Word around the city was there was some unrest going on from the visitors and merchants of the city of Era. He was once again sent to deal with such trivial matters in hopes of keeping order in the city. If he knew he'd do so many peacekeeping jobs, Shichiro would have just stayed a freelancer. Alas, here he was doing just the thing he hated to do which was socialize with random people. Originally, he heard another knight has been tasked with this but they were caught up in the fun activities over in Magnolia. Admittedly he was quite jealous and hoped he would be able to take on some wanted criminals himself. Well, he assumed in order to prove himself, he had to be capable of dealing with small tasks like this. Heading towards the gate, Shichiro placed his hands into his pockets before deciding to look round at the people coming in through the main gate. He began to scan for visitors that look relatively unhappy or perturbed in groups smaller than three or smaller. anything larger than that and he couldn't bring himself to handle it properly. He asked about three or four newcomer groups what they had experienced while passing through the gates. Ech situation was different but the thing they all had in common was the fact they had precious items 'confiscated' despite never hearing anything about said items being illegal. This also had rubbed Shichiro the wrong way as he's never heard items being confiscated at the gates without return. There was normally procedure to this and he aimed to find out what was going on. Arriving at the main gate, Shichiro witnessed the gate guards with their scam in action. As they were about to take said items from a merchant, Shichiro stepped in and demanded them to return it. He wasn't sure what was going here but he knew it was fishy and didn't like it. In the end, Shichiro had rearranged for the guards to be reassigned and have a couple of Rune Knights be stationed here at all times in order to monitor the situation.
