It wasn’t the best place to train, but she wanted to avoid other people seeing her botched spell attempts. She knew that she was going to fail a couple of times before successfully casting the Solar Missile Spell, but it still irritating when she was doing this for hours and she’s still failing. She was having an unusually hard time with the spell. It felt demeaning having other people see her fail repeatedly, especially since the higher-ranked knights all ready look down on her. Eventually she just give up and decided it would be better training away from others.
She been studying Sealing Magic spells and melee combat in a nearby library in the nearby city. She made sure to memorize a couple of D-Rank Spells, knowing it was best not to bring the book along with her when she is training and risk destroying it. She was unsure if she misremembered the instructions for the Solar Missile spell though. Every time she cast the spell the created seal always resulted in nothing happening or a stuttering flames that quickly when out.
You idiot it’s not that complex! This shouldn’t be that-
Alisher reconciled from the large flare that came from the seal. She much have put too much fire energy into her seal. A small fire caused by her thoughtless blast had appeared in front of her.
She ran over to the burning patch of grass, quickly stomping it out. She was relieved that they was no one around to witness that.
Just calm down. Look at what happens when you don’t FOCUS. I’m never going to learn anything if I get angry.
Preparing herself to cast another spell, she took a breath and attempting to push out any anger she had out of her. She held her arm out again in the direction of the rock with an open hand. Then touched her open palm with her index fingers concentrating on infusing the seal with the right amount of fire energy. A 1-meter red magic circle appeared under her and a seal with a hook-like symbol appeared on her open palm and sent out a small fire missile. It got smaller that closer it got to her target, but it still hit its target. Seeing the scorch mark on the stone that the missile left made Alisher feel proud. While the spell wasn’t perfect, it was the best attempt she made. She got into position and recast the spell, causing another fiery red magic circle to appear under her and the spell seal the to appear on her open palm. A 0.25 diameter fire missile shoot out of the seal and hit the boulder, leaving a bigger scorch mark on the stone than the last one. Seeing the damage made pride rise inside her.
She recast the spell a couple of times before choosing to take a break for the day. She ran back to headquarters with plans for picking up lunch along the way.
