Brone Heavyaxe was excited for this day. He had received word that Kaito had arrived and will be meeting him at the training dome, so he quickly bathed and donned his full gear before the sun officially risen. A quick look in the mirror and the dwarf was off to the dome. He was interested in sparring with Kaito for quite some time now, especially since the day they had fought side by side against a mighty dragon. He sent out a message to Kaito, asking to visit the north and have a sparring match with him upon arrival. Brone couldn't keep his excitement to himself; passerby guild members noticed the running dwarf and his big grin, some had wondered if he had a big breakfast; hearing those words reminded him that he had not eaten, so he quickly redirected himself to the kitchen for a bite to eat.

After a hefty meal, Brone jogged to the training dome. As he reached the center, he burped and patted his stomach through the golden armor, "Now the day is starting nicely" he said to himself as he looked through the large windows to view the morning sunlight. Oh how he has battled and practiced and trained within the dome so many times, and now he will get to meet with a good friend on the same battlefield. He began to wonder how it will turn out; he was sure it would be difficult to catch the mage, given his magical ability, but he was also sure it would be an enjoyable time.

"Kaito!" He threw his head back and cried out as loud as he could, "I await your arrival!" his voice echoed throughout the empty dome and traveled to the neighboring buildings.

"Shut up, Brone! It's too early in the morning!" an irritated voice shouted back from one of the dormitories.

Brone at the Ready:

Kaito had received a message from Brone who he sees as a friend, He wanted to spar and he bets that the dwarf is giddy as anything  that he had taken him up on the honor and since he came earlier than he had planned he ended up going and visiting his brother and his sister in law who was expecting him as he was the opposite of her husband that was late for everything and always running around to get places. She treats him to some tea and breakfast and she giggles speaking of her husband being asleep and his niece and nephew are cuddled to him asleep as well, seems the trio had tried to stay up unlike their mother that had slept so she would be up. He smiles and he eats the breakfast and Revy did her best to not cause any trouble as she ate as well and the woman looked to her and giggled telling her no need to act like she is unwelcome she is family  as well.

Kaito is excited to do this as this is the first time someone other then his brother had asked him to spar with them, he knows that the dwarf is gonna be a hard person to fight but as he wants this to be a good spar he is not gonna use his magic he is gonna take his time and enjoy this fight with the dwarf just fighter on fighter unless the dwarf gets too carried away and forces him to have to phase an attack so not to get murdered by the dwarf on accident. He hears the dwarves voice ring out and he laughs looking to his sister in law. "Seems that is my cue Holly have a good one and pass on my well wishes to Emil, Fang and Mercy when they wake." The woman nods and Kaito heads out the door and to the training dome and he walks in and looks to the dwarf with a smile on his face.

"Seems you are in high spirits today Mr. Brone." He laughs softly and Revy jumps down running off to the stands and she opens her bag and Kaito is clad in his gear and his shield on his left arm and his sword in his right hand. As his gear appeared on him it released an aura that would cause the dwarf to feel weaker, sluggish, less healthy, less sturdy and a bit more dim.

Kaito spread:

Brone turned about the moment he heard someone enter. He smiled as he spotted Kaito beginning to approach, already clad in full armor, "I see much as changed since we last met, let alone since we first met" the dwarf laughed. Not only did the gear look new, but so did the look on Kaito's face; aged in experience. This enticed the dwarf even more. He wanted to know what the dragon slayer was capable off. Suddenly, a shield appeared in one hand and a sword in the other; the magical affect of Kaito's spacial magic that Brone was somewhat familiar with, though he still doesn't understand how it works, but regardless, he planned on meeting him head-on.

"Don't hold back, Kaito-lad" Brone drew his axes and readied himself. Suddenly, a wave of weakness overcame him; was it something he ate, or was Kaito's being was radiating enough to be intimidating. Brone had a feeling it was the latter; maybe it was his presence or magic, regardless, the dwarf kept his smile as he released his own aura from his helmet. An aura of cold released, making Kaito feel slower.

"Let's go!" Brone yelled as he ran forward. As he neared his friend, he would use his golden axe to swipe at his midsection while readying his green axe to deflect attack if need be. He didn't know what he would expect with this tactical being of red fiery hair, but the best way to start a fight would be to rush in head-on, as he always started.

