You are still too weak to represent Daeva Eye. Kaiser Bo’s words echoed inside the woman’s mind as they had been for days now. Nuala was grateful for the opportunity the Matriarch had given her, but her words, albeit honest and truthful, were harsh and hurtful. She never thought of herself as inferior before, but the power gap between the Voidling and the other witches of the guild had only become more obvious the more time they all spent together. Venus Rosé was the epitome of magical superiority; the red witch’s power was ridiculous and overwhelming and in an honest battle Nuala would be lucky to even get close enough to attempt to assassinate her. Xandra Queen was equally strong as she was innocent looking – a pretty face with a wicked magic and a massive amount of potential. Nuala had heard rumours about a certain demoness walking amongst them as well, but wasn’t too familiar with the force that was Yumi yet. And the guild’s leader herself was of course on an entirely different level to begin with. She had scolded Nuala, excluded her from an upcoming tournament held between the country’s guilds and told her to go train in seclusion and only return once she had improved her skills, was on par with the others and wielded a weapon that was actually worth being wielded. Kaiser had given Nuala a rusty old dagger to start her practices with and while it was clearly meant as an insult, seeing how this weapon was complete shit, it also represented her current skill level – and it simply wasn’t enough. Kaiser was right. Once Nuala knew how to make the most out of her skill set, she would no longer be a burden to everyone else. For the time being however, the female thief had decided to get wasted inside Warmwool Inn – Dahlia’s only bar. The booze was decent and somehow there was always a group of people present and having a good time. Nuala was dressed entirely in black, but no longer wore her usual cloak to conceal herself. A black pair of pants, boots and a simple tank top adorned her lean body, whereas her dark hair fell loosely over her shoulders. The Voidling’s marks glowed purple under the dimmed light and even though it was stuffy inside these walls, she seemed to be enjoying herself. Without saying much to anyone, Nuala grabbed the first drink that landed on the counter, regardless of the fact that she wasn’t the one who had ordered it, and took a long sip. In the meantime, the rusty dagger given to her by the vampire sat idly at her hip, waiting to be used on someone. |

The time was almost sunset, and the bar was beginning to get more crowded. Johanna sat at the bar since she was alone. There were others like herself, but she paid no attention to them, other than to make sure that none of them meant harm to her. After being a part of a guild and spending a long time in Oak City during the founding months of the guild, she felt like an outsider being anywhere else, and being an outsider meant to her that she could be in danger at any given moment, so she had her guard up at all times, even though she was at a bar and here to relax. Johanna had only brought her sword with her because coming to a bar with her armor and shield and all of that...was a bit much.
Johanna was simply waiting for her drink to arrive. She had been in the bar for a good ten minutes now, having downed just one drink before a violet-haired babe situated herself onto the barstool next to hers. It would be a lie to say that Johanna wasn’t enchanted by her beauty for a second there, but she wasn’t feeling chatty so she stayed silent, waiting for her drink. But the moment her drink arrived, that girl took it like it was hers. Johanna didn’t think that such a trivial thing would anger her so much. Maybe it was all the stress of ‘I need to be more than fodder’ built up to this point. “Excuse me but that’s mine,” she said, turning to face the girl fully. Her tone expressed her disappointment and so did her features. If the girl gave her back her drink then there would be no issue, but if she didn’t, Jo would have to resort to force to get it back.

Daeva Eye had finally conquered all of Dahlia City; the area was now their home and under their rule. When Nuala was introduced to Kaiser she quickly learned that the vampire was a control freak thirsting for power and order. Kaiser wanted things to go her way and even though she was what she was, this didn’t necessarily mean that things had to fall into chaos – it was quite the opposite actually. Under Daeva Eye’s rule the city was finally beginning to bloom again and the citizens were being protected from the otherwise countless monster attacks that happened here almost on a weekly basis. It was undeniable that the people of Dahlia had every reason to be grateful to them. Kaiser might have seized these lands, but her intentions were good and the circumstances were beneficial even to the poorest of farmers. So when Nuala decided to take someone else’s drink she thought nothing of it. The thief was already in a gloomy mood when she arrived at the bar and although drunkenness didn’t come easy to her, the burning sensation of alcohol in her mouth and throat very much put her mind at ease and into a more dreamy state. The woman whose drink she had snatched decided to speak up however, and so Nuala turned to her right to see who she was dealing with. And frankly, she was baffled. The sheer size of that woman – was she even human?! – was ridiculous. She had to be a solid arm’s length taller than Nuala (probably not, but it sure felt like it) and somehow she still managed to look womanly and gorgeous. She had dark blue hair, strangely tanned skin and golden eyes. Nuala was staring probably for a bit too long until she realized what the woman had said. If Nuala hadn’t been so frustrated with herself and the situation she currently found herself in, she most likely wouldn’t have acted out. But being spoken to by a stranger, only for them to correct her again, and tell her that she was wrong about something (alongside the alcohol she’d already consumed) really put the nail in the coffin this time. Slowly, very slowly, Nuala lifted up the glass and began swirling the liquid around for a few moments, before finally taking a long sip and emptying the drink. “So order yourself a new one.” And with that, the Voidling put the empty glass back onto the bar table and slid it over to her. “Bitch.”

