Masami
What exactly is pleasure? Masami heard that there are real people who find pleasure in murder, some seek it in dangerous joyrides, while some like Masami seek it by simply brewing tea for his mother. Masami never understood exactly why people enjoy watching him on stage—was it because he was doing a great job in performing? Or was it because people find his face amusing to view? With a notepad on one hand, Masami walked through the streets of Caberet Crescent, which oddly reminded him of the Lower District in Myras City, where drunkards and fights usually occur at random phases, although Hosenka City seems much more light-hearted (even in the midst of angsty, lusty streets) compared to the places Masami has been in Fiore so far. Even at nighttime, the lights in this street seemed so lively, that Masami keeps forgetting the fact that he may get robbed, or stripped off of his valuable items (and money), but still he had the confidence to reveal his face with the mask only hanging on the side of his face. "Let's see what tonight brings, shall we?" said he with a gentle giggle, sketching the sights right in front of him, standing still in the middle of the road.

Fujaku Nijiiro
As Fujaku walked through the city streets he couldnt help but hum a joyan song. He was wrapped head to toe in his fathers former kimono, the shattered sheath of his families former katana was tied to his waist band. And the one proud clan symbol of the Indigo Peacock was torn and disgraced much as the one armed ronin now was.

The sing itself told of the first murderous samurai of Joya, usually sang as a warning to children not to hurt others. But Fujaku didnt care about hurting people, he was to far gone to use the song as anything else then a taunt to the people who could understand the words he was saying.

He passed by the stranger on the street and stopped after a few steps. That aura... that clothing style....

Fujaku called out with the typical joyan introduction. But it was embedded with venom. He turned and smiled his one arm up in the air as he spoke. "Your aura is quite strong. Some would say monstrous. Tell me are you an adventurer?"

Fujaku looked like a monster of scarred skin and ruined flesh. The one arm he had lost was obvious and fujaku couldnt help but smile, knowing he probably looked weak and helpless.

Nobody needed to admit the stares enveloping Masami's direction, he was used to it. Ever since merely Sultry Heights, people had been looking at him, murmuring behind his back, as if he didn't understand anything they mentioned. It was rare for him to receive actual calls, such as the one who waved an arm at him, as if he knew Masami. Of course, the performer looked back – waved back, even. "Ah, good eve—" said he, however everything was suddenly put into an escalation Masami did not expect. This man seemed to be familiar of Masami, although his questions referred to utter ignorance. Last time, a stranger mentioned Masami as "smelling like his lord," and now this one was calling Masami's "strong aura," what exactly is up with these Fiorians?

No... his clothing didn't look Fiorian, or maybe it's because he's in Hosenka, which was why his outfit was Joyan in appearance. He greeted Masami in a Joyan way, too, could it be that both of them have similar blood? "I will not say that I call myself an 'adventurer' however..." this time, Masami spoke in Joyan, looking upwards to express his way of thinking. He was correct, though—he went to Fiore to look for a cure but... he ended up becoming an adventurer? Is that right? "Monstrous aura? Haha, is that bad?" is it? Is it bad? Masami was panicking on the inside, although he was looking completely fine on the inside. What are auras, even? How does one feel it? Masami, instead of analyzing the man's appearance, he suddenly analyzed himself. Some might say self-awareness, but Masami was already self-interrogating in a way.

With a fake but well practiced smile Fujaku waved a hand infront of his own face in the air. He spoke in Joyan.

"No no~ it is a good thing as an adventurer!" He smiled as he laughed a bit. "Forgive me if I came off strongly, it wasnt my intention. I used to be like you. Traveling around and exploring the world. But..."

He motioned at his missing arm and scarred disfigured face.

"Sadly it wasnt a long adventure. But that is in the past." He looked the young man up and down. Taking in every detail he could. "Say, it's been a while since I had met a real joyan in this land. Would you like to go drinking? Perhaps a meal?"

He smiled and even offered to pay, he wpuldnt allow him to refuse if he tried. He put his arm around him and laughed. "Nonsense! Nonsense! You cant refuse hospitality from your own countrymen. For shame, let us enjoy and imbibe tonight in the name of our homeland." He would then try to move te young man toward the nearest tavern. If he went with he would open the door and let him in first before ordering in Fiorian. Fujaku smiled.

