Wandering the streets a soft sigh escaped the Neko's lips as she looked at the request board that was located at a large plaza within the town. Although she might not have dealt with human societies often, she knew well enough how those things worked. Whenever people needed help, and it was something they couldn't handle themselves for some reason they posted up those 'requests' for people to handle. Of course, considering those requests were paid people were often eager to lend a hand, and in her case, she had no choice but to accept one herself.
Her food rations were running low, and hunting on territory belonging to the humans of Magnolia would be considered poaching, and the last thing he needed was to get arrested for something silly like trying to catch dinner. "Ugg, I'm already starting to miss Oberon's Forest..."
A soft whine escaped the young Neko's lips as she pulled a small piece of parchment from the request board and read its contents. Indeed, she might have been a Wild Neko but she had at least learned a bit on how to read!
It appeared this request, in particular, belonged to the local priest of Magnolia's church, a certain 'Father Jerad' who was in search for someone to help him tend to the sick. Indeed, she had heard rumors before about how a plague was sweeping across the city, leaving a wave of ill people in its wake and while the rich were already tending to themselves, the poorer people had to settle for less... pleasant remedies. Fortunately, it seemed the kind priest was trying his utmost to help those unfortunate souls, and he had invited them to the Cathedral where he was distributing medicine to them. Of course, one man couldn't handle so many ill people and therefore he sought help from a benevolent adventurer who was willing to lend a hand. Usually, she would be unwilling to get involved with a mess like that, but the fact that in her eyes the priest was working against the traditional rules of human society, she had to admit there was a certain charm in his stubborn resolve to aid the poor. Not to mention, if it would pay her meals for a while, then wouldn't it be foolish of her to decline the opportunity to lend a hand? And that was what led her currently to travel toward the cathedral, just a mere moment after looking at the river that ran beneath the bridge she was crossing.
Gods, just the sight of the water was sending shivers down her spine... Nonetheless, with the cathedral coming in sight it appeared Y'shtola was soon about to reach her destination...
