Today was a good day... She cleared out her job quickly enough, and by the end of the afternoon had already lined her pockets at the expense of a some victims she'd been hired to help shake down. The money fell like ripe fruit after such vigorous shaking, and now here she stood, savouring the fruits of her misdeeds back at the inn. Kanna too felt at ease here, in a city replete with shady people of all shapes and sizes, where nobody asked just where she found her coin so long as she paid for what she ordered. And so here she sat, already past her third beer, the nearly burnt out stub of a cigarette between her fingers, placing some extra jewels on the table for another round of beer with a resonating cling. She picked up her wallet, Kanna's lips all but widened into a shit eating grin, idly musing to herself:
"If this keeps up I ain't gonna wanna leave this city~...", the thought crossed her mind almost reflexively, loving that weighty heft in her wallet as she slipped it back into the pocket of her tight, form fitting jeans.
Now Kanna really wasn't one to get attached, but she had to admit... She was a little lazy. If the going was good and she wasn't in danger, she'd much rather find some place nice and cozy to set up shop for a while. After all, though she may dabble in a little bit of everything, she did her best work when she had a chance to stick around and learn interesting tidbits she could use to extort hapless fat cats. Alas, she hadn't gotten nearly that kinda knowledge yet, but after these past few days taking odd jobs, she was slowly building up a network of connections. She knew about the Dark Guild in the city too, though had been careful not find herself in their corsshairs. As frustrating as it may be, she knew she was nowhere near strong enough to have them an enemy, not with the kind of monsters they had there. If anything, she'd much rather stay in the Guild's good graces for the duration of her stay in Dahlia... Alas, that was neither here nor there. With her rear firmly nestled into the cushy seat, her mug filled to the brim with surprisingly good beer, Kanna had found herself a little lazy slice of paradise:
"Damn, and who might that be...?", it was impossible to miss her, after all that woman stood out like a sore thumb. Starting with her caprine features, far more pronounced than those of the average demi human. Hell, her appearance was almost devilish in a way, leaving Kanna wondering whether the woman was even a demi human at all. In the end, what finally caught her attention were the weapons she set to the side as she sat down to eat. By contrast, Kanna looked completely laid back, if still observant of her surroundings. Clad in a plain orange T-shirt and a tight pair of blue jeans, her arms adorned with tattoos and a couple of bandaids as souvenirs from her last brawl. In the end, she took another chug of her beer, setting it down with a sigh as she put out her cigarette in the nearest ashtray as she spoke up, nodding at the woman's weapons with a knowing smile,
"Rough day, I take it?" Not everyone comes to the table fully armed after all... But in the end, after all this beer, Kanna felt far less reserved than she otherwise would be, and figured she'd much rather make conversation for once.