Masami
Are these what they call con men? For some reason, Masami remembered his guild master reminding him about strangers, and Masami is exceptionally excellent when it comes to strangers... in being taken away, that is. Too easily trusting most of the time, but too much of a cynic, too. Not knowing if he was being laid-back or overly careful, Masami's once again becoming a walking contradiction. Now, this man was asking Masami for a drink, and not for his name. It was rather a different experience compared to Sieghart Mountains – it would have been effective... if they were talking to a woman, that is.

He shook his hands in front of him as well, "Ah, I do not drink..." he lightly chuckled afterwards, stepping backwards, 'nor do I like people who drink.' However, before he could even leave, he was already dragged into the nearest tavern. Whoever this man is, he was right—Masami can't refuse hospitality from his own countrymen, and that's where he was left finished. Immediately after entering the tavern, Masami was being stared at—the other man, who dragged Masami inside, were given glares of jealousy for 'dragging such a beautiful lady in' and may intend to fight for Masami, whom had the appearance of a woman.

Instead of backing out, Masami gave himself a palm on the face. What if he ends up being taken away? Would then be Masami allowed to 'beat them up' the way his guild master taught him to? But if he'd report this to the guild, Masami would definitely be in trouble for being dragged in by a stranger, and then he'll be 'taught how to fight like a man' and push-up while someone heavy (Masami imagining his guild master on this scenario) sitting on top of his back. "Listen, I am unsure of your reasoning behind such hospitality, I am taught not to easily trust such deceitful men." Masami embraced a serious tone, although not moving an inch from his spot. It would have been considered rude if he left so suddenly, and whoever this man was, he had socially trapped the Joyan performer.

Fujaku Nijiiro
Fujaku laughed at the mans words. He was smart at the very least. But Fujaku was devious. He waved his hand again.

"Nonsense! Nonsense! You wound me my new friend. I have been without a proper Joyan companion for along time. And I hope to perhaps enjoy just a simple night of comroddery between countrymen. He pulled the chair out for his friend and set down in another chair at the same table. He spoke in fiorian and ordered only a drink for himself, and a large table of food and snacks.

"Please! Go ahead. I bear no I'll will, only eagerness to reconnect with my homeland. Besides, I can barely fight someone as strong and adventurous as you. Youd probably wipe the floor with a one armed man like myself, it wouldnt even be worth trying anything funny." When he spoke to the man he only spoke in Joyan, never in Fiorian.

He smiled and raised his glass mug. "Kanpaaaai!" He said and chugged the drink down without spilling a drop. Eve. With one hand he was skilled in drinking. Soon the mug was empty and with a heavy breath out and in he cooed.

"Wooooo~ good beer! A shame you dont drink. I recommend it if you ever change your mind."

Masami
'A proper Joyan companion, huh?' Masami tried to think exactly what, or why... so far, Masami hasn't met any actual Joyan apart from his own guild master, then the people here in Hosenka. There was something up with this man that Masami couldn't exactly put his finger upon – is it because Masami isn't even a woman, but this man's actions are meant to pick women up? He couldn't understand, not even himself, either.

Nevertheless, Masami sat down when he was asked to, and the service in this tavern was swift. Blink once, and there were already snacks to eat, and liquid to drink. However, that liquid is not something Masami liked—his guild master may, perhaps, but Masami had been awful enemies with the scent of beer and alcohol. Thus, when the man in front of him started to drink from his mug, Masami slightly turned away, trying not to become rude as to pinch his own nose to reduce the scent. If Masami ever decides to stand up, he'd get picked up by that group of men over to the side, and Masami would greatly prefer 'hanging out' with someone who looks a lot more... cleaner? Was that the word? Masami didn't want to judge others' looks enough as he was already being forced to, but that was just the start of this meeting.

Some might call this a 'dinner date' except Masami utterly did not know what to say, so it was more like a 'parental meeting' rather than a friendly 'date' for Masami to even comprehend. He was having the same anxiety as sitting quietly in front of his eldest sibling due to low grades, something of the sort. Masami squirmed his legs under the table, lightly picking up the chopsticks as if he was hesitating, then ventured the tips of the wooden sticks unto a bowl of rice. 'Ah, I had always cooked my own food...' Masami thought, slightly pouting over the thought. Everything was being so sudden that he had no time to prepare for his appetite and... why would he be so confident as to eat out with a man who's so willing in using his own Jewels to purchase another stranger's meal?

