Orchidia's river, it was beautiful in the summer so he'd been told and still it was a sight to behold. The man, dressed in a black turtle neck, blue jeans and black boots stood in the grass near the flowing water, the cold water rushing past gently. A breeze nipping at the mans exposed nose while his body remained protected from the elements, a large black coat and gray scarf shaking in the wind.

The holy knight found himself staring aimlessly into the pools before him, what little hair showing under his gray hat swaying as well. He found himself growing more and more anxious while in Orchidia and planned on leaving the town soon enough, but before then he'd at least see some of the sights.

He'd already seen the church and most of the town but now he was going for the more scenic wonders. Sighing to himself, he would allow the wisps of smoke coming from his mouth to bring him back to reality and he'd notice a young woman beside him.

She was small and pretty, and that violet hair of hers stuck out like a sore thumb. Smiling while looking over, Amen'ra would make simple conversation with a kind tone.

"This is truly a marvelous sight, don't you agree?"

Ianthe was tired of Orchidia, and that was saying something considering her love for travel. Every moment she spent in the town was starting to become overwhelming.  From her last scrap with demons to the petty attacks on her life because of the work she did for Red Hades. For whatever reason it seemed like everyone was out to get her. Even still she was here at the place she disliked the most, the place that gave delivered her most recent nightmares.

With all of this discontent for the place she was here nonetheless. Dressed in a fitted black leather jacket, a pair of white jeans, and some dark boots that could easily been seen as black but upon closer inspection they looked to be a really dark purple. Her delicate hands were stuffed in her pockets and her violet gaze looked over the calming waters. Coming down off of a high, she didn't notice the individual coming up besides her, until he spoke. Meh, it's alright I suppose. Nothing special but I can appreciate it. Probably not too safe out here though, not after what occurred here. Her tone was nonchalant as the words fell out of her mouth. She was still shaken up about fight demons and getting over it was hard. Had a certain someone not promised they'd be here to pick her up she would have never come back to this river. Looking over at the person who was speaking she shot a smile back at him.

The answer he was given wasn't the one he was expecting, but then again he didn't exactly take offense. Not everyone would find the view to be something so magnificent and he wouldn't ram the idea down her throat, but her answer matched his own. Maybe it would of been a better experience if demons hadn't just violated the earthly realm, but he was content in having survived the ordeal.

"On that note, I can agree."

Amen'ra smiled back, his eyes meeting the girl near him. "But i'm not too worried about another attack in Orchidia, they've already lost that battle. It would be foolish to try again."

He'd add again, now stretching his limbs above his head to relax his tight muscles; still sore from the battle. Maybe he would go to a sauna or hot spring somewhere to ease his body but for now he would simply let the winds flow around him, their cool embrace keeping him grounded. Maybe this woman would give him some interesting conversation.

"I take it you participated in the battle?"

His brow would raise and he would examine her in secret. She looked pretty capable despite her stature, and he wouldn't count her out for anything physical considering the things he'd seen on the battlefield.

Yea. I was just meeting up with a friend and this..This sort of thing kinda appeared and out popped some demons. I honestly don't know how we survived. I have an awful feeling that won't be the last time I see a demon...Especially here.

Pulling out a joint from the inside of her pocket jacket she lit it up and put it to her mouth. Her nerves were starting to get the better of her as she spoke. The calming effects of the herb that filled her lungs placed her in better state as she took a deep pull, holding it in for a moment and then exhaling out in a thick cloud.

Who knows how many they have on the other side of wherever they came from, and I've heard that this wasn't the only area in Orchidia that had gotten them. For now I guess, it's behind us. Were you around for it?

She threw the question back at him more or less, just to keep the conversation up. Ianthe didn't want to be out here alone anymore anyway, especially not with what could happen.

Listening intently to the young woman, Amen'ra merely stared calmly as she spoke and related to her statement enough. He may have been summoned to the demonic rift by his Holy Knight superiors, but a lot of people barely managed to survive the ordeal and Orchidia had been shaken up by the happening. The man also knew that the demons might come back in the future but for now they were safe and so he would nod to the woman.

Keeping his mouth closed and simply allowing the scene to play out on it's own. The smoke from the girls joint blowing past him as she apparently calmed herself with the flower, something he wasn't capable of being in the HK but he didn't mind.

"Yea, they were all over the place. I dealt with some in the outskirts of the forest and have several companions who have me reports of rifts opening elsewhere in the town... Everyone was so unprepared it's a miracle we all made it."

Thinking back to that day now, it still made him think of how quickly all their lives could of been lost but he wasn't going to let that scare him into submission.

"Not gonna lie, the entire thing has put me on edge but I refuse to live in a constant state of paranoia."

She had to admire his bravery and she had to admit to herself that he was right. She couldn't continuing going on having a " victim " mentality. It wouldn't do her any good worrying to death but she also had to maintain some level of caution. Taking another pull of the wonderfully grown herb she turned towards the man who's name she hadn't gotten just yet. Now that she took a good look at him she could see he was easy on the eyes, at least easy on her eyes. Turning her head to exhale a deep cloud of smoke she extended her hand to offer him some.

I never got your name stranger. Care to share it with me? Her words lightened up, she sounded less dreary and annoyed. She couldn't remember the last time she was actually welcoming to someone that wasn't offering her something in some way. It was actually nice to just talk to someone not outright crazy. Her mind instantly shifted to Caius, she made a mental note to talk to him about what he was, because either she was crazy or he was an actual demon himself.

Amen'ra let the silence fill the void between them while the girl inhaled on her joint, taking in the fumes and breathing out a cloud of dancing smoke. Turning to him, the male could tell that the woman was someone who likely didn't care for much or rather wasn't overbearing or energetic. instead she looked like she would rather spend her time relaxing with a joint on the beach, or maybe it was just her demeanor at the moment.

Only time would tell.

Observing the joint and smirking before taking it and puffing lightly on the substance, he would inhale deeply and allow the toke to fill his lungs. Slowly exhaling out the pungent herb and smirking back at the girl, hand her back the joint he figured why not. It's not like anything bad was going to happen from partaking in a bit of pot with a stranger.

"Thanks... My name's Amen'ra, and what about you?"

He'd question, a brow raised to the pretty girl before him while he kept his eyes locked onto her own.
