deaf ears. Their magic was strong and he could sense it from here. He was dispassionate regarding this sort of instance and didn’t seem to care much for what they had to say which only seemed to infuriate them. One launched fire his way while the other used the ground to attack with ice.

A pair that would normally cause people to worry and back off; or perhaps even surrender outright like they seemed to tell him what he needed to do. The demi-god’s fists clenched in anger and he felt the warmth of the being from within grace his mind again. He wasn’t sure if it was his mother or his sister reaching out from beyond to tell him how to handle this.

The fireball was snuffed out mid air by a huge surge of darkness from all around. Choking the light out and taking the air away. Making the fire gasp out a final time before it could even reach him. The ice was no different. The darkness swelled from under it and spiked up through it. Shattering it every which way. Leaving the sisters surprised and their mouths flapping silently. Saturn knew he could say something to further his cause; maybe even get them to stand down. But they were here on their own accords and it was likely they’d never accept surrendering to him. Not like he cared too much or wanted them to. He wanted to see justice done here and he knew how he could give them some.

His hand clneched and the both of them danced backwards as the shadows leapt up from the ground. Their own defensive magic coming to aid them. His music was far more powerful than the paltry defenses they could summon and he could see the color drain from their clothing as his darkness wanted more than what they could give. It was hungry in a different way than its master but it worked in the same way. Saturn felt irritation take hold for a brief instant. He knew what he needed to do here but he also knew that going to far would… be bad.

Their next barrage of attacks were less powerful than their initial one. They were being more careful; trying to wear him down. But the overwhelming darkness around them fueled saturn a thousand times over. The torches around them snuffed out one by one until the only light they had was the flashes of their spells. A deep and warm tone from the fire of one twin while the other gave a more icy and chilling semblance. It was almost mesmerising to watch; they could have done so much with the magic they were using. To sing songs and to bring joy to people rather than snuff out their freedoms. Saturn’s music seemed to rear up and seemed to be overbearing in comparison.

Snuffing out each attempt, further draining away the color from their cheeks. From their spells. Till nothing but gray seemed to remain of one or the other each time it was cast. The light quickly fading away from them like a leech taking too much blood. There was a worried motion between them both and saturn took the initiative at that very moment. They were swept from their feet, slammed together and then thrown back by tendrils of darkness.

Tumbling through the eerie silent world as saturn could hear the heavy breathing of many warm bodies beyond. He felt that echo’s family was behind them and he was glad he didn’t snuff out the lights back there. Their only real hope was to give him the family that he came for. He felt his ire grow as they stood up, refreshing their pools of mana with draughts from their cloaks. Normally facing a being of power like this would be worrisome. Worrisome thrice over. But to saturn darkness was a staunch and powerful ally. Fueling his need to enact justice where he saw fit.

It wasn’t even a fight to him anymore. It was simply waiting for the right moment for htem to waste everything in a vain attempt to overwhelm him. A vain attempt that he’d just simply bat away like nothing even happened. Their fire was breathless, their ice was lukewarm. Their hopes dashed in an instant like they even had a chance to begin with. That was the sort of thing he never expected of himself; but there was a fuel and anger here that he couldn’t get past. An anger that was deep rooted in two separate lifetimes.

He could tell they were approaching their limits as another set of mana potions dropped to the side. He didn’t seem to care all too much about the way they handled things. Even more so he seemed to care even less for them. Smacking their weak spells aside with his bare hands seemed to be practical slaps to their faces. They flinched as he stepped forward for the first time. Their whole fight he hadn’t even moved. It was strange to see and stranger yet that he wasn’t even giving them an honest battle.

He wasn’t toying with them but he was letting them tucker themselves out so he could simply just move in for the kill as it were. A true wolf, a true demon, a true hunter. Things he wasn’t. Things that he hadn’t thought of before that were rising up to his mind. Advice from his past and from his parent. He knew what he needed to do to these two to make them a non threat. Again they were yanked off of their feet and drawn to him through the darkness. He caught the both of them by their throats and slammed them into the ground with such force it left a crater. He could feel blood spill out onto his armor from their mouths. He had knocked the wind and fight out of them and he simply left them sitting in the ground. It was a strange instance of regret that he couldn’t have enjoyed this fight more; he usually wasn’t a fighter at all but he felt like they could have been a real fight if they had maybe trained more?

They weren’t a threat anymore and his darkness seemed to pull them against the ground. Keeping them from moving and keeping them from fighting again. He had drained them of their mana without even really spending any of his own. When it came to people that would give him an actual fight perhaps they weren’t the ones he had been thinking of. There were named mages all across fiore and these two were just… simply mages that benefited off of being more than one. But against someone with some sort of command of an element they were nothing to. It was strange. He had started this battle worried but now he was just…

Disappointed.
