For days she had been crying uncontrollably, her emotional state practically in shambles. The intense feeling of loss driving her into a depressive state that drove her into seclusion. She missed Odin, wanted to go see him, but she had heard that he had gone. The Rune Knights think he died or perhaps escaped, and she couldn't think of what could have happened to him either. Once again she was alone. Sure she had just reunited with a family she had never known but to feel even a fraction of what she felt for Odin was going to take a lot of time with them. She knew she had to start over in her new life but she was hesitant. Looking out of the window from her Rune Knight appointed quarters, the young woman wiped her eyes of the tears that seem to fall endlessly. She knew she couldn't stay holed up here like this without giving a good reason, she had to go out and do her job or risk being let go from the Rune Knights. Throwing the covers off of her body and dragging herself from her bed, Hitomi walked over to her mirror to get a good look at what she had become. Her pale skin looked sickly, her hair was a frizzy mess, and the bags under her eyes were showing too clearly. All this moping around, she knew what was going to happen to Odin and she knew she needed to get over it. Taking on last long look in the mirror she frowned, turned away, and headed off into the shower. Today was a new day and she needed to get ready for it.

It had taken Hitomi two hours to get cleaned, dressed, eaten some food, and tidy her room up to perfection. Throughout it all the things that bogged her mind down melted away and a realization came over her. With all the time she spent thinking about Odin she could instead keep herself preoccupied with literally doing her job as a Rune Knight and getting to know her fellow Rune Knights in turn. She had a new family and a whole world of culture and traditions to learn. She was to busy worrying about what was and not enough time thinking about what could be and the things she could shape and change going forward. Having this realization she went out to learn Shichiro was with a small group of Rune Knights in Orchidia. Shichiro was part of a bigger reason that she turned over a new leaf so she decided to find and meet up with him and introduce herself to the other Knights he was with. Perhaps she could make some new friends with them and grow stronger alongside them as well. With a current goal in mind, she packed a few essentials and headed out of era and on towards Orchidia. It was a long and tiring trip especially since she didn't stop for rest at all while traveling in West Fiore.