Masami started to fear that this man would leave Masami to pay if ever the dinner was finished. It wasn't exactly a problem for Masami – food here is cheap but delicate, and Masami had never worried about money due to his assured thrifty attitude, so he was always sure that he'd be able to pay any sort of debt but... if he was left here to pay, that would be rude. There was no way he could trust this stranger, at all. "I an underage. I cannot drink." Masami sincerely looked at the man, almost as if glaring, before a piece of rice entered his mouth. "Your name?" right after, the chopsticks he held pointed at the stranger, almost saying that Masami was willing to poke someone's eyes if they were not being honest. Masami tried to avoid any sort of rudeness, even slightly, however.

Fujaku smiled as he finished the beer and it was soon filled up. Soon enough the table was full with food and drink besides booze. The young man ate and fujaku smiled. He reached over and grabbed the bottle of specialty fizzy water. He poured it politely. Even if he was a murderous monster, he was going to keep his manners at the table, and a Proper Joyan man never let his dinner partner pour their own drink.

"Need not worry boy, I'm not trying to use you. Or hurt you in some way. I can understand the hesitation. But I can assure you on this night my intentions are pure, and just as I told you. I am tired of false Joyans and bandits. You however have a kind heart, and a good smart set of eyes."

He grabbed his own chopsticks and with practiced skill he ate from the various plates, adding items to his rice bowl. He didnt force the boy to talk, but he was also curious. see how he handled the silence.

He smiled after washing it down.

"The food here is the closet to my home as I have found. It is like being in my Clans dining hall..." he smiled and laughed.

"My name is Fujaku Nijiiro. The last surviving member of the Nijiiro Clan."

Where was it written, where con men use flattery to get their way? Masami silently took a sip on a glass of water, making sure that it was just water – the boy didn't want to get himself accidentally drunken. Now that this man, named Fujaku Nijiiro (if it even was his real name, thought Masami), assured Masami that he had no evil intentions, the boy didn't know whether he would be up for believing that or not. He looked away with the glass of water near his lips, muttering: "Kita Masami."

Unfortunately, Masami didn't belong to any clan, nor does he even know if he was into any clan in the first place. He only knew his direct family, nothing else, nor was he taught to know his clan and respect his ancestor's graves. Apparently, the table they were using for tonight's dinner is larger than the rest of the tables. Looks like this Fujaku guy is more than a weird con man suddenly picking kids up off of the street... unless this guy didn't think Masami was a kid. After all, kids aren't supposed to be allowed in Caberet Crescent, more if they are on to Crimson Quarter, but Masami would never venture there alone, especially in this form. "False Joyans and bandits, huh..." he repeated the thought, using his chopsticks to pick more rice up, "but I wonder where you have been? Why did you leave Joya?" Now that the two have exchanged names, it won't be a problem to share each other's information, right? Masami usually wasn't the type to ask first, but we guess changes happen overtime.

Fujakus smile was small. As if remembering a sweet memory when Masami asked him why he left.

"I left... because my Clan was once the most powerful clan int he criminal underworld of Joya. However, my father thankfully was moving the family in more peaceful way...he never let me see the harsher things the family needed to do."

He ate some more food and drank some more booze. But he wasnt any drunker yet. A high tolerance.

"My family had 4 Vassal clans that served us. They were loyal, and had been from the very beginning of our clans agreement. But the leader of the rebellion... he thought it was his clans turn to rule."

Fujaku paused again and smiled weakly.

"Long story short, I buried my family and weak my fathers kimono as a reminded of where I came from." He reached up amd removed the top of his kimono, his one arm was pale white, almost like white clay, but it was skin and flesh. Tracing from his face around his eyes and down his neck and onto his chest were several lightning shaped scars.

"They did this to me. As punishment for denying them my fear." This was a lie, but a lie that fit well. "I refused surrender my family's blade... it was all I had left besides my fathers kimono when they found me."

He lifted the broken sheath on a string and showed it to Masami. "They shattered the blade, and splintered the sheath. But they could not crush my spirit." He smiled and set it back on his hip.

