Kaito had taken a request along with a new member to try and help her to get use to doing requests as she had seemed a bit green and she might need some help getting herself started into the world of questing and with the guilds permission he was able to take her on a bit of a stronger mission than she should be allowed to go on but he had no worries about if she will be okay or not as she would have himself and Revy to help her on the mission. He stepped out of the portal into the dark forest with the exceed and the female guild mate "I got your back don't worry, though I hope you are ready for a decent fight. If you get separated from us don't give up hope okay?" He tries to make himself sound reassuring to the woman as he knows she is probably going to be a bit scared and fighting werewolves and vampires are probably going to be a bit rough for her but this was the request she had chosen so he was going to respect her for her guts.

He got closer to the ground and he looked at the dirt for any kinds of markings or tracks that he can follow to help them see which way the werewolves would be as they want to mostly avoid them and go for the vampires so that they could fetch a better reward in getting the vampires out of the way for the werewolves that are pretty much set up to be hunted for sport by the mages to feed the vampires to keep them out of the city. Kaito had seen many cases that these things had come to pass but he was not okay with it happening as he rather protect those that deserve to be protected.

This was a first of many things for her. Firstly it was her very first quest. Secondly, it was her very first quest with someone. Thirdly, it was her very first time actually leaving Magnolia and seeing another town. She'd be lying if she said that she wouldnt wanna stay and explore this place after the quest. Fourthly, it was her very first.... ok, maybe there wasnt a fourth first. Maybe later tho.

He spoke rather kindly to her saying he has her back. Though he hopes she's ready for a decent fight. Well, she did get into scraps in her rambuctious teenage youth. But she doubted the fights would be anything like catfights and stabbings.... Okay maybe stabbing worthy fight. But nothing really trained aside from frantic chaos. Sally nodded when he told her not to like give up hope. But she would make sure to stay close to her mentor

She watched as he got closer to the ground and he looked at the dirt for any kinds of markings or tracks that he can follow to help them see which way the werewolves would be as they mostly wanted to avoid them and go for the vampires so that they could fetch a better reward in getting the vampires out of the way. Yeah, thats what he was doing. She would look at the tracks all inquisitive and alike to try and learn from him. Though part of her feared she was gonna be a slow learner.

She didnt really speak too much, not yet at least as she didnt want to be a distraction. She was basically still learning a lot of things. And that included like learning peoples personalities and what bothered them and what didnt. Some people were easily distracted. Like her for example. She didnt know if Kaito was like that, but considering he had her with him, she knew he had enough to worry about. The least she could do is not bother him when focusing on a certain task

Kaito can seem to sense that she is tense so he figured that he should say something to her. "You know you can speak to me right? You are seeming very distant Pinkie, you need to let your self feel looser or you might end up stiff when you need to be loose and make a move." Kaito looked at her with a thumbs up to try and encourage her as she seemed to be nervous he had no idea that this was her first request untaken. He swings his arm and his gear appears his sword on his hip his armor on his chest the straw hat on his head, the shield across his back. Revy transforms to he human woman form so that she can help and fight as they need to. He notices that the woman seems to lack a weapon or any armor. "Would you like to borrow my shield or my sword miss so we lower the risk of you getting hurt or turned into a vampire or a werewolf?" Kaito didn't want her to feel like she is unprotected from the dangers that were out here.

He walked closer to the woman so she can see the two items as the one the woman picks not to burrow is going to Revy and Kaito will fight the vampires and werewolves by himself as his belt makes him immune to being scratched or bitten so he is protected from being infected so he was the safest of the three during this mission as he runs no risk of being infected by them. Revy gets close and smiles at her as she would think that the woman would be shocked that the exceed had turned into a female human all of a sudden with really no warning to her before she had done this.

"Im sorry. I just didnt wanna distract you while you were like tracking." she spoke to him about her reason on her silence, though she couldnt help but bashfully alook away to hide a blush, when he looked at her with a thumbs up. She gave him a thumbs up back
"I can get easily distracted myself... thats why" she added when he gave her a boost of confidence with the gesture. Explaining why she would think that way.

She'd then curiously look back at him as he swung his arm and his would gear would appear, ie his sword on his hip, his armor on his chest, the straw hat on his head and the shield across his back. It almost looked like a magical girl transformation if you squint and look at it a certain way as how his gear appeared. She couldnt help but giggle at the thought of that.

