After she had returned from observing the hidden sanctuary of the Fae with Titania, Esperia had to admit she was considering her choice carefully. It was true: with the help of the Fae she could possibly retire and live a peaceful future with Maple. However, doing so meant leaving the problem of Talaz Lagaar in others' hands. She knew most would be ignorant of the danger the Fractured Sky possessed. Too reliant or obsessed with the power that came from it for them to care about the consequences it had: not just for the island but the whole of Earthland.

Although the prospect of being able to retire to a peaceful sanctuary of her own did sound very appealing. Even as she was lying on her bed, comfortably snuggling Maple, the woman's mind never stopped worrying about the consequences and the problems that might be. Maybe Alisa was right in saying that constantly worrying about things that 'might' or 'might not' happen would shave off years of her life in stress alone.

The thought made her smile weakly as time passed and night turned into morning.

With dawn finally having approached Esperia rose from her bed, trying carefully to untangle without waking the still-sleeping Maple, and descended downstairs. She walked toward the exit, quietly opening the door and closed it behind her, pondering more about the choices she was about to make.

As she walked toward the flower fields near the outskirts of Avalon, Esperia couldn't help but wonder why the legends suggested the Caelum Kings came here to retire from their mortal lives.

As she approached the flower field Esperia spotted a familiar presence floating lightly above the flowers. "Titania?" She inquired, to which the Fae queen turned around to face Esperia, a calm smile on her lips. "Oh? Already up and about?"

Esperia nodded her head lightly, hovering beside the fairy as she looked at the sight of the path leading into Avalon. A thoughtful look lingered on her visage. "Still thinking about our conversation?" To which Esperia answered with a slight nod. "It is not easy to decide where my priorities are. At one side I want to just hide with Maple and ignore the problems of the world, but at the same time, by doing so I will inevitably lead to these problems arriving at my doorstep at some point."

Esperia's words earned a sympathetic smile from the Fairy Queen who turned her gaze toward Avalon. "But if you were to stay here, you wouldn't be alone in defending your home." The idea made sense, the thought of being able to rely on the Fae-folk to protect her new home was certainly reassuring. But would it be enough to prevent another tragedy like the Age of Forget? She doubted it... Heaving a sigh Esperia looked at Avalon and then back to the building where Maple was asleep. Was it fine for her to make such a choice? Was it okay for her to finally be selfish for once?

The Fairy Queen turned her attention toward Esperia and inquired with a smile. "You do know you can't be everywhere, or protect everyone right? Nor do people expect that from you either."