Brone Spread:

He hears the dwarf loud and clear and not wanting to disrespect or insult him will do just that give him all he bodily can. Respecting the dwarf's call for him to go all out he runs toward the dwarf as he transforms his eyes going glowing red and his flesh being covered in scales of gray making him look more dragon in nature and growing a meter in size, he is surrounded in a glowing red aura that seems to really get across how serious he is going. Kaito feels the nip of the cold that Brone's helmet is giving off slowing his body a bit and he swings his sword to meet with the dwarf's axe, he knows this is gonna be one hell of a clash if it is to make contact with it as his sword would turn to fire to counter the frost element of the axe.

He moves to jump back about 5 meters after the clash in fear the second axe will come crashing down on him as the clash with the golden axe ends and starts to run in a clock wise way to stay light on his feet and moving. Kaito knowing he is slower for the time being he knows to get caught flat footed or stagnant vs Brone here would be like him signing a death warrant on his life. Kaito knows he has to respect the dwarf as he is far more battle hardened than Kaito is who usually just relays on his magic to make his fights easier as he could weave himself in and out of this dimension to dodge attacks and give himself the upper hand but today he was here for a man to man spar so he wasn't gonna use his magic just his might and his natural transforming abilities.

Brone witnessed Kaito changed as he did back when they fought the god-like dragon that entered their world. The gray scales covered him and the red piercing eyes were intimidating, but the dwarf pushed forward, making sure he didn't hesitate. As they closed the gap between one another, Brone noticed Kaito's blade became engulfed in flames which surprised him entirely; he remembered the blade didn't have such a magic. When the blade cut the lightning dragon, the blade range in the air and Brone could hear the Stone crying out in victory, so he figured the sword had an earth elemental enchantment, maybe it was a different sword from before.

It was too late to redirect the axe as the blades were already clashing. As they clashed, the force of the two caused frozen air and steam to whip about them, a loud crack rang out from the golden axe. Brone quickly raised his green axe to protect his body but Kaito had already leaped backwards. With the distance gained, the dwarf can think about what just happened. The strength behind the strike was great to the point it nearly brought him down to his knees and with the fire, it burned through the frost magic that enchanted the golden axe, though the weapon was still intact, it was heavily damaged, bits of frozen air lingered. Already Brone had made mistakes; thinking Kaito's blade was enchanted with earth magic and believing the spacial magic would be his form of combat. This Kaito was different, the combat style was completely different during the fight with the dragon. Looking at the red piercing eyes of the dragon slayer made the dwarf wonder what has changed since that day.

Brone face went stern. He needed to be careful at this point; he had nearly lost one of his axe, he couldn't risk another clash like that. He then raised his green axe in the air and swung it downward, activating Cold King's Edict, a gust of cold air erupted from the dwarf, the floor within the 50 meter radius lightly iced over, any besides Brone would feel the increased slow. Every move now counted and he needed to be sure to be aware of his entire surrounding, even though Kaito had a new fighting style, it didn't mean he had lost his ability to appear where ever he wanted. The moment Kaito vanishes, Brone would have to retaliate immediately. He then raised his golden axe into the air while having his green axe positioned to be ready to deflect an incoming attack... and he waited; his golden axe in the air didn't signal a surrender, he simply waited for the next move.

The weapons clashed and he could hear Brone's axe creak in pain from his sword and might hitting it Kaito swore it was gonna snap but it hadn't it had held strong in the face of the strike. Kaito was surprised that Brone's axe hadn't broken from the force of that hit he had gotten, Kaito's moved back and running, the man and his weapons seemed to be far more sturdy than he had given them credit for. Kaito was excited a smile runs across his face then he saw the dwarf bring down the green axe, Kaito readied himself to jump or dodge if this motion sent out a shockwave at him and then ice that had seemed to have come from under Brone's very feet from doing that movement and Kaito feels his movement had been hindered further once again like the air around him had started to cling to his body and cause ice to slightly layer onto his skin over the scales. Brone was making this fight a better one than he had faced when he had gathered the last rune. Kaito needed to come up with a plan of attack for this man as his plan A of breaking the man's golden axe in one swing didn't fully fail as it looked close to breaking but he needs to show he isn't just a one trick pony with his magic and that is it.

