It seemed that Rania still wasn’t quite done with Marigold yet. She had made plans to leave previously, but the woman simply hadn’t gotten to them yet. It was as though there was always something left to do in this pesky town and after being here for so long, she had really grown to like it here. And maybe she had even grown a bit attached to it. Rania really felt for the people who lived here and struggled to rebuild their lives after the demonic incursion. It was honestly a respectable thing that they were trying so hard and regardless of what her plans were, her personal plans at least, Rania wanted to help them as much as possible. It was the least she could do after they had been so friendly with her and had shown so much hospitality towards the young Paladin.

Not only had they immediately offered her a job at the hospital, but outside of that she had also received many quests for help, for all of which she had been paid a fair sum of jewels. It was a good deal honestly and even though you would think that there wasn’t much to do in a small town like this, it quickly became clear to Rania that there was always a shit ton of things to do here. She was basically never running out of tasks at this point and while she liked it, it was also exhausting. Of course she had already made other plans to leave soon and planned on traveling to far away lands, but perhaps there was something else she could do for the people here first. As per usual, the theatre still needed maintenance. There were a lot of things wrong with it, they were still rebuilding and practicing new stage plays.

Rania had helped them with many things before, but of course there was always something left to do. She recalled all her tasks eventually. Some of them had been as simple as teaching the actors a choreography for one of the stage plays - that one definitely had been the most fun and the easiest for her. She was a natural dancer after all. Other tasks had been more mediocre. On some days she had helped painting the stage backgrounds and whatnot and on most days she had simply served as the local healer. Rania was used to being the local nurse so she was just wandering around the place and looking for workers who needed help with her ailments, to make sure that the building progress went by smooth and quickly. It was quite the efficient way and having a healer on the set helped a lot, from what she had gathered.

She didn’t know what her tasks would be for today, but it was probably time to check it out. Rania had been out for a bit during the morning, to check out a few shops and say goodbye before she left for good. She was also enjoying breakfast at one of her favourite bakeries, which was really nice. Now however she was in the mood to make some money. And she was also in the need for it because travels always cost money, and Rania had been doing some serious shopping while she was here. She had bought a lot of things that she believed were “necessary” for a mage. Such as a grand mages robes, a staff, some magically enchanted earrings and of course this beautiful solar circlet of hers that was more decoration than anything at the moment, but would certainly prove to be useful when used in the right situations. Because of that it would be a good choice to make some money first.

When Rania arrived at the Marigold theatre, she immediately approached the manager, who was doing all the planning and managing around here, since the reconstruction had started. It was a man in his mid 40s, he was often very stressed but clearly a lover of arts and very friendly. Rania liked him, even though he could get angry easily and often yelled. In the end, he was only trying his best with everything and she could respect that. Rania approached him and greeted him with a smile. She told him that she was looking for some work and asked if he had something for her to do for the day. Much to her delight, he did. It was a different job from what she had been doing previously and it sounded quite interesting. He needed her to order more materials for the builders.

Apparently the builders who were on the scene knew exactly what they needed to finish rebuilding the Marigold theatre, and Rania had to collect the notes from them and then go to a shop that was on the edge of town. That particular shop was a lumber shop that would then either do the lumbering from their own private mill or order something from a nearby city if they needed materials that they couldn’t provide. This was an easy task so Rania was immediately on her way. First she went around the building side to ask the different workers there what exactly they needed and how much. She made a list of all the items and the quantities and went around to make sure that nothing was forgotten! Easy enough, she thought to herself.

Then, Rania went to the edge of the town where the shop was. The shop owner was already expecting someone to show up, so this made everything very much easier. Rania introduced herself, because the owner seemed surprise that Rania herself had shown up and not the manager or a worker, but things worked out either way. Rania gave him her list and he took notice and in return gave her a bill which she had to forward to the manager. And Rania did just that! She returned to the theatre, forwarded the bill to the manager and was awarded some money for her work.
