Wanting to prove herself worthy of this figure, wanting to impress him, she was practically quivering like a coiled spring when their contest resumed, and eager to face what was thrown at her. But even then, she might just have been surprised with what followed.

Let's see what you can really do… By no means lacking for temptation to rush her foe but at the same time the fair fox feeling a genuine sense of curiosity as to how her opponent would use that cumbersome weapon, a moment of clarity between them seemed to invite Jack to take the initiative, and he did so with no small amount of gusto either. Finally seeming to be putting his all into their contest and showing that as he set off with a kick that seemed to create a ripple of air, the violet vision of the vixen widened as he closed the gap between them in what felt like no more than an instant, and all too quickly appeared to be bearing that 'blade' down upon her through that.

Fast! The blue eyed boy starting with a thrust which seems to truly exploit the reach which his weapon would so naturally provide, Anika scarcely had time to roll herself out of the out of the way enough to watch the length of the weapon sail right past in front of her eyes, but even then they both knew that his assault is far from over. In fact, it was only just getting started given the fluidity and flexibility which the man she faced seemed to demonstrate with his mock sword.

But that's not all…! All too quickly it seeming that her faux foe was ready to attack at her again and this time the lad seeming to wheel his own body and place both hands upon the hilt of his oversized weapon, the battling blonde was forced into a backflip to escape the swipe that followed soon after, but in doing so could feel the sheer amount of force with which the weapon seemed to carry all the same.

Good grief, I can only imagine what he can do with something built for real combat…? The lilac eyed lass left to groan as the very air which was displaced by so sizeable and strong a swing seeming to wash across her and leave both her form and her fashion rippling as a result, the combination of such raw physical potential and the deft manner in which its wielder seemed to command it were a deadly combination, and Anika couldn't help but wonder what he might do if he weren't using something built for practice.

Whatever weapon he commanded on the battlefield was likely to be a beast, and she had to guess that she was rather fortunate for the fact he was using something made only for training rather than war. Sufficed to say, even if it did reflect a note of fear or intimidation she would not be in quite so much of a rush to face him in the fields, that was for sure…

Better to not get too distracted, however~? For the moment however the fair femme having more prominent priorities than speculating on what he might swing about in war given the skill which her opponent showed, even with a flipping dodge the fox did not have long before she was on the back foot again as Jack chased her down like a hound, and Miss Adler knew that she would not much chance for reply if all she did was hop about like an hyperactive hare. It's rare that one of my screens feels so risky…! Even then however rarely feeling as if she was less confident in raising her guard than she was now, even as Anika lifted her palm and sprouted another shield to deny the assault of that wickedly weighty weapon she still felt a nugget of doubt that the wall she made would be enough to stop it, and so found herself swallowing a knot in her throat as she did so.

You're one to talk… The lilac eyed lass likely loathed to verbalise how much she appreciated the rugged strength which her foe seemed to exude, not only that but both those sparkling sapphires and his smile certainly seemed to catch her eye as well, though now was not the time to focus on that. Now was the time to prove herself to him. To prove that she was worthy of his attention.

He's not the only one who can get creative with their weaponry! Gripping the shield she had birthed and keeping it in spite the way in which his clubbing strike had seemed to put a split in it, Miss Adler did not let up on the pedal one little bit as she kicked off the ground and called upon more and more of her mana, first to send her shooting toward him with speed to surpass his once more and with it and then curve her path to strike at him behind his guard once more as she had done earlier, with a view to strike at him again…

Jack however proving as keen as ever and learning from the previous incident, this time he seemed ready for her move and ever swift with the cumbersome club in his grip, though this was a fact that the fair femme had accounted for. In some ways, she had even banked upon it, really.
“Hehhh!” Holding onto what was left of her shield for this very reason and using the remains as a sacrifice for her success, she swiped at his weapon knowing all too well that the screen would likely break in her effort, though it would do its job in that as well by acting well enough to deflect and detain his weapon for the next move.

“Hraa!!!” The flaxen fox for the most part favouring an unarmed approach largely because of how she liked the view her whole body as her weapon and exploiting that for what was to follow, with the momentum of her twisting charge still largely behind her the lass lashed with much of it to channel the effect through her hips and down to the tip of her toe as if she were pulling off a pirouette in the air, and swung the result of it at the weapon which he carried…

Unleashing a move that would been beyond reckless against an actual sword but the spirit of competition getting the better of her in the moment, the bespectacled blonde whipped her toe at the club of her challenger in an attempt to finish the job which her shield had seemed to start, and was happy to see that it succeeded in the task as well.

