Finally, Astera was a thing of the past. The Lord of Skaal moved forward on his noble steed with two of his viking warriors behind him. Too much of his time had been spent in Astera defending people who held no loyalty towards him and for what? All so that he and his people would not appear hostile? Perhaps he had done enough for Fiore already. Still, he had a brother who's blood remained on the hands of government officials in Fiore but the Elf had already strayed away from vengeance- at least on the entire country. Vengeance was still a thing that sat heavily on his mind but now he felt obligated to only target those who had been the cause. It would make no sense to murder hundreds of innocents now, especially since he had already grown to love this country. Yes, he was in way too deep and now he'd have to adjust.
The three vikings made their way through the forests outside of Astera. Worth Woodsea wasn't far from here but his nations were on the southern side- closer to Orchidia. The silver Titan glared forward thinking of what to expect upon returning. If anything bad had happened someone would have found him by now so hopefully it was just how he left it. It felt surreal really, that he was in Fiore. So far he had managed to secure rule over a tribe of Nekomatas which meant he ruled two nations. Just the day before he had been in a wicked fight with Erebus against demons who sought to bring his soul back to the Abyss. The gods surely placed each other together for a reason. Perhaps Vali was meant to protect his fellow Icebergan and deliver him back to the gods. One thing was for certain though, the female demon had pushed Val's mind further than it had ever been pushed before. Toying with his mothers identity like that, it caused him to slightly crack.
In a way he was...calmer than before? A sense of entitlement maybe? The universe was doing a good job in showing him that he was favored. I cannot let that go to my head... he thought. Death was real and the gods would only protect him as long as he worked hard enough not to die. "Home sweet home." he smirked as he approached the gates of Skaal. Quickly the warriors guarding called to others for them to tend to their Lord. At last he was home.
