Erebus watches as Techtile is hit by fallout, the damage seeming to cut the transmission between them. The swordsman grew impatient by the speed it was taking— even if he had only moments before tried to guide the morale of his ally, he doesn’t truly know how long he can last— or if any of them will. After all, this monster left him in a situation that harbored much into the insights of what Akudama had been up too.
He was a wanted man in foreign turf. A predicament that would need to be addressed, but not at this stage.
Nonetheless, Erebus would stay the course for now and continue to aide against the demon. He watched as the monster again attacked Noel, seeming to Ere that it didn’t quite fancy the Phantom Lord mage. His communicator now plugged him in with mercenary agents on the ground who would be told: “One of our agents has fallen, send a task force to retrieve them— make it fast as possible.” The rest would be left up to Akudama’s infantry— meaning Erebus needed now only to focus now on the Fox. If he had no choice, he would take Techtile and flee himself…
But for now— perhaps the Sin would be alright, nestled somewhere in the wreckage of the shattered scenery, with their life hopefully in protection of Mishiko’s magic.
Erebus smiled through the anxiety— perhaps he was worried but he was still excited about a succession, even if the Reptile had fallen they didn’t relent, their part in this place cemented by their unmistaken guile.
Techtile was proven to Ere’s eyes, the rest of the details after would be history— perhaps if he were lucky, he’d not see much damage on himself and could paint the Demi-Human as a Hero— or a martyr, if the worst had been done.
Putting himself up to bat, and with an advantage now as the beast had trained its attention on another victim. The Don sought to bag this beast and the rewards that came with it at any cost. Nonetheless, he maintained the Spellpuller in his hands and didn’t charge in after taking it upon himself, instead he’d continue to rely on his Curse’s magic. He would follow through by throwing the shield as said before— only if the action of a spell being charged was seen, if any spells were cast by Kurama— Erebus would force the beast’s power down upon itself— the issue only being that it’s physical damage was just as staggering— and clearly it preferred that means of combat.
Kurama would be catching loose stray arrows from Erebus sounded by a new entrance into the fray. The arrival of an Angel — The Warden — which seemed to prove that Kurama was a might far greater than any had first thought, even by the Don.
This fruit tasted a bitter sour in his mouth, yet still, it was rich.