Revy transformed into a human woman, which did catch Sal by surprise. She didnt know exceed can do that. Granted she hasnt really spent time with exceeds.

Compared to them she had no special items as she really just started out and living on her own and independently. Like she had a makeshift weapon, but that was poultry to real threats in the world. Kaito asked her would she like to borrow his shield or sword. She smiled and nodded "I wanna try a sword! Best offence is a good defence, right?" she asked.

On the topic of werewolves and vampires "What are vampires like? I never met any of them. I did meet werewolves though. Although not the truly wild ones." though the one she did meet was pretty wild.
Her magic was pretty weak now and she was mostly unarmed, she figured a sword was best option. She was pretty heavily sure Kaito had strong af magic to deal with offence. If she took a shield, she'd be a sitting duck, huddling behind a shield and hoping for a rescue
She smiled to the two as she took the sword. "Ok Im ready"

Kaito looked at the woman as she had said that saying backwards if she was taking the sword but he was not going to correct her and embarrass her, as he needed her to feel confident in herself as she was still new and that sword was the better choice for her as the light will swap from arcane to light for her to hurt the vampires more so in turn making her look stronger. Revy was fine with using the shield to bash the enemies around and help keep the woman safe from the vampires attacks. Kaito smiles and starts leading them to the area the vampires should be. "Wild vampires are slippery as they make no sound and mostly float
they mostly lack scents unless they have blood on them. They will aim to claw you to weaken you then go for your sweet soft neck." He poked gently on the side of her neck with two fingers.

He returned to leading them when he stopped in step then pointed a finger blasting a vampire with a beam of magic that had been coming toward them without moving his head to the side as something was wrong here and this felt like a trap like Kaito had stepped on the big red X on the floor that will send something else into motion and he waved his hand disappearing than reappearing behind the newbie taking a punch at thing air and he hit a vampire out of invisibility. Kaito tapped the side of the newbies head giving her mana vision so she can see the vampires that were hiding around them be for Kaito took off to keep fighting with his bare hands and firing small beams of magic here and there to help knock the vampires out of their invisibility.

Revy stayed close to Sally with the shield and she shield bashed and guarded so the newbie didn't get in over her hand as of this moment this woman with them was like a little sister to her and no one was going to touch or hurt her no matter what they tried. It would be over her dead body would she allow any even speck of hurt come to the woman that was with her. Kaito was handling the bigger vampires while the younger and weaker ones went for the exceed and the newbie woman as they are the easier targets for them to be attacking in the moment. "You hanging in there okay sally?" Revy wanted to ask and make sure that the woman was not feeling over whelmed by the vampires and the pressure that she was with a handsome and very high ranking mage.

She nodded when he spoke how vampires are slippery and slick. She gently jumped when he poked the side of her neck, but giggled a bit and nodded "Got it. Stealthy scentless floaters that go for the neck" she nodded as she understood the jist of it.

She was on the lookout for vampires. Being rather alert. Not like scared or panicky alert, but more like in that cutesy kinda way where you know they're such a beginner. Kaito stopped in his step and so did she. He pointed a finger and blasted the vampire with a magic beam.

The next chain of events though went too fast by to let her feeble little mind process what just happened. All she knew was that a vampire was invisible and Kaito punched it out of invisibility. He then tapped her and gave her Mana Vision which let her see vampires.

She was determined now to charge at the evil vampires, but she didnt go headstrong first. After all, Revy ased her if she was ok. Sally nodded "I am. Lets charge those vamps!" she said as she swung the sword at the vampire that was close by. It was a bit of a clumsy swipe since she never held a sword before, so she was getting a feel of this weapon.
"My spells are too weak for vampires so we can try to tag team them?" she told the exceed and tried to charge into action to attack the evil vampires

Revy looked at her and smirked, and nodded "Of course I will help you but trust in that sword and it will do you right Kaito chose right in it and you in picking to use it." The woman moved with the pink woman and he kept watching her back and shield bashing the creatures as they come and lucky for them the group of them are seeming to be small so there weren't all that many to kill and beat off of them. Revy keeps her eyes on the vampires as they had nearly all been exposed to them and she was not going to take a second of rest as the newbie was seeming to be pouring her heart into this mission and was showing she really had the Fairy Tail spirit that the guild had seemed to be lacking out side of Kaito and Judith.

