Lothwen
There was a certain sense of irony to her presence at this place. Perhaps it was because despite her close ties to religion and the spiritual elements, the green-haired elf her presence was quite foreign even within a place of worship like this. At least these who knew her true nature would likely consider her mere approach to the steps leading into the church nothing short of blasphemy. And yet it was something she felt like she needed to do.

Ever since the events where she had returned to the world of the living and killed these cultists alongside Nasira, Lothwen had grown steadily wary of how her being had changed. Even if she tried to feel emotions, it was as if there was a certain disconnection between her feelings and her mind. It was no doubt the consequence of her descend into this state of undeath.

And yet, even if she felt nothing at it, her mind has still acknowledged that she had slain a living being, and as such she decided to partake in a certain... ritual that mankind practiced.

Even to the other churchgoers her presence earned some bewildered stares, perhaps it was because of her priestess-like garbs, or her ethereal elven-like beauty, but her gaze seemingly fluttered aimlessly around the church's interior as if she was looking for something, and then her gaze settled onto a particular part of the building: A confessional.

Her steps were light as she approached the place, from the initial impression it seemed to be a well-maintained structure, like a large wooden box that was divided into two, a small parting of sorts in the middle serving to provide some privacy between the penitent and the one who would be listening.

Even now she was not entirely certain if it would help, but anything was better than inaction.

Quietly she entered the structure, taking a seat in the box-like space and leaned her back lightly against the back, the small door closing in front of her.

She took a deep breath, waiting for the sound of someone entering the other side of the confessional and then spoke, her foreign dialect clearly noticeable as she spoke in Fiorian.

"Forgive me, father, for I have sinned."

Despite the softness of her voice, her tone seemed quite monotone, devoid of the typical emotions that penitents would voice during their confessions.

"In recent days I have killed several men."

She paused, closing her eyes. "Although they were by all means criminals, they were still living humans. And yet, I feel nothing of significance whenever I think back on the moment I took their lives."

She gazed down at her lap where her hands rested upon, a light shift of her posture and a shift of her hands following as she gazed upon them. "To take life by force is a judgment not meant for mortals to make, and yet the lack of feeling any remorse, sadness, anger, anything at all. It makes me wonder, when one ceased to feel emotion. Does one become a monster?"

A gentle sigh escaped her lips. "I wanted to blame my dislike for humanity for this state of being, but that would be blissful ignorance, for I do not feel anger toward humans, at least not anymore."

She turned her gaze slightly toward the side. "In a way it is eerie, you know certain emotions should accompany such a situation, yet they seem absent no matter how much you try to search for them."

She couldn't help but utter softly. "It seems that maybe my heart did truly die...

Dominic, Clergy of Light

The Orchidia Church has found peace, though to local citizens, the church has always known peace, unaware of the hidden secrets that lay beneath the floorboards. Fortunately, these shades that were kept away from the eyes of the everyday people have been banished from the church. A good deed done with the help of others who cared for the innocents. To make sure peace was assured, Dominic remained at Orchidia, temporarily stationed at the church, though he sent word to his parish at Magnolia, he wasn't sure if they were fine by that, let alone approved it.

He would walk about and observe the citizens, seeing their expression, though some had a variety of looks reflective of their daily life, most were satisfied, which was a calm to the clergyman's soul. Lighting the candles was a simple task, but it was something to do while the others tended to the necessary duties throughout the day. After mass, most had gone for the day, though some citizens stayed behind, a few were Fiorean and Stellan who were in deep prayer, leaving the church relatively empty due to its size.

Several people had given glances to a young lady with green hair. Whenever odd glances, especially those of judgement, were directed, Dominic would notice; back in the Kardia Cathedral, he would try what he could to deescalate any situation before it became a problem, for he always believed a place of prayer should be a place of peace.

The same green haired young lady had made her way to the confessional, though Dominic didn't notice until his eyes caught movement towards a section of the church where there was no other person. The clergyman looked about to see if any of the pastors were available to take confession, but the only one who was on site was actually speaking to an older stellan woman. Dominic then looked to the confession door which then closed. He didn't want her to wait, so he took this chance to try and give peace to a person in need.

He crossed the aisles, his vestments were dark brown, a contrast to the other clergymen who wore colors of white, blue and gold at times, so many people wouldn't assume him to be part of the church, which never bothered him since he didn't care much for the attention, given his longest position in the church was as an archiver.

Dominic entered through the door and sat in the compartment adjacent to the compartment where the green haired young lady had entered. To his side, he saw a silhouette through the screen that separated the two sides and he heard her speak in such a soft tone. Indeed, he was surprised to what he heard, but his heart worried for her. This was difficult for him to console, but the difficulty of this young woman was heavier.

He was quiet for a bit before responding, but when he finally spoke, it was with sincerity, his tone warm and calming, "Do you believe a monster would sit within the house of the lord while questioning their emotions?" He wanted her to think about her actions thereafter. She slew people, claimed to have no emotions, but here she is, confessing her sins, though it may not be out of regret, but she is concerned about what is within her heart, "Do you think a dead heart would allow you to lift your hatred?" Whatever had happened to her that made her hate humans, it must have been traumatic, but to be able to let go of such a strong emotion is usually done with strong will, but it makes him wonder... was the hatred lifted because she lacked emotions?

"Yes... criminals or not, they were living" Dominic looked across from himself at the wooden wall, he could see the silhouette of the young lady in his peripheral. The sound of soft hymns were playing by the choir somewhere in the church. The subject of killing is always a heavy thing, which was why he himself was always hesitant to hurt another person unless it was necessary, "But know that ending a life isn't just a sin to that person, but also to yourself... a true monster would turn and cut down the innocent if they are not hesitant, no careful, if they become too use to killing" a teaching of control, something he learned when watching one of his cousins become too use to doing harm to others that he couldn't stop. He didn't know who this green haired woman was, but he was sure she wasn't a monster.