Kaito kept his movement going looking for an opening where he doesn't end up on the end of an axe and then he thinks he sees an opening to go for the mans helmet from the dwarf's side that he is holding his golden axe on which Kaito would think would be the mans weak side as he is either going to defend with the axe Kaito breaking it or Kaito would have a chance to maybe get a good hit on his helmet. Kaito puts his foot down while rotating his body to keep his momentum to head straight in on Brone with his sword at around the mans helmet level as he aimed to break it and not take off Brone's head with his attack. Kaito's ring on his hand glows red a magic circle appears on Kaito's body and his body is catapulted at Brone in an instant to try and strike at the helm of the man so he can regain his speed so once he falls out of the transformations he will not be hindered too badly in his movements from the frost magic that the man was using.

If the strike hits Brone's helmet or axe Kaito's sword will once again change to the element of fire vs it's ice element. Kaito hadn't thought past this part of getting in so he was gonna have to try and read the dwarf's movements and react from there to try and not get himself cut up by the mans axes or a stone hardened fist to his guts.

Brone watched as Kaito ran about the battlefield, a tactic the dwarf knew well and had watched Yuurei perform it several times; the dragon slayer was looking for an opening to strike at and from Brone's own battle experience, he figured the two best spots one would strike at would be his blind spot which would be directly behind him and to right side since his golden axe was already badly damaged; normally Yuurei would focus on the same damaged item until shattered. The dwarf kept these ideas in his mind as he watched Kaito running about. The moment he would see a magic circle appear, he would be sure that Kaito would possibly use some form of spacial magic, but he couldn't discard the possibility he may use an offensive spell.

Kaito then made his next move; the moment a red magic appeared, Brone readied himself and gripped his weapons' handles tightly. Kaito was launched towards him as Brone bellowed a loud warcry, a cold aura enveloped the dwarf, increasing his strength as he began to bring his axe downward. When Kaito finally closed the gap between them, he swung his blade which emitted fire once more, but instead of Brone intercepting the fiery blade with his axe, he allowed it to move passed the axe and it struck the blue helmet, slicing through one of the horns and cutting a slice into the helm itself; all the while, Brone took this chance to bring the golden axe down upon the shoulder that held the fiery blade. Hit for hit, a tactic he learned when fighting Yuurei, when there was a chance the opponent was too fast for him, Brone would allow the foe to land a hit upon him while taking the chance to strike at the opponent at the exact same time, giving no chance for either attack to be deflected.

But that wasn't the only thing, Brone moved his green axe to strike at Kaito's other side, but he was sure it would probably be blocked because that side held a shield, either way, it was a double strike, something had to hit.

Kaito heard the war cry and was not sure what to make of it and he smiled as he had done it he had slashed something off of the Helmet thinking it is broken but the icy feeling he had still lingered on his skin meaning he hadn't broken it just harmed it decently. In that instant he felt the golden axe of the man hit him in the shoulder of his armor the impact nearly buckled him at the knees as Kaito hadn't been expecting the blow so quickly to his stopping. Brone was a sturdy and crafty man indeed and he sees from the side of his vision the dwarf starting to swing from the man's shield side with the green axe and Kaito moves his shield to meet it in a clash hoping that it is strong enough to take the blow from the axe while giving a little damage in return to it.

Kaito knows he has to move but his body is starting to fully feel the strain of the transformations on it and he knows that he is gonna have to end this fast or his body is probably gonna give out on him, Kaito moves back from Brone again getting back into his running form plan. He is gonna have to look for another opening even though his armor had taken the blow from that axe his shoulder still groaned at him for being dumb enough to have stopped long enough to get himself hit like that. He had to admit sparring was a bit more fun than he had thought he might have to look into doing it more often after today, but probably not with Brone for a little bit so he can get better at fighting and next time can probably have a better time and show Brone a better time.

He either has to let Brone make the next move or he is gonna have to use his training to his advantage and start being more swift on his feet and more acrobatic against the man swinging axe's at him, making himself a bit harder to hit, but he is unsure how well his body will hold up during this all as it is starting to feel heavy and tired from the strain of the transformations on it but for now these are his only choices bar a new enlightenment hit him with inspiration to use.

