Although she belonged to a guild, it was her responsibility to keep her pockets filled with coins. Work wasn't always the most exciting thing, but at least this time she wouldn’t be alone to do it this time. A fellow guild member would be joining her on the job, which offered some relief of the workload. Lily had been out of commission for quite a while, and she was behind on the latest news and events that the guild had gone through.
She found herself waiting at the warehouse where she and her partner would pick up fish food to start the job. Humming a soft tune to herself, Lily watched the people passing by, her mind wandering. She wondered about the lives of the people she saw, imagining their stories. As she waited, she couldn’t help but hope that the guildmate joining her would be easygoing and pleasant. Lily wasn’t in the mood for someone high-strung, rude, or worse, someone unwilling to pull their weight on the job.
With a sigh, she looked down at her feet, mentally preparing herself for whatever lay ahead, hoping for a smooth day’s work.
