All the training she has already done before had went a long way in helping her learn how to do things fast. To the point frost and dark honestly felt like extension of her. She figure she could practice two spells for the night. The wouldn’t even incur damage so that made them even better. At least she wouldn’t have to hear about the grumblings later on how she was a cold hearted harpy. Not like she minded, she liked the titled acquired.
Raphael begrudgingly lead the charge. The patrol assembled a bit of the way from the guild on the suggestion Lumikki made. She would hate to wake the guild up from her training and get an ear full for it but also she wanted a new space to work in. The training dome felt stuffy sometimes.
She approached the meeting point, but she wanted to make her arrival funny to her. After all they don’t know what to expect nor what was coming. As per usual she didn’t tell them the spells she had in mind that she wanted to practice.
She slipped the Moonlit Veil of her’s, slipping seamlessly into the night around her. She would go unnoticed and unheard from now. Flying on her frost dark wings as she made it for the center of the crowd. Eager to try her new trick. One she was already playing with the idea of since the Joyan war.
She flew just above the men below, keeping them all within the range of her incoming magic. I helped her greatly that they all happened to be muddled together. It would also help her when they tried to run away.
The Daemon now took a moment. Letting the mana flow all around her for the time she was focusing and relaxing. Using the beating of her wings to lol her into a nice zen. The giddy excitement to torment the men below had her to jittery and so she was doing her best to calm it and stone cold herself so she would make a proper assassin. A proper bird of prey in the night. She still couldn’t back her smirk though.
When she was finally just feeling the zen of her mana circulating, letting it now direct to the direction she wanted. All to her throat now. Oooh she couldn’t hold herself back again. She had a big grin again now.
She sucked back as much air as she could in her inhale. Holding however much her little lungs could carry. Letting it mix and churn with her mana. She licked her lips as she let the mix sit. More than eager to let her spell out. Finally she was reaching the point where she was hitting her limits. She let herself fall down somewhat to make sure that they caught the full roar of her howl.
She grinned again before finally pulling her head back. A magical circle formed just before her face. Her voice spilled forth and let out a blood curdling screech. She pushed out all the air and mana she held in her lungs. She felt the powerful reverberations echo in her throat as she let out her howl.
The men below on the other hand did not know what hit them. They were ensnared in the banshee’s screech. Their heads even began to pound as her screech would echo in their minds. She looked down to them after the last of her screech escaped her lips. She observed as they clutched their heads. Trying to center themselves for the disorienting screams. It took a long moment for them to get to moving and reaching. The Daemon waited for a few minutes before they would even begin to steady themselves, of coursed Raphael being one of the first ones. He rose himself the first and looked around. Trying to find her, she assumed. But he gave up quick enough looking over the state of his men. Trying to rally them back up so they could all steady themselves as well.
It was indeed a pitiful sight to see them. Some fell over from the affects of her howl making them lose balance. The ones in the center and closer to her felt it more. Most of the fell were just below her. Raphael on the other hand was toward the end, leading the patrol here after all left him to the side. So perhaps, Lumi wonder, if the attributed for his quicker recovery. That and his desire to spite and face her. It made the Daemon chuckle. She really hopped to break him one day. All his will, all his pride? She hoped that one day she could strip it from him, but for now she wanted to get stronger.
She continued to observe the men below. They clutched their head for some time. Her sight was perfect even in the dark, even in the distance that she was, and she could read them mouthing how they could still hear her wailing. She would keep chuckling to herself as she watched one. Raphael would even yell out to her. Demanding that she would show herself. She would not of course. But she would release her spell to see how they would react before trying it again.
The men below seemed to take a moment to feel the affects of her release. Still hearing her ghastly howling in their heads. Raphael fighting her every step of the way had seemed to even be cleared of it the first. Standing back up in his usual poise and looking around for where she stood. Then after his rallying, the others appeared to be shaking of her howls as well. Though the were still huddled together as they feared what would happen next.
Hoping that the Daemon would not release a full frontal attack now after they has all recovered from her last spell.
Lumi, already doing the process before of feeling her mana circulate did it again. Letting it cycle until she was ready to pour it all back in her throat again. This time it was all quicker than it had been before, the Daemon already getting used to the sensations required to execute her spell.
She let the mana hold once more in her throat, this time for more time and for more mana to reside before breathing in her massive breathe. Letting the two swirl and churn once more before throwing her head back once more and letting out her Ravenous Screech. Her lavender magical appearing just above her head. Transforming her blood curdling screech into the interaction that knocks the intelligence out of her opponents as well. Helping her turn the tides while her foes lack the sense to face her properly and hopefully make the wrong calls in their battles.