The fury of the dwarf was radiating, his warcry gave him strength and his muscles bulged with cyan colored energy that emitted. The axe bit into Kaito's own golden armor, cracking the shoulder guard, but the raging dwarf didn't stop there, he swung his green axe which was met by the dragon slayer's shield. As the weapon met the defense, the sound of metal clashing rang in the air, overtaking the dwarf's yell. The axe didn't break through, not a surprise to the dwarven fighter who was well experienced with fighting against shield back in his deals in the mountains.

What did surprise the dwarf though was Kaito jumping back to gain distance before commencing his plan from before, running around the perimeter, circling Brone, possibly looking for an opening. Brone exhaled a cyan colored stream of breath, representing the ending of his spell. The spell that was held within Beowulf's axe was indeed powerful, but it burned through a good amount of Brone magical energy, so he couldn't maintain it for long.

For a moment, the dwarf had noticed Kaito breathing nearly as heavy as he was; Brone had never thought about it before, but now he questioned whether or not the transformation the dragon slayer was maintaining was having a similar effect on his magical energy. Even after the recent experience with magical weapons, he was still not knowledgeable enough to understand most magic that wasn't of his own gear, so the form Kaito showed and what magic he wielded was a mystery to the dwarf.

Brone adjusted his grip on his golden axe, he took a quick peak at his weapon to quickly examine the cracks along the blade. Fighting that flaming blade was risky, so he needed to play his next few moves well. He then adjusted his grip on his green blade and looked at that weapon next, a crack with a number of chips along the edge, but nothing more. The shield was sturdy, possibly the most sturdiest defensive gears he's seen, for his increased strength didn't shatter it. Kaito ran along in a circle, continuing to look for an opening and Brone had his eyes follow him. The next move was his for the dwarf didn't have the speed to catch him, he would have to wait until the dragon slayer closed the distance.

"Ye have shown me yer prowess, friend, and I'm honored" Brone finally brought back his smile.

As Kaito keeps his momentum running as hard as his slightly iced body can carry him he realizes that his shield had been broken it is laying at Brones feet in two pieces Kaito hadn't even noticed it had happened it was that clean of a cut and his ring had taken a bit of damage from under it. It would seem that Brone had struck the first blow in breaking something of the other. Kaito knows he is gonna have to make it count when he runs in next and not miss or waste even a movement he had a plan and he was gonna enact his plan and hopefully not end up on the wrong end of the stick or in this case the wrong end of an axe. He was gonna have to hope that lady luck was on his side as this move was probably gonna end up as a risky gambit if he misses the moment or miscalculates even in the slightest movement in his plan.

He looks to the dwarf and once he is on the side of the dwarf with the green axe he does just as he did last time he puts his foot down rotating his body keeping his momentum, this time he doesn't use the rings dash spell just runs in on the dwarf making a feint raising his sword like he was gonna take a swing or strike from high to low at the dwarf's green axe, Kaito hoped that Brone would take the bait and swing his green axe at him and springs off the ground bringing his sword close to his body to maximize his bodies rotation showing off his more acrobatic talents he learned from training with elves, Kaito attempts a graceful front flip over the dwarf hopefully not getting struck by the green axe of the man and he starts his swing at the mans golden axe as he would cross over the dwarf's head if the sword comes in contact with the axe it will turn to flame again.

Kaito landing on his feet hoping that he had made a firm enough contact with the mans golden axe in that flip to break it and make this fight a bit more manageable. He is breathing heavily as he is nearing his limits he thinks after this he is probably only gonna have enough gas for one or two more attacks and he is gonna be completely spent, this dwarf is the real deal no doubt about it and this has also been a learning experience for him as well as this is really the first time he has sparred someone other than his master.

The dwarf continued to stand, watching Kaito circle around him at great speed; even though he was use to dealing with the tactic from previous fight encounters, this time he was truly on his toes, possibly even nervous, but he wasn't sure until he noticed his right hand was trembling; but why? The only sense that Brone could make was that Kaito was still full of mystery even though he had shown so much of his abilities. Every time the dwarf caught sight of those red blazing eyes, he could hear his own breathing and was more aware of his hand shaking. This aura that Kaito emitted was powerful and pressed heavy upon the dwarf, like a sickness that couldn't be easily fought.