Some combination of kinetic effect and leverage blasting the bamboo 'blade' backward so that it would no longer be much of a factor in what was to follow, at least for a second or two, Miss Adler could not deny the way in which her heart leapt both from that fact and the comment which it seemed to draw from her foe, but tried not to let the excitement which she felt get the better of what she wanted to do next.

“You know it~” Far from finished in her assault after all and not going to all this trouble just for the mere privilege of showing off, the martial minx squeezed her fist tightly and readied it for the off as she shot her own line back to the boy, and for a second thought that she was about to give him another bop on the nose as it were. Though, there was something about the flash of a smile he showed which said otherwise. In a moment like this one, it was not a good sign.

Primed for attack and throwing her fist forward with an almost callous absence of hesitation, despite the way in which Miss Adler was bearing down upon him, it strangely seemed that Jack was not too perturbed by losing his primary form of attack, and instead appeared to flash with excitement in the place of surprise or disappointment.

Jack the lad only too enthusiastically seeming to show that the denial of his weapon was a mere obstacle to overcome as he thrusted forward with his other shoulder to intercept her effort, perhaps the sizeable emphasis which his club had put on proceedings had almost made the blonde forget how good he was even without it, but the warrior was more than happy to remind her as he charged ahead and checked her roughly.

Acting to intercept her assault a mere moment or at most two before her knuckles might have managed to connect with him again, suddenly the blue eyed boy became a battering ram and both the strength of his frame and its sturdiness proved quite a challenge, I can tell you.
“Unf!!!” Throwing her off balance with that blasting tackle and showing just how overextended she was with her manoeuvre, Anika grunted as her body bounced off him and was sent barrelling backward, and in an instant found the tide of the battle turned against her once more.

“Unnnngg…” Rolling over and over more than a few times after that colliding class and left a little woozy by the experience, the world seemed to spin about the lavender eyes of the lass for more than a moment as she came to a halt, though when she was able to make sense of it the sight was not one would immediately welcome. Jack seeming to prove true to his vow and offering up little in the way of quarter, he had quickly swept his weapon back into hand and rushed after her with it raised above his head, and seemed to be thriving on the thrill of the contest just as much as she did.

I won't make it that easy! Pushing out mana as she did so and conjuring yet another barrier with it, perhaps she would be thankful for the strength of reflex and specialisation too as a dome seemed to sprout around her ready to deny any kind of assault upon her person, and with it also stop the charge of her rival as well.

He really doesn't let up, does he…? The blonde belle seeming to react just in time to find her projection in place a moment before the lively lad sent his weapon down upon her, what followed was a crunch which saw the barrier cracking a little at the blow which Jack had given it, but holding true for the moment at least. It only seeming natural by this stage that he would see an obstacle as a mere challenge to be overcome and for that reason the fair femme hardly surprised as he drew backward and seemed to flex his shoulders, the violet vision of the vixen swayed between the boy with the blue eyes and the split he had already put in her guard, and knew what she had to do.

I think… It's wise not to risk this one! Pulling her feet beneath herself as her adversary leapt up from his, there was almost a sense of acrobatic art in the way he looped over himself and then swung his cudgel down upon the dome which might in order circumstances have been worthy of admiration, but in this it only drew a sense of foreboding for Anika and with it feeling of inevitability as well.

Good grief…! Thankful that the ward she had birth proved able enough to delay and detain the stroke just long enough that she was given a chance to roll out the way before it fell upon her as well, all the same Anika couldn't help but gape at the hammer-like blow which he had unleashed, especially when she considers the fact that he seemed to create it with a weapon made merely of bamboo. Even with so pliable a substance it seemed that he was capable of striking with the same force as certain mallet wielding storm gods, eh?

Such a fact only made all the more impressive as Miss Adler recalled how she had polished her defensive arts enough to sustain hits even from firearms should she need to, as such she couldn't help but feel rather amazed by the sheer output her opponent was capable, even if it was a little galling to acknowledge.

Those moments of peace seeming to be unsettling not because of some friction between the pair mind you but rather because both seemed to be itching to carry on with what they had started, despite the feeling of momentary relaxation it appeared that both Miss Adler and Jack were like springs coiled and waiting for action, as if they had stumbled into some manner of calm before a final storm, and it was the latter who seemed to suggest letting that tension loose one last time.