Masami
As a fellow Joyan, Masami was convinced, but not enough to regain his appetite. He may have to simply ask for a take-out, would have been a waste if they left all the food here. To Masami, it didn't matter whether people's tales were a lie, but he had found no reason for the man to lie for Masami (unless that is, if Masami's intuition is correct and that Fujaku is no good man), thus he remained calm while the clan boy told his story. He even showed Masami his scars, which gave the boy second-handed embarrassment for showing it not only to Masami, but also to other people. Seeing scars, especially if they were hidden, always gives Masami some freedom of speaking, as if he deserved to learn such private information. It made him feel nice as a child, at least.

Similar to Fujaku, Masami also had almost the same marks, except they were red marks from paint in previous theatric shows. Masami was not willing to show it, however. To Masami, that sounded like a generic Joyan tale, used for theatric shows, and the underground business also seemed pretty normal for him. "Looks like some aesthetic." said Masami before taking the bowl of rice for him to dwell into once more. Masami had never witnessed any sort of mafia, yakuza or clan business, thus he didn't completely understand. If he were to be questioned about the court, that's where the show would start.

"Are you trying to turn yourself in? For telling me about criminals." Masami, now that he was in Fiore, is in a Light Guild. His mark used to be on his left cheek, however it started to hide itself by being placed on Masami's lower back instead. Masami couldn't exactly remember when that happened, but it would be better people did not immediately assume one's guild status, too. In short, Masami was trying to say that he is in a noble group. If anyone deserved going to jail, then they shall, except Masami was usually loose on criminals and would rather go on a hidden, vigilante route under a mask instead. However, since he had knowledge about what reputation feels like, getting more of them here in Fiore is no problem. "You seem awfully open about telling me these things, too. In exchange, what is it that you want to know about me?" as if asking for a trade (albeit, he was), Masami calmly asked – he looked at Fujaku directly into the eyes while continuing his drink from a glass of water.

Fujaku finished his drink and nearly choked when the boy implied if he was trying to get arrested. He laughed heartedly.

"Oh no! No trouble for me friend. A one armed criminal isnt a very good criminal."he looked down at the food and smiled softly. "I've come to accept that I'll never have vengeance. And that my clan will die when I die, erased from history by those we once trusted t protect us."

He smiled softly, almost as if the words had actually touched his heart a bit. Had he come to terms with that? He wasnt quite sure.

"No, sadly I have no reason to hide my past. Because I must wear it every day on my skin." He returned his gaze to the boy. "I dont want anything from you, besides perhaps to teach you a valuable life lesson. While loyalty may mean they follow you, friendship is what happens when the people who care the most about your true safety walk side by side with you. Take that lesson to your heart and to your grave." He smiled happily. "As my father used to say, the size of a mans funeral party, was worth more then any treasury or armory."

Masami
Although Masami shrugged, he was convinced. 'Still pretty shady, though.' finally, Masami raised a hand to signal over the tavern's waitress. "Some sake here, please." he raised his voice for her to hear, then the boy was given a thumbs up after. In this place, nobody cares if you're drinking as an underage. They work for the money, they need the money, and Masami exactly understood this. At least, fermented rice is better than what you call "beer for men," even if sake won't exactly make Masami a man. He had only drank once with his uncle and his older brother, then nothing came up after. Sake is alright... right? Masami wasn't going to do anything stupid if he gets drunk, right? Right?

No, Masami wasn't nervous. It was just his narrator getting nervous about the things he was about to do, but let's get that out of the scene. Fujaku had earned Masami's respect, thus his reasoning behind ordering a bottle of sake. Sooner or later, a bottle of sake and two sakazuki cups for the pair. Unbottling the cup on his own, Masami could at least handle the scent of sake compared to the rest of alcoholic beverages. "What are your plans after this, Fujaku-senpai (* senior, upperclassman)?" Masami innocently asked, pouring the drink over one cup, enough to fill it. He pointed the bottle towards Fujaku, indirectly asking if he'd like Masami to pour him a cup as well.

Fujaku Nijiiro
Fujaku remained silent ad the young man ordered the sake. He wondered if the boy knew the homelands traditions, but even if he wasnt educated in it. He was a natural in most of the simple interactions. An ideal template to turn into a proper joyan lad.

But when he tried to pour the sake, Fujaku kindly stopped him with his hand.

"Forgive me. But this is... yes while this drink like this is respectful, I have done nothing to earn the title that comes with it." He gently took the sake and had it returned, having not let him pour his first cup.