This was all too familiar, like a mixture of fighting Yuurei when the elf entered his angelic form and the lightning dragon, that imposing aura that made children fear dragons in the first place. Just looking at the draconic body was a bit of a struggle and it was only Brone's own dwarven battle harden experience that kept him from giving into his fear. With all that acknowledged, the dwarf knew that the dragon slayer still had his 'Here and There' magic that he had yet to use; anything could happen. A bead of sweat rolled down the side of his face.

Kaito finally made his next move and quickly dashed for Brone's left side, so the dwarf quickly braced himself, gritting his teeth and tightening the grip on his axes. As the dragon slayer came into melee range, Brone was mindful of the oppose blade and was waiting for it to ignite again, but it didn't seem to as the gap between to closed, regardless, he needed to meet the sword head-on, so he raised the green axe up to counter strike, but Kaito jumped above him, something he didn't expect given that he was trying to be prepared for anything. As he looked above him, the sword finally roared with fire as he swung. Brone had assumed Kaito was going for the helmet again, but no, the blade struck the golden axe and like before, steam and water vapor exploded as a loud sound rang throughout the battlefield. Brone blinked and found his golden axe was shattered into many pieces, golden flecks flew everywhere.

"Withering me down, Kaito?" Brone gave a soft chuckle as he released the handle that once belonged to the golden axe, it hit the floor along with the other pieces of itself. He began to wonder if Kaito was intending to strike at different parts of his body to continue to destroy his gear, hoping to strip him of all his equipment. The next item would either be the helmet because it was already damaged, or the green axe because it was Brone's remaining weapon.

The dwarf had to be quick and had to react. Even though Kaito lost his shield, Brone lost a chance to counter because he wasn't expecting such a strike, a slight redirection. Both of his hands now gripped the handle of his green axe. He exhaled frozen air. Now he ran forward, intending to be on the offensive, though he knew well that despite of the icy aura that seems to affect Kaito, the dragon slayer was still too fast, but he still moved in.

If Brone manages to close the distance between him and Kaito, he would strike at Kaito's midsection.

Kaito's body as he landed felt like it was warning him that he was going to get torn apart if he keeps this up for much longer as every joint and fiber of his body was on fire like it was warning him that it was going to just flat give out on him. Kaito looked back to the dwarf with his right side facing the dwarf as he hears the dwarf quip at him with a small laugh and Kaito was glad that he is making this enjoyable for the dwarf as the dwarf was doing the same for him he also saw the golden flecks in the air it almost seemed beautiful to him in a more morbid of ways. He wasn't sure if it was from the flecks seeming to shimmer in the early morning sun that was starting to poke it's head in or if it was from the destruction he knew he had just caused. "Couldn't let you be the only one breaking things!"

He laughed softly and readies himself as he sees the dwarf coming in on him he catches his breath that had nearly gotten away from him from the pain that was coursing through his over worked body, he aims to clash with the dwarves' axe with his sword. He knows this is gonna be a now or never sort of thing, so he slightly raised his left hand that is in a fist the ring on his hand glowing, a grey magic circle appeared under his feet and a grey shield surrounded him with the symbol for protection in the elven tongue on it, he is at the edge of it as he casted it for the purpose to use as a slight hinderance to slow and slightly reduce the damage his sword will take. He times his sword slash for when the dwarves' axe should make contact with the shield breaking the shield and maybe slowing the axes momentum a bit. Kaito also for good measure swung his fist up behind the sword slash in case that it was not enough to break the mighty dwarves' axe cause he knew this was the last attack he was gonna be able to throw in this form.

He knew this was a risky sparring match but he was learning a lot about this man as they clashed and was finding enjoyment in sparring with this man as their moves and clashes had sent echoes through the training hall, he figured they must have on lookers by now but he dared not to look away as this dwarf demanded his full attention and it would be disrespectful and quite reckless to look away from him for even the slightest of seconds cause this man seemed very crafty and resourceful as well as well trained in combat.

Brone didn't expect Kaito to stand his guard, but seeing the dragon slayer meet his gaze instead of running away had warmed his heart, Kaito would have earned the dwarf's respect, that is if the dragon slayer didn't earn it long ago. The dwarf's smile widen as he ran up to his opponent and swung his axe. As the axe and Kaito's blade met, the clash caused the sound of metal ring into the air once more.