“So order yourself a new one.”
Maybe it was time to prove to her guildmaster, and most importantly herself, to be less like ‘fodder’ within her guild and more like someone whose name was remembered by people in Advent World. Even though she was in a different guild’s domain at the time being, she felt brave, and it was all fueled by what the violet-haired lady said to her. While she could be spitting hurtful words right back at the girl, Johanna felt the urge to bite, rather than bark, and chew it all up. The amazonian held her gaze the whole time, and by the time the woman finished asking Jo to get a new drink and right before she called her a female dog, the dark-haired warrioress had drawn her sword with her left hand while getting up swiftly, easily towering above the vibrant haired person due to her inhuman height and swung her sword with full force at her target’s neck. If her attack was unobstructed, the blade of her sword would slice through her neck like a knife through cheese, or better yet—soft butter. ‘Bitch’. It was funny because it was ironic; because Jo wasn’t the person who was acting like a bitch right now. Whether the hit connected, or the target was able to react in some way, Johanna would immediately retract her sword and kick the barstool she had been sitting on back as she would go on to take position in her usual sword fighter stance, keeping a distance of eight meters between herself and the woman. Plan B was in line for her to employ in the case that her target was able to react somehow to her initial assault. She kept her eyes peeled on the target, prepared to take any necessary action at any moment. Johanna surmised that it was nigh impossible for her target to have been able to react considering she left no time for her to do so, as her actions were executed in quick succession leaving not a single gap in the sequence, not to mention how close they were already in the first place since they were sitting next to each other at the bar, also taking into account Johanna’s ability to reach far with her hands thanks to her wingspan (almost exactly proportional to her height), and because her target was babbling away.
Everything felt right in the moment, like this was the perfect chance for her to show everyone, just how much she was worth. Her guildmaster would be proud, her dead father would be proud, if of course she didn’t get killed like a retard. If she knew that her guildmaster was proud, she was satisfied enough to keep moving forward in her life, because her father was dead and there was no way she would find out if he was proud of her or not at this point.

Nuala could feel tension arise within the air; the pub had gone quiet and the few people present had their eyes set on the two women. Nuala hadn’t finished speaking yet, when the other woman drew her sword with her left hand. She could hear the metal shrieking and readied herself for what was to come. Nuala wasn’t hesitant any longer and a good old bar fight was a welcomed change in her currently dry and boring life. The woman, who visually towered over the thief, unsheathed her sword and swung the weapon at Nuala. The Voidling dodged the attack by leaning herself forward onto the lower bar counter, but she could still hear the hissing blade glide through the air where her neck had been previously. She wouldn’t be surprised if she had lost a few strands of hair there. Nuala’s right hand went down to her Rusty Dagger and as the other woman retracted her sword, pushed her barstool back and brought some distance between them Nuala did the same. She rolled off her barstool and crouched down. Both of them were now in a somewhat stationary position, approximately 8 meters away from each other. The tall woman wielded her weapon with her left hand, which was something Nuala didn’t see very often. What made the Voidling so deadly wasn’t sheer strength however, but rather her cunning speed and the nature of her attacks. Nuala was able to cross the distance between herself and the raven haired woman in less than a second. Nuala dashed at her with full speed (as fast as she could really) and once she was up in Johanna’s face, the Voidling had no doubt that the stranger would struggle to deal with her. Once Nuala had closed the distance of 8 meters in less than a second, she would reach up, grab Johanna’s left arm, which was holding a sword, with her own left arm while aiming the dagger, which was in her right hand, at her thigh. She could have gone straight for the abdomen of the woman, but she didn’t want to risk her attack being blocked by her free hand – but if she tried that, chances were that Nuala was physically stronger – she was a Voidling after all. If the dagger would hit the woman’s thigh, Nuala would run the weapon down her flesh in order to hinder her limb to the point at which it couldn’t be used anymore and would force her on her knees. Should Johanna decide to defend herself against the stabbing attack, she would be forced to lower herself down onto Nuala’s level, which the Voidling would then use to kick away her legs instead, forcing her to lose balance completely and fall. And if she fell, there would be plenty of opportunities for more stabbing after all. |