"Sake like that... is meant to be shared by those who see themselves as blood brothers. Who have earned the honor by saving and fighting for each other." He had the waitress bring a weak beer, something that wouldnt get you drunk, but wasnt clean either.

He then took the bottle, and poured it for Masami. He gave him just a small amount for him to try.

"Nornally, a junior would not allow a senior to pour his own drink. It is respectful to pour the eldest in the groups drinks first. But I am a ronin, my dishonor and low status will never leave me. And in so, I am beholden to pour your drink for you.

Not out of anger, or self loathing. But because it is the price I must pay for letting my lord and father die before I did, and not doing the honorable thing of killing myself."

He let that sink in. He wanted the words to leave a mark on the boy... Fujaku had no honor left to lose, so he could act in any way he wished. But this boy... he was kind, yet cautious. He could tell he worked hard and knew how to take care of himself.

He did not want him to forsake his honor like he had.

Masami
Masami, now watching the man named "Fujaku" pour beer for him, had felt awfully inclined to forcing his respect upon his upperclassman. He had been taught to be the one pouring the drink for being younger, and it did not matter if he was in a higher-ranking than the others, thus Masami didn't feel grateful for having his senior pour him a drink... especially if it's beer instead of sake, weak beer is still beer, nevertheless. Thus, Masami placed a palm in front of him and smiled, a more sinister and angry aura than earlier. "No." he answered, pouring the beer from the cup back into its' bottle. "I will drink sake. I will pour this for you. You will drink with me." while saying these, Masami had already poured sake into both sakazuki cups, placing them away from Fujaku so that he may not stop Masami from pouring them.

"I do not care if you are a ronin. You will drink with me, you will drink for me, my senior." he held one cup with a hand, and the other pointed towards Fujaku, as if ordering him to drink by force. In all honesty, Masami did not care about whatever honor this Fujaku had as long as he can respect him for being older, and Masami was well-aware of this sort of pride that embellishes him. Like a normal Joyan, this instinct (and value) is taught to him, by his own family, and if he cannot apply these values normally, then he will apply them by force.

Fujaku was quiet. He did not dare refuse now. Not for tradition... but because he felt the same aura his father gave when he was angry. He paused, then laughed out loud and with a happy truth to its tones.

"Your Pride has out beat mine, yes. I shall drink with you, and for you."

He took the cup and respectfully drank along side Masaki. He set the plate down and smirked. "To think one day I'd end up made to drink by my Junior... a funny life one lives when you have no honor I must say. You are a kind soul Masami. That is jot something I say easily and without meaning. In fact, I would say had you been born in the homeland... you would be the shotguns child for how respectful and proper you are."

He ate a few more bites and paused. "Masami, as your Senior, it is my place to educate you. Ask me anything you wish to know of Joya. And I will answer without lie. Even if doing so would bring more shame on myself then before." He waited for the young man to ask, if anything. He was thankful to Masami. For letting him keep a small part of his honor.

'Success!' thought Masami, raising the sakazuki cup before sipping everything from it, all at once. Masami's eyes squinted due to the flavor, being unused to the drink, but this was more preferable rather than beer. "Shogun's son?" asked Masami, exchanging the cup to drink water afterwards, "That is silly-sounding. I am just a mere performer." then, he chuckled.

Although he was just a mere performer, he was the Joyan theater's prince, which explains his noble characteristics. Apart from that, his ill mother taught him to act noble, because it is also respectable and just. Masami has never actually seen anyone, of the same age, who acted disrespectful to their elders. Although many of those teenagers circulate Fiore nowadays, Masami has never actually recognized them as being 'equals'. "Thank you," said Masami, pouring more sake into its' cup before he would take another bite off of the bowl of food, "I was taught to become respectful. I am glad that my senior recognizes that part of I." Then, Masami also poured for Fujaku.

He let the man speak while munching on rice, no longer as warm as it was earlier, along with what seemed to be chicken meat soaked in sweet sauce. Masami had always thought that his mother's cooking is the best—above all else, but he would have to admit that this tavern's cooking has been satisfactory. Masami decided to think of a question to ask for his senior, despite knowing his lack of skill in asking questions. He wouldn't want this chance to go to waste.

