Rania was walking leisurely through the streets of Magnolia Town. It was a beautiful day; the sun was shining and the sky was cloudless, the weather finally mild as another harsh winter had ended. Rania wasn’t a fan of the cold and she was glad that the temperatures were slowly rising again. The young healer had been living in Magnolia for almost a year now and she very much enjoyed the bloomy town. It was pretty, filled to the brim with nice people and an abundance of shops and offered many things for her to do. But most importantly, Magnolia City had a decent hospital that allowed her to work as a healer and nurse and paid her a decent amount of money. Nothing crazy, but it surely was enough to pay her bills and even then she could always do another quest here and there if she needed more.

Because of her occupation, Rania was occasionally called to help out at other places and today was going to be another one of those days. Father Jerad, who was at the Magnolia Kathedral, had asked for assistance with a pressing matter. There has been a wave of sickness which seems to have affected the people throughout Magnolia. Rania wasn’t exactly sure what the illness was all about, but she had heard about it at the hospital and treated some people who had it before. In times like these it wasn’t unusual for the citizens to seek shelter at the church however and thus Rania was on her merry way to help out as much as she could.

Rania entered the church after a cozy walk and immediately met with Father Jerad. “You must be the healer,” he assumed and she nodded at him. “Yes, my name is Rania. I was told there are many sick people here who require treatment?” The Father nodded and led her into the kathedral. There, onto the ground, many futons were laid out with sickly people lying on top of them. There were many people around already, trying their best to help. The symptoms were fever and coughing and many were said to feel nauseous as well. “I have prepared some medicine, but if you can assist with your magic that would be fantastic as well.” Rania accepted the medicine and began distributing it among the sickly, beginning with the old and the children.

For the next few hours, Rania walked around the church and treated one person after another. There were far more patients here than she had expected, so she assumed the virus was highly infectious. She used her magic to ease the pain of the coughs and whatever nausea was there and distributed the medicine in hopes that they would all recover soon. At the end of the day Rania was feeling quite exhausted herself. This had taken her several hours but many people were feeling better already. She met up with Father Jerad once again and they spoke about everything. She received both payment and a dose of the medicine from him for herself and once they bid their farewells, Rania hurried home, took the medicine and decided to rest for the day and the next.