The battle of the blades had shattered both weapons into many pieces. Brone wanted to acknowledge how Kaito's blade didn't ignite into fire like it did before, he wanted to acknowledge how amazing the battle was turning about, he wanted to say something, but the fist was a surprised and as he it slammed into the side of the dwarf's helm, it brought him back to the combat. Kaito managed to shatter the cheek area of the blue helmet, revealing Brone's grin.

No weapons left and yet Kaito was pushing forward with just his bare hands, Brone was proud to face such an honorable foe. The dwarf clenched his own fist and swung, aiming for Kaito's own cheek, if the dragon slayer was still on his feet, Brone would swing his other fist at Kaito's body. This would be Brone's first battle where he was reduced to just his fists, an achievement in the dwarven book.

Battle Log:

The second after he landed the punch on Brone's helmet his transformations gave out, the faint aura that surrounded him disappeared his eyes stopped glowing red and the scales on his skin disappeared and he shrunk back to his normal size, the changes had taken him off guard and he ate the punch to his face and the one to what little bit was left of his armor that shatters at the mans punch. Kaito takes a fighting stance and he returns the favor again with the dwarf another punch to the helm and then the other to the mans body armor, this fight was at a special turn of events cause now it was a game of who can hit the most and how hard with their fists. This is gonna be a durability testing fight and he was unsure which one of them would come out on top but it was probably gonna be a close finish.

His body is aching and he is breathing heavily this has been a straight up fight from start to finish and this dwarf hasn't really seemed to have missed a step in this whole fight almost like Kaito had been dancing in the dwarves palm to the beat the dwarf had chosen.

Brone was surprised to see Kaito reverting back to normal, the scales vanished and even his piercing eyes were gone. For a moment the dwarf thought maybe the fight was over, he didn't want to risk hurting his friend any further...

That is until Kaito slammed a fist into the forehead region of the blue helm, shattering it finally, it's pieces fall away from Brone's head, as they hit the ground, the cold air lifts and warmth returns to the training dome. Another punch came in, slamming into the dwarf's golden armor. The moment the punch would connect, Face of the Mountain's Biteback ability would cause recoil damage to Kaito's fist.

Those two shots knocked sense back into Brone, reminding him that this sparring match wasn't some run-of-the-mill training session, this was an honorable battle until one of them fell, and he damn well intended on making sure that he retained honor for both himself and his trusted friend. He clenched his fists, feeling exhaustion starting to take affect, the lack of mana within his body reminded him the length of this battle.

He threw a punch with his right fist, trying to go for body shots; after, he would throw his left fist, going for Kaito's chest. Both fighters were pushing to keep on their toes.

His eyes had started to get a bit hazy and unfocused as his body had been pushed to very near it's limits from this fight and using the transformations for longer then he had ever had to before, against the man that stood tall and strong in front of him he was glad that he had been able to finally break that blasted icy helmet of the other man then he feels the two body blows the dwarf had in store for him, so he knows this fight isn't over and Kaito throws two more quick punches himself into the mans body armor even through he had felt the bite back of punching it hit the ring on his left hand. He was out of options and he was gonna make sure that this fight was one this dwarf would remember for a long time, even if he loses he is gonna lose with honor to this man that had asked him out this fine morning.

Brone's arms were feeling heavy as if he was still swinging his axes, but he held up his fists like a boxer, using all his strength to remain standing. Kaito delivered two punches to the golden armor; the dwarf noticed the ring on Kait's finger cracked a bit. At this point, tactics and strategy seem to be out the window for the two fighters. They wanted to keep on their feet as long as possible, the sweat that ran down Brone's face was proof he has indeed been pushed. The golden armor then crumbled and fell away, revealing Brone's linen shirt that was drenched in sweat as the only thing that was protecting his chest.

Kaito was happy that he had finally cracked the armor the dwarf was wearing, he smiled faintly as he felt the bite back of the armor hit himself and the ring as he feels the dwarves fist break his belt then the fists of the dwarf sink themselves into his body, Kaito nearly lost his breath and his balance but his feet stayed true to their placement. Kaito is at his limits these next few attacks are gonna be what counts for these two men and Kaito was gonna give it his all. "You aren't so soft yourself friend, you are built like an ox and the stamina of a Clydesdale work horse." He laughed softly as he caught his heavy breaths and he lets two more punches loose on the dwarf's body as this was probably the most excitement he is gonna get for awhile and this has come down to a very close battle.