Kaito had picked up one of the vampires and jumped backwards suplexing the vampire into the ground and Kaito kips back up onto his feet but the vampire stays down and he looked at Sally. "Your form is a bit lacking, you swing the sword not it swing you, try to pivot your foot so you are keeping your weight in the swing and not losing your balance." He was giving her tips as he is grappling with vampires. He wanted to make sure that she was coming to terms with the things she needed to do on quests and not just let herself be jerked along as she is in control of the mission and not the other way around. She needs to control the tempo but be ready in case something changes and she has to match it's tempo for now she seemed to be keeping up with the tempo and she even made sure to make the most of Revy to help her.

Kaito had to wonder though if the guild mother had planned this, for him to come and mentor one of the newer members. She always seemed to be up to things but that was something Kaito had grown use to over the years of being a part of the guild and as he grew to be able to take it all in and all on.

She smiled and nodded. She tried to take Revy's advice and 'trust' the sword. She didnt quite understand what it meant since it was an object. Maybe she needed to belive it was the right object to smite the vampires as Revy said? Ok yeah, she belives that. Belief and trust is the same, right? Right, she'll go along with that narrative.

Sally was on the offensive versus the weaker vampires that were more her level. She was getting the hang of the weapon, but she normally didnt have experience with a sword. Its blade is big. So it took some getting use to. After all a sword and a makeshift knife were completely different in the way you held and used them. Despite the difference merely being the length of the blade.

Revy was there to watch her back in case a creature of the night went for her neck from behind or where she didnt see or sense them. Sally wasnt sure how many of those evil vampires were there, but she believed they might be actually like nearly done with this vampire problem.
Now that she thinks about it, are all vampires evil? And would this count as a vampire nest if they went were there are tons of vampires

Kaito being so cool and handsome and strong, didnt even need to pay attention to the vampire threat that much, because he could deal with this with his eyes closed. So he looked over to Sally and see how she fought against the threat. He noticed the way she handled the blade and instructed her better how to use it. So she took the advice to pivot her foot so she's keeping her weight during the swing. Ok that certainly made like a world of difference
"Thank you Sensei~" she said which was probably to be the first out of many nicknames he'd get

After his tidbit of advice she saw herself handling the creatures of the night much better. Those that were going after her and Revy were like much easier to slice and dice. And Revy being the best tag team support partner was there to watch her back should she mess up or like be in an unfavourable situation. She wasnt sure if swordmanship was her type of combat style. But for this mission she would be willing to adapt

Kaito can see that the work was almost over her as all that was really left was the weak and a few mid level strength vampires. Kaito ran at the mid level ones and he pretty much just had to make a choice here on how he handles this as the two vampires come right at him and he decided to just use a spell and he kicked them both into the air so that they hit in mid air and then he swung his pointed hand and a giant slash of magic flew through the air cutting the two vampires in half and their bodies falling to the ground with wet nearly sickening thud sounds. Kaito hadn't been able to do that before so Kaito looked at his hand and he wondered how he had done that and if that was really something he was proud of doing but for now it was over and done with.

He can hear the werewolves moving toward the nearby area to attack them and he walked over to the other two that should now he done with their fight. "It is time to go guys let's go get paid and then maybe go to the hosenka hot springs." He more wanted to protect the woman from having to hear the screams that would be coming soon from the near by city as they are attack as she is still innocent and pure he was not going to let her hear that at least not yet. He opened the portal and he hurried through it with Revy as Revy kind of got what he was doing, but why shelter her she isn't going to be a newbie for long probably. Revy thinks maybe Kaito really just wants to protect her while he still can from this request at least.

With some swell teamwork between her and Revy, Sally was able to complete her very first mission which was taking out some vampires. She did work up a bit of sweat from this, because this was the most physically taxing thing she ever did. Like gym was nothing compared to real life perils.

She was wondering how gross she might be now. But soon enough she heard the sounds of werewolves. The sound made her freeze and maybe be at awe of those frightening creatures. Part of her hoped it was her former friend who was long gone. But she knew that wouldnt be the case.

Kaito snapped her out of it saying they should go as they can collect their reward now. As well as go to the Hosenka hot springs, which made her all excited and happy and like sparkly eyes "OOo?!? I never went to Hosenka or hot springs!!" she excitedly and joyously said. Tho that wondered if does that mean does she go with him to the hot springs? Who knows. First time for anything

So she watched as he opened the portal and he hurried with her through it. Meanwhile Revy understood what he was doing, but seemingly let it be. Sally meanwhile was just excited for the fun stuff, unaware of a possible disturbing scenario that would happen once they left
