A local detective had requested her help and Jolyne Atreides was eager to be doing some actual work after her time stuck in Magnolia, little did she know that it would be more of the same entitled maid service these nobles and rich delighted in forcing upon others so much. The Lich had grown sour to such activities in life, so seeing them so often now in undeath and in service to a guild that was supposed to help the weak, it made her sick. So while she currently had high hopes and spirits, the reality of the situation would take that away from her soon enough. Stepping up the concrete steps into the building where she would find the detectives' office the Plant Mage did not expect she would be going there to clean. Instead she assumed that he needed some form of protection or another set of eyes to assist him, and that assumption would end up crushing her naivety about how Fairy Tale was being used as a guild. As she ascended the stairs, the woman's head was filled with thoughts of what possible mystery there was to untangle instead of the reality of untangling a mess of paperwork and other materials left by a scattered mind. Arriving at the door the Lich would knock three times before waiting thirty seconds and repeating. After the third series of knocks she simply opened up the door and was greeted by a room that looked like it belonged to a hoarder. The level of clutter contained within the area was too much to take in at once, so Jolyne did not notice the sleeping detective at his desk at first. Once she did however it took a couple mentions of his name with escalating volume until the man finally woke up. The glee having simmered from the Lich by the state of the room had grown more grim when Weirdlock explained she was to clean up after him. Once more it was someone with money skirting by paying an actual person to do labor and utilizing lower level Mages to instead. So it was with a heavy heart that the woman set about her task like a maid while the man promptly fell back asleep at his desk. Hard at work at the case indeed it seemed, so hard that rather get proper sleep he would rather go back to napping at a sitting position. While she went through the material in the room as she was sorting and cleaning she would come across the case in question that seemed to involve rival gangs. Now that would truly be something of interest to her to check out, and something that would prove useful. Ultimately if her quests had involved serving at bread lines or in hospitals she would be much more eager to do menial work, as it fell however she simply saw it as contacting outside labor to prevent long term benefits being applied. It tasted most sour to the Lich.