The two were withering away one another's armor and gear, and yet they stood standing, boxing one another, throwing punch after punch. But as straining as this battle was, the dwarf couldn't help but laugh, Kaito compliment really got to him, "So says ye, a dragon slayer who is built like a dragon himself".

Kaito's first punch landed upon the dwarf's chest which nearly knocked the wind out of him; Brone confirmed that these fists were not that of a normal mage, his strength rivaled that of a grown dwarf. The second hit was coming in and Brone needed to make sure it didn't land in the same spot, so he moved himself just enough so that right shoulder would take the hit; still having the strength of before, clearly going to leave a bruise.

Brone returned the attack back to sender by sending two more punches to Kaito's way.

Kaito could feel his hands had made firm contact and then he hears the dwarf speak to him, Kaito is slightly rocking on his feet a little as he takes another blow from the dwarf and he could feel his ribs creak from the first punch's impact and his body then feels the second punch lands and Kaito is looking like he is about to pass out then he throws the first of his punches at Brone again to try and end this with the last of his strength with one last one, two combo to bring this home, as he throws his second punch his body falters and he loses his balance as he throws the second punch so it goes wide of it's target with no real chance to hit them. Kaito is going to be left wide open as he tries to regain his balance and not just fall over on to the floor of the training room.

Back and forth, back and forth, the two fighters, wielder of blades and wielder of magics, reduced to a bare hands, what they have been given upon birth. Two friends who had fought along side one another against great foes faced one another, each baring bruises, blood and sweat, and yet their smiles showed their respect for one another.

Kaito threw a punch, and Brone tried to dodge, but only managed to redirect the attack upon his head, the blow shook him and the training dome nearly spun, but he regained his focus. Kaito then threw another punch, and the dwarf managed to avoid the wide throw. As the dragon slayer seem to have lost balance, Brone then threw another two punch combo, aiming for Kaito's body as before. The dwarf wasn't sure how long he was able to last, for each hit Kaito threw reminded him of nearly every time a dragon had dealt a strong blow.

Kaito felt his second punch miss hitting nothing but the air as he stumbled then he feels it, two punches from the dwarf's big strong manly hands against his chest and the lights dim as Kaito falls backwards his eyes clouding more as he was about to fall unconscious, he was defeated in this man on man sparring match and as he falls back he smiles as he knows even through he is a mage he stood up to one of the strongest melee fighters that he knows. He knows there was no shame in him losing to Brone, he just hopes that he was able to live up to the dwarf's hopes for this sparring match that Brone had called him here to have.

Revy having read from how he was swaying that Kaito was gonna probably get knocked out had started running out just before the dwarf had hit the second blow on Kaito and as Kaito falls, Revy gets her sack under his head to protect him from further injury and she starts to tend to him and she smiles at Brone. "One hell of a fight you just had there huh? I think he did well for how nervous he was that he would end up disappointing you." She laughed softly as the crowd was on their feet clapping and cheering for Brone their dwarven champion of the north who had fought and stood strong even vs the monstrous power of the dragon slayer as they went hit for hit and every twist and turn in the fight.

As the second punch landed, Kaito's fist unclenched and he fell back. Still in fighting response, Brone didn't register the victory until he blinked the adrenaline from his eyes. He looked down upon Revy who was tending to the unconscious Kaito. What he feline said had touched the dwarf's heart. He wanted to say something in between his pants as he was calming down from his adrenaline rush, but the crowd in the stands had erupted in applause. Brone was surprised that people were present, the battle was so intense, he didn't notice anyone around him save for Kaito.

Brone looked back to Kaito, feeling that the dragon slayer had won much more than the dwarf had this fight. The most valuable would be the dwarf's appreciate and his respect on top of the honor Kaito had brought to himself as well as his guild... Fairy Tail. "I hope they're taking care of ye there, Kaito, my friend" Brone said in between his pants as the pain and exhaustion from the fight began to take it's toll upon him.
