Ready [SL]

Mishiko

Her eyes were closed and she was dreaming about what to do next. She knew she had to go finish business in Joya but when should she? Her Topaz eyes opened as she gazed at the ceiling of white powder. She was unsure what to do as she then twisted her body to look towards her door. She heard shuffling as she slowly got up. No one should be here at the moment as it was just her and her little house. Suza Was with her best friend Akuko. And she didn't have any roommates either, as this was the only bedroom and the whole little house. Her heart was pounding with excitement as she then slowly approached her sight that was against her bed on the floor. She was prepared for anyone who was trying to kill her at this moment. Every little sound alarmed her as her past events made her a light sleeper.

She scoffed at the thought that someone would try to break in to kill her. Her fingers have a free hand that went through her strands of pink hair with the light highlights of black and white as her natural hair color was coming through. She didn't remember White being a part of it. Slowly, she opened the door to see no one there, but then she looked down as her foot went past a piece of paper. It's a piece of paper because her foot touched it and made her look down. It was an envelope that had a stamp made of what seemed like scarlet ink. She picked it up and looked at it, looking at both sides. It didn't seem like anything out of the normal, but then she smelt the letter and could smell the one stent she knew from anywhere. Blood. But why and from who.

She sighed and went back into her room with the letter in her hand, but then she heard someone knock something over outside and looked once more. She went further out to see if anyone was there and finally saw a person in a cloak. That would have been normal for her. But then she looked at the feet area and she noticed that it was foggy and misty just under their feet. Her eyes squinted to get a clearer look. Suddenly, the person turned over to look at her and noticed that it was a woman's face. Her hair was black as coal, and her eyes were shining like a blistering sun of Topaz and had red linings around her pupils. Was she even human? Suddenly she disappeared into the smoke and that was the last time she saw her for now. Finally, she went inside to sit on her chair.

Once she got into her chair, she then finally opened up the letter very carefully. Her eyes scanned the letter as each word was something weird or off-putting. Has read each word for word. Who's talking about how she needs to go back to Joya and search for her? There is something in an unknown city that was known for only for the baddies within this world. That wasn't her actual word, but that was the word that was in Quilla's head at the time. She sighed softly as she read the rest of the letter and was unsure why this woman wanted her to do these tasks. She got up and started to go to her room to pack up some clothes for herself. The woman couldn't wear the same clothes every day. After she got her necessities, she went towards the docks. Hopefully, all of her new crewmates were there.

She went to the bar by the docks as she started to play with their hair nervously. What if this was all a trap? What if everything was just a ruse for her to leave her place? She couldn't have any second thoughts, so she went ahead inside the building and looked around. Freshly lit and talked to the bartender apparently, they were at sitting in the corner. She thanked the bartender and went towards the corner to chat with all the crew members. The last time she went and talked to them, they were just tortured and sitting in the dungeon. They also saw their captain get brutally beaten to death. It cracked Quilla's mentality, but not yet fully. She and softly and stretched before sitting down at the round table. Her eyes looked at all of them, and then her eyes finally stopped at her most trusted crew member.

They looked at each other as if they wanted to say something. Neither of them said a word till someone asked Quilla how she was doing. Didn't know what to say about what all has happened. She started to explain to them that she got a letter from some mysterious woman. Required to go back to Joya after all that has happened and needs to go to a city where there should be no royal guards and no nobility. They looked at each other as if they were questioning whether or not they wanted to go back there. They believed in her and so they started to talk about what they all needed and when they should start. She took out the letter, which also had a map and descriptions of where they needed to go and sail. She pointed out that the trip should take at least a week to get there, if not a little bit longer than two weeks.

They all agreed to it and finally, once they figured out what they all needed, they all got up. Everyone decided to split into groups, including Quilla. With the one person that she felt kind of awkward with at the moment. His eyes were beautiful as ever, as he sometimes cornered his eyes to look at her. The other one that also came with her was also quite attractive in her opinion. She sighed softly and quietly so they did not hear her as they started to travel towards the market. Thankfully, unlike last time, it was daytime, so they could do it right away. Their job was to find the food and drinks. Once they got to the building, she sat down with the business owners and handled over a paper. It was a business proposal that she will pay them after the trip as long as they give them the merchandise.

Every once in a while, she could feel their stares at her and wondered if it was out of judgement or curiosity, perhaps even worry. Her heart felt weak. She hated this heart of hers as she could feel her old feelings of anxiety and attachment. Maybe it was the fact that she found them attractive and also good people. She has been talking with the whole group for about a few months now. Once the business proposals were signed she took the papers and gave them to the shippers who will carry the merchandise to the ship. Thankfully, they still had a ship. It wasn't the greatest ship, but it was enough to get through the tough seas and to the place they need to get,

Everyone seemed to be done with what they needed to get; food, drinks, the regular necessities. Everyone got on the boat and made sure to count everything. Quilla waited at the wheel, leaning against it while watching everyone. Once it was counted, they yelled that the boat was ready and they will finally sail through the seas.