"Well..." Masami thought, waiting for himself to finish chewing before speaking, "where exactly were you in Joya? I have never been into the darker, deeper areas of it." It was because Masami had been working in the upper, more shallow sections of Joya, which was why he bared no knowledge regards what had been happening around crime lords, etcetera. Although a little too straightforward, Masami dared to ask such a sensitive question: "Did you have a good life there?"

Fujaku smiled softly as the boy spoke. It was so nice to hear his home tongue from someone who actually learned it from proper Joyans.

Fujaku finished off the bowl he had made and he drank the sake that his junior poured for him. He took a moment and paused as he thought of what to tell him.

"My family ruled a small island to the south of Joyan, it was just large enough to be a forward base. Given my families history of helping the shogun, we were allowed to keep our... less honorable dealings.

But despite the criminal starts of my family. My father and grandfather before him had begun to change the guild. Wanting to be honorable instead of powerful. But that didnt mean we went without.

You could easily call my upbringing a royal level. My clan was powerful after all. My father taught me how to be a man who loved by the honor of the sword... he died by that honor."

He paused again and looked at Masami. "Masami...Do not mistake agreeable words for loyalty. I should have seen past their lies in my fathers courtroom. I should have saw their dishonor for what it was..."

"I'm sorry... but I do not think I can answer that question... I would not call my life good or bad. Just... a life."

So this stranger knew what it felt to rule over something, too. Masami was in-charge of many things, but he was also blamed for the same amount of things. He was aware of how responsibility is equal with the many things you rule over, which was why no one is willing to rule the world – to many things to manage, too many things to be blamed for. "I see." replied Masami instead after listening to everything Fujaku needed to say, continuing his drink from a cup of sake. "A guild, huh? I did not know that those were famous in Joya, for a Joyan myself." mentioned Masami, his cheeks starting to flush a red hue. He has only ever learned of what guilds are when he finally left Joya, usually they were just clans and yakuza groups but... guilds? They were a thing in Joya? They usually have only ever relied on weapons and armor, that was odd.

For Masami, he knew that he had completely understood Fujaku. Masami could be very cynical (as proven earlier), so it was a very easy task for him to speculate whether a person is truly good or not. Until now, he was still unsure whether Fujaku Nijiiro is a good man, even if he had already mentioned or told tales about himself. He seemed to be proud of being accompanied by Masami, however, and it was enough for him to let Fujaku pass without a complete answer to Masami's question, thus he asked another: "How many Joyans have you met so far? You kept saying that you were pleased to be communicating with an 'honest' Joyan, like me, as you mentioned." now, it was starting to sound like an interview session.

He took more sips from the sakazuki cup, filling both cups with sake whenever Masami notices that it was empty. "Aye, that seems reasonable for me. Life is unpredictable; even I could not tell whether I have led a good life or not." then, he completely drank the sake, forgetting that he was in a public place to drink as much. "I guess it's up to the kami-sama (God) whether we'd have a good one or not."

Fujaku Nijiiro
Fujaku nodded as his partner drank. He drank as well in respect as he listened to every word. He finished off his bowl, the table was finally starting to look spare in food. Fujaku looked at Masami and smiled. "Your young. And youths often get disrespected as not knowing anything. But you are an honorable man. Despite your youth, the world could benefit from hearing you speak."

He did the honors and poured the last drink for them both. He then poured a third cup, and set it to the side along with a small portion of food that had not been eaten and set aside for this purpose. He gently clapped his hands together and spoke in Joyan.

"Thank you for the meal, it was quite a feast. Let the gods deceive the essence of these offerings." He then stood and handed Masami the plate and Saki and spoke in more Joyan. "Place the contents in the fire." He would point at the small alter in the far corner of the room. His own cheeks were flushed red, but Fujaku never forgot to give thanks. "When you do, say what I said at the beginning. 'Thank you for the meal, it was quite a feast.' "

Masami
Masami, whose cheeks were already flushed in a very red color, had begun to feel his body more heated compared to earlier. He was getting random urges and impulses; while he was still in control, he carefully received the sakazuki cup filled with sake with both palms, drank half of it, then placed it down – his forehead lay on top of an arm, no more energy to lift himsef up nor respond to his upperclassman's words. He could still hear everyone's words (better hearing compared to earlier, actually) but for some reason, he was unable to say anything.

