Her muscles are beautifully defined by years of honing her skills before being sealed away. Skin of a rich, coffee like skin tone that seems to make her nearly timeless, as though she belongs both to the ancient world and to the eternal darkness of night. This dusky hue highlights her piercing violet eyes, gleaming with intelligence and an otherworldly depth that unnerves those who gaze too long. These eyes, so bright and piercing, are like vessels holding secrets she has guarded across many, many lifetimes. Her attire speaks of her leaning towards the arcane and her connection with the abyss. She normally wears dark, flowing robes with intricate gold, silver, or obsidian embroideries, indicative of very ancient, perhaps forgotten culture. She is often adorned in jewelry, particularly gold and silver as part of her layered jewelry cascading from ears, neck, and wrists carries within each its own symbols, which may be for wards, enchantments, or to connect with the spiritual realms. Personality Personality: She's a figure of intimidation and respect, known for brutal honesty and the relentless manner in which she strides through life. She doesn't mince words or pull punches and isn't diplomatic about how her frankness bruises the feelings of others. Honesty to her is a noble trait, while saving people from harsh truth is for cowards. In her mind, if one can't take her straightforwardness, then they are not ready for the candid truths of the world. She is as intense on the field of war as she is in a conversation and there is an element of brutality that echoes from word to action. Cold and calculating, she makes sure to observe her surroundings with utmost care but speaks rarely, taking in all with an air of quiet intent. She is quiet by disposition, rarely speaking more than what is called for because she likes better the role of the observer. Her gaze is piercing, weighing all and everyone with harsh clarity. Those that know her can feel the weight of ambitions she has focused and driven, an iron will that almost pulled off what some thought impossible: creating a Seraphim army to claim the Lucent. The fire of her youth still burns raw, though it's tempered-over a century since. Ulyssia is fearless, hot-headed, quick to anger, and she has little fear of risk. Wisdom tempers such impulses, though: she speaks many languages, understands the intricacies of magic, and knows things about the world that make her frightening. But behind all of that fierceness and force, there is shyness in Ulyssia that only reveals itself when she is alone. She holds with her a strange self-hate, an unrest that follows her even when her triumphs are considered great. It is as if she wrestles with her own existence, never content to be seen or fully known. She prefers to exist in the dark, where she wouldn't draw any more attention than what is necessary, and conceals deep within herself the depth of her vulnerabilities. A complex mixture of ambition, resentment, and self-doubt empowers her, a woman full of paradoxes, brave and self-critical at the same time, brutally candid but reserved. Likes:

Born on Earthland, her mother had fled to the mortal realm to get away from expectations and the rigid hierarchy of her kind. To the Seraphim, an unplanned pregnancy was a bad omen--an unholy union between two opposing forces. Ulyssia's father was a Demon lord, constant yet distant throughout her life. His presence in her life was more spectral than physical; he often appeared to her as a dark silhouette or softly spoke to her mind. Her mother, being a very powerful entity herself, brought Ulyssia up in secret, always on the run, knowing full well that were the Seraphim to ever find them, neither of the two would be left alive. The Seraphim finally found her mother when Ulyssia was ten. They found her, and despite her mother fighting hard to protect her, she was apprehended. Ulyssia watched in such helpless horror as they took her away and her mother was imprisoned far within the depths of the Void in a place not even the powers of her father could reach. For her mother, the Void was a tormenting place, where even the most powerful demons did not have any power, and it became the ultimate prison that Ulyssia's mother was being put into. But from Ulyssia, a fire was born of the pain. Throughout the following decade, she rallied an army--first by using her father's legions and daemons, then by amassing Nephilim and some Seraphim who had become disenchanted with their brethren and the Lucent. These disillusioned members joined Ulyssia in the fight, all of whom desired an end to the Seraphim's dominion. It took all of ten long years for planning, gathering power, and training her forces against the Seraphim. For five years, Ulyssia waged war against the Seraphim, proving to be a powerful foe. However, even with all her power, her strength paled before the united might of the Lucent. Eventually, she fell to betrayal and entrapment. It was the overwhelming numbers and power of the Seraphim and Nephilim that sent Ulyssia screaming into a magical entrapment. Now free, Ulyssia returns to Earthland--weaker, but unbroken. Her followers of demons and daemons are much smaller than it was; nevertheless, they are waiting for her return and patiently await the vengeance she promises to bring about. While her powers may be lessened from what they once were, they are still strong; once again, she sets her mind to that one goal, standing again to enact vengeance on the Seraphim, regardless of the cost it may take to liberate her mother's spirit from the Void.