As she moved back to create a space between the two, her assailant and closed the gap as if it was nothing, and grabbed Johanna’s hand in which she held her sword, then proceeded to stab her right in the freaking thigh. The Amazonian had little time to react, and all she could do was scream like a
Since there was nothing more she could do, she just tried to brace the pain by screaming at the top of her lungs. Everyone at the bar was pretty scared and shocked at this point. Of course they would understand that Daeva Eye members were not to be messed with, after this clear demonstration of power. Johanna felt quite ashamed after being reduced to the weak bitch she realised she was. Of course at this point she wouldn’t know that Nuala was a member of the local guild. The tall dark-skinned woman couldn’t hide the look on her face that showed she was in a world of pain. She was too proud of herself to beg the woman to stop, so she put full force into the hand that was trying to stop her enemy from dragging her dagger down any further, though it was quite obvious at this point who was stronger than who.

Nuala’s Rusty Dagger connected with the woman’s thigh and neatly cut through her soft flesh. This would without a doubt leave a pretty scar. She screamed in pain and although the Voidling enjoyed the success of her own attack, there was something irritating about the scream that had now made its way past Johanna’s lips. Was she becoming a softy at last? Truth be told, joining Daeva Eye and meeting new people, some of which she now considered close friends, had made Nuala far less violent. She resorted to doing more spy-related work for Kaiser instead, which was probably why her skills were so rusty. For someone her age, Nuala certainly should be better at handling a weapon. When the tall girl yelped, she reached down for Nuala’s arm to stop her from continuing her attack, but rather than fighting back the Voidling decided not to hurt her leg any further. With her eyes set on the woman’s sword which she still held in her left hand, Nuala let go of her and pulled herself a step away from Johanna. “You’re too damn loud,” she murmured, more to herself rather than her opponent who was now crouching down, clearly struggling to keep herself standing with her hindered limb. “Everyone’s already looking at us,” and while Nuala said those things, she took another step forward, aimed her Rusty Dagger at Johanna’s throat – and stabbed her. Blood splattered onto the wooden floor of the bar and the Voidling placed the dagger back at her side. If Johanna was still holding on to her weapon at this point, she would simply remove it from her and then grab the woman to drag her down stairs where the hospital and the healers were. Nuala didn’t want her dead – she just wanted her to shut up, which is why she’d decided to K.O her. The healers should be able to patch her right back up in a few hours and Nuala would certainly pay them a fair sum of money to do so. Some time went by and the night was certainly going to be a long one. The healers managed to patch the girl back up and made sure she wouldn’t get blood poisoning (after all Nuala’s weapon was pretty shitty and rusty) and Nuala sat by her bed, waiting for her to wake up again. The Voidling didn’t need much sleep anyways and besides she had made her mind up on something. That woman was quick to anger, but Nuala had provoked her. She didn’t know what she was going through, but someone who was this willing and ready to fight – and tall and beautiful on top of that – would fit perfectly into Daeva Eye. And so Nuala waited and waited until Johanna woke up and once she did, she leaned over her bed and greeted her with a crooked smile. “Welcome to Dahlia, Princess.” EXIT |

Unfortunately it was the end for her. Or at least that’s what she thought as soon as she raised her dagger, aimed at her neck. There was no way she would survive this, she thought. At least a wound in her thigh could be stitched up and healed. A stab to the neck will definitely kill her, she thought. And then she was sent to the world of the dead...for a short visit.
A few hours later, the Amazonian woke up from a deep sleep and the first thing she thought of was, ‘Am I a ghost?’ But after gazing down at herself and seeing that she was wrapped up in bandages, almost like a mummy. She couldn’t move her neck if she didn’t want to pass out again, so she just looked around to see as far as her eyes could. The last thing she expected was for the girl who stabbed her in the freaking neck for being loud, to be the one to take her to get healed. “Welcome to Dahlia, princess.” Johanna was mentally smiling after hearing this. She had so many questions to ask her, the first thing being ‘Who are you?’ but she would only be able to do it once she was in a better condition. She would have a long talk with her, but not at the moment since she just got stabbed in the throat a few hours ago.