His lips felt numb, 'Ah, I must be drunk.' thought Masami, swinging his legs and scratching the ground using his toes, trying to get a hold of reality. It was like this before, too, and he had learned that he shouldn't fall asleep in this state. Everyone looked at their table and murmured behind the backs of both Masami and Fujaku, thinking of what they would do, and what they would steal if ever. Despite these, it is still safer in the Caberet Crescent compared to the Crimson Quarters, so they didn't have much to worry about.

Masami's fingers still held onto the wine cup tightly, even if Masami himself couldn't feel the texture of the cup himself anymore. Trying to speak, he groaned instead.

Fujaku Nijiiro
Fujaku smiled and laughed. Completing the prayer himself he would find a bad sight as he returned. 3 men had surrounded Masami and were debating what to do with him. Only for Fujaku to jump and slam one of the men by his head into the table behind them.

The bar grew silent as a few more stood up. They looked like common thugs, but in a world of magic that wasnt worth anything. He got between the drunken Masami and the thugs. His eyes were like a guard dogs fierce and eager to attack.

The one he slammed into the table didnt get back up. He was out cold but that still left Fujaku with 8 other people to deal with. He took a measure of the room. And looked at the 2 thugs left from te original group of 3. He spoke if Joyan, knowing they would understand him.

"You will watch your next movements. Thugs like you will know there place." He raised his arm up and called upon his magic. He pulled a sword of light from the magic circle and stared the thugs down. "I will not let any harm come to my junior, so if you act to.cause harm I will take limbs from you."

Masami
As if waking up from a deep sleep due to massive noises, Masami's temper was rising, apparently he was becoming more unreasonable the more time he spends in a drunken state. He was hearing exaggerated noises in the background: loud fist fighting, shouting, breaking of glasses—Masami knew that they were panicking and for some reason, it was getting on his nerves. Before Fujaku could even charge in with an attack after finishing a sentence, Masami had already stood up from his seat, a hand raised up with balls of fire surrounding him. Surely, they know who he is, right?

The boy couldn't even see properly; he wasn't meant to attack them, but he ended up doing so when he... sneezed. It was just once, but the balls of fire had already charged forward – most of the people in that single direction dodged his attack, however the unlucky fellas may have to call for their paladins.

"Man, you guys really have'ta pick on kids?!" Masami uttered in an angry, childish tone of voice. He was more amusing-looking rather than appearing genuinely angry, apparently he was looking like he was throwing a tantrum, rather. His cheeks were flushed in a red hue; Masami stepped forward with the intent of protecting Fujaku despite their age and experience gap. That was his intention, at least.

Fujaku Nijiiro
The fight was one. The thugs that attacked did so as a group, the average citizen who was in there fled looking for police. Fujaku kicked one of the thugs in the face, blocking the attack of a sword with his magic blade. He blocked it, but the blade popped. In response Fujaku slammed his palm into an upper cut on the mans chin knocking him out and taking his sword. Sliding past a dagger thrust, Fujaku cut the mans back deeply sending him to the ground as his feet skated along the floor with ease. He dodged the following blows with the skill that only a practiced swords man could have.

He would make sure that if Masami was about to be hurt to kick or push him out of the way if need be. He wouldnt let his junior get hurt by some damn thugs. Soon there was a pause. As the thugs regathered their thinking for round too.

"I would suggest you leave... I've already taken one life tonight, I will add more to that number if need be. Now leave, or I swear by all the Kami in this land I will kill you where you stand."

Masami
While everything was in a catastrophe and Fujaku was out fighting the bad guys, Masami was there, trying to fixate his eyes on a stable vision. He didn't know what came to him, but when someone tried to approach him for a punch, Masami's body immediately reacted by evading the attack and blowing through his pinky finger (which then cast a fire spell) to counter it. Afterwards, Masami's body stumbled, and he rubbed his eyes while moving in a direction that he wasn't exactly aware off. While he was at this state, people tried to catch up on him from his back, but those who tried to do so seemed to fall on their own and attack their own comrades. Talk about luck, huh?

Eventually, he found his way back to Fujaku, who had just finished stating such a cool line. Masami had bumped into him, which caused him to stop rubbing his eyes, then realizing that it was a person he knows. Masami let his head lay on Fujaku's back, muttering: "Fujaku-senpai..." before falling into sleep. The people who were beaten up seemed to have fallen asleep, too, or at least unconscious, if that was the case. Looks like it all ended how it should be.
