The church was a towering structure that lorded over the rest of the buildings around it. It had peaks and spires on the ends and a marble finish. Jin approached the building and set his glaive on the wall on the outside. He flicked a homeless man a Jewell. "Watch that for me."
The doors eased open, despite their immense size and thickness. Inside he could hear coughing and wheezing already. Instinctively he brought his arm up to cover his mouth and nose. "Jeez what's going on in here. This is bad." He slowly tiptoed down the hall. each side was lined with people on beds and laying on blankets made into bedding on the ground.
In the middle of it, all was a man adorned in golden and white robes, directing priests back and forth. He had a furrowed brow and sweat on his forehead.
"Father Jarred. I'm Jin with the Fairy Tail guild," he said as he crossed the room and reached out his hand to shake Jarred's but stopped just shy and retracted it. They both shrugged at one another knowing it was best not to touch in case they would spread sickness.
"Thank you for coming. I would like yo to distribute the medicine to the locals. it's over here, The father brought Jin to the stash of medical supplies. It all seemed like home to him.
"Don't worry Father. I'll have this done in no time,"he said as he grabbed the supplies.
Over the next few hours, Jin spent his time dropping off medicine to the sick and in need. It reminded home of his days back at the barracks and in the camps.
He took a moment to look around and made sure no one was watching and then kneeled next to an elderly woman that was ill.
"Here take this," he said and administered the medicine. With it, he poured some yellow light into her body and cleared away her sickness. "Just lie here for awhile,"
Eventually, the father caught him and asked him to help with the doctors. Jin spent the remaining few hours diagnosing people and giving them treatments for the sickness and new bandages. It was nice to get back into the mix again and help those that needed it.
In the end, the Father thanked him and handed him some of the medicine for himself. Jin turned it down and simply pressed his hands on his own chest and sent a beam of light into his soul that soothed away the coming sickness. They thanked one another and then he left.
