Lumikki

The moon was waxing in the sky but not quite half full. She still watched over the night and shone the little light she had, yet it still proved difficulty to see. One cute not pierce the darkness by normal means and all lanterns were hushed sooner than any other night.

Dogs were roaming the streets but they were not strays. They were pets released by their masters so that they make stalk the night. On a vigilant hunt for a particular creature whose blood they could smell in the corners of the humble village.

It would be the that very blood trail that Lumikki followed. A Demoness of Paradise Dawn, hired to take on the beast in the night, but it was no mere creature. No, it was a Demon released in the world as a poor omen. For what ever reason or distain, the fowl was summoned to reck its terror and devour the children of those below. And it would be its very nature, not crimes that would attract Lumikki toward it. Because even if she was no fan in the maiming of children, she cared very little about them as she did amassing more power. And she would hope that by consuming the flesh of this being, it would only grow in grandeur.

Lumikki

The fresh blood trail was not made by any recent wound, but an affliction done to the Jiu Tou Niao long, long ago. Around the time it was still revered as a god until a mythical dog bite and ripped off one of ten heads. The gaping wound still weeps blood and it falls to the ground in poisonous trails. Such leads paired with the sound a of vehicle in a still night is was Lumi pursues for hunt her target. And in preparation of the battle to come, she stalks the skies in her massive raven form. So that when she meets the other avian, the two beasts could collide.

The rustling rumble so soft and unceasing in the air continued to murmur in the air. Like a buzz that grew louder the closer she got. But by then it would not be the sound or the trail of blood she relied on, as the flamed winged bird was already in her sight.

With silent beating wings Lumi seized forward, climbing higher into the sky so she could strike from above. The pair were passed the village now. It would only be them now.

Once Lumikki was content with her height she darted down for the Jiu Tou Niao, with her talons freezing over with black frost to add more potency to her slash.

The wind rippled throughout her feathers as her body plummeted and barely ten seconds later Lumi's talons would contact, slashing another two of the nine remaining heads. The surviving heads shrieked from the pain and surprise. In varying paces, they all looked over at her as she stopped her drop. And the Jiu Tou Niao wasted no time trying to return the attack. with much spite and anger, a flame began seizing within the bird as they prepared for their return, but Lumi didn't simply drop alone.

Hidden in the dark of the night, black frost weapons were also plummeting still and they were now making contact with the monstrous bird. Piercing their flesh and wings so that they could hardly hold flight. The Jiu Tou Niao who was looking down to address Lumi, didn't pay mind to anything else coming from above and the heat that was welling in their chest quickly fizzled out.

" Ye've grown soft! Yer not the only Demon here!" Lumi roared in glee while rushing the Jiu Tou Niao again. Her two talons took in two other necks while her beak clamped down a third. She ripped the flesh and drank the fresh spilling blood, taking in the Demon's waning vitality. Jiu Tou Niao withed in her grip but Lumi didn't loosen a talon, not until she was satisfied to move on.

" Ye Demons need to know ye run a risk coming here. Forget the men or Angels....ye'll find the danger in me!" She twisted them in the air so that the Jiu Tou Niao was beneath her and with her weight, she sent them plummeting.

Lumikki

As the two were crashing down onto the earth. Lumikki's sharp beak kept clipping at the remaining heads, stopping when all that remained was one. Not long after, their body shattered against the ground. Blood was bubbling in its chest but there was still enough air in its lungs to cry and wheeze. And just like she devoured their blood, she drank its sounds of pain.

Lumikki paused her onslaught to watch her foe, revealing in her true nature for a moment longer. She sat there for minutes, giving it the proper time to soak. And when she was ready to finally end it, Lumi slashed its chest one more time and began pulling apart its flesh with her beak so that she could consume her prey. The Jiu Tou Niao was still alive, but the last of its breath would soon leave its body.

Lumi would continue to eat way past her fill. Savoring the meal and the power that washed over her. It would take her a little over a half hour to conclude her meal and by then the curious humans would have arrived. " Fear not....I am the one ye hired....bother me not, I'm almost done. The Jiu Tou Niao will not bother ye any longer. Not unless summoned again."

Her words did not ease their worries and fears though. It only made it bubble more. Did they replace one monster for another? They were not sure. But knowing she was of the guild Paradise Dawn held their hand.

There was hardly anything left of the Jiu Tou Niao when Lumikki finally shifted into a human form. Walking over to the man most dressed up among them. Her face and chest were covered in blood but her beauty still glimmered brightly. " Consider the job done~"
