Drakkon, Hai, and the rest of the group had made their way to the top of the mountain. There they would see the castle that was in front of them. Still, making it to the top wasn’t all that they achieved, no, they were rewarded with some thick air that was causing them to find it hard to breathe.

The devourer had taken this in, and he could feel that this air was affecting his body. He looked over to Hai and it seemed like he was also being bothered by this. That wasn’t good because this was going to bother Carmina as well as the elder.

“Damn why is this happening. They sure know how to make this hard for us. We thank you for bringing us up here, but you should go back to your village. Just enter this rift and you will be back in your village.” He said to the elder as he pulled his Yamato out.

He cut the air and the elder bowed to the three of them and went back home. Drakkon looked back at the castle and shook his head.

“This is going to be tough, so don’t hold back on anything we fight.” He said to the two of them.

It was then he would cough a bit as he didn’t enjoy this at all. He looked at the castle door and it seemed like this was the way they were going to enter.

“Father, we should merge together. This thing is making us weak, so both of us together should be strong enough to fight without this thing bothering us like that.” He said to Drakkon.

The devourer heard him as he had voiced his opinion.

“Alright, then let’s start off that way. We don’t have time to waste here.” He said to him.

Hai roared the moment he was given the green light and the two of them merged together. With the two of them merging now, Drakkon’s wings, tail, horns, and scales had now been revealed to everyone. He felt strong, but at the same time, he felt weak.

“Alright we should be fine Carmina. Let’s enter this thing.” They said to her as they would push the door in front of them.

It had opened without a problem, and within an instant, the three of them would feel the dreadful aura that was just resonating throughout the castle.

Carmina
Carmina looked at the dark air that they seemed to enter and she wondered what this place is as this feeling that she feels through her whole body as if there was a major debuff in the air and she wondered if that is what this was or if there was something that was in the air that was here and she was glad that she didn't heavily relay on hand to hand combat as she was not going to be able to do this that way and this staff for the most part seemed to off set it if she was having her mind effected as well as her physical power and she was not going to hold back or let it slip as she needed to get out of the rut she was in as she needed to make it as far as she could and then get to the other side.

She watched her master and the old man and she wondered what they were going to be able to do here as there was a castle that might be full of monsters and things that would probably want their bodies and to kill them but she knows that she can not allow them to get her body with the power that she held as that would be misused and cause a lot of issues that she was not sure how people would deal with them but there was also a near sick interest she had on what if someone else could use her body better than she could and this power far better than she could but she was going to let it out when she was ready and she needed to see this till the end. She watched as the dragon once again fused with her master and she wondered if maybe she should find a way that she could do that with Rey though she was sure that it would not be a pretty sight unlike how her master bond with his dragon.

Carmina was not worried about her master and she was trying to find what she could do for now as she needed to make sure that she could keep herself safe and the elder safe from the things that were in here and she fired off a few fire balls to get light in the dark areas of the castle area they are in as she needed to make sure that they could see if anything was hidden in the shadowy corners of the place.

When Carmina had lit up the place, it seemed like they didn’t truly enter the castle. No, instead they had entered the castle grounds. It seemed like what he thought was the entrance to the castle was an illusion. Still, how were they going to enter this place? It seemed like it was hard to navigate through this place. It wasn’t just that, but it was hard to see through this place, so he was making sure that he was close to Carmina. He didn’t want her to get lost, and he didn’t want them to separate.

For more insurance, he used his nose to make sure that he didn’t lose her scent of her.

“It seems like this nasty fog made me think we were in the castle itself, but that isn’t the case. Be careful with this thing, you might see things that are not really there.” He said to Carmina.

He moved around the place trying to figure out how they would get into the castle directly. There had to be a way right? Well, while moving through this place, the hair behind Drakkon’s neck spiked up. He chuckled a bit when he felt this because that meant they were not alone and danger was nearby.

“There are a few strong presence around here, so be on your guard. It’s freaking stupid to fight through this fog. I will defend us with armor for the time being. That way you can focus on what you need to do.” He said to Carmina.

It was then that he activated his defense spell. He stepped forward, creating a magic circle under the both of them and they had gotten a dragon armor that would cover their body. They would be able to move without a problem with this armor on. While moving something was rushing toward him. He had taken out his Yamato and his Enma. He knew the danger was coming, but he couldn’t see how close the creature was to him. When it showed up Drakkon was able to block the attack with his Yamato as he looked at the hideous creature that was in front of him.

He didn’t hold back though. He knew this might happen, and he was quick to react. He had swung his Enma from the other side as he had cut the monster without hesitating. In one swing the creature was almost cut in half, and with that, Drakkon shot a blast of fire from his mouth to end the creature’s life. The miasma made him weaker than he was normally even when fuse with Hai.

She had heard what the man had said that the fog might place tricks on her and she coated her staff in fire magic then took a swing at him with it, making sure she wouldn't actually hit him with it more of a mistimed joke she was going to be making. "You mean like you telling them this!?" She knew when missing with the swing that the man that he was real as the fire's light was not going through him. She looked around more using her fire coated staff as a light in the dark as she looked around and she thought that she heard Rey speak but she knew that she had left him behind as she didn't want to risk him to be possessed by the stuff that was going on as stopping a giant monster like him would be hard if he had been controlled but as he was a sacred beast she didn't think he would be so easily controlled but she was more being a worry wart about it.

She made room between herself and the dragon slayer and she took swings of her fire coated staff to scare away the fog a bit by bit as she was not looking to get swallowed by what ever was in the fog that her master was talking about and she knows if she hit something in the fog than she would be able to tell as her staff's light would go out and she would be able to act on it and maybe be able to know in which way they needed to go and she fired off a few more fireballs to land and give off fire for them to see as she was not looking to be cornered or killed if she could defend her self and see that they were coming though what ever was in the fog was for sure keeping itself hidden and she knows that she is only so useful in this kind of situation. She wondered if the fire was keeping the thing in the fog away from her or if it was more going after her master and she kept an eye on the old man so he wasn't take while she was not looking but she needed to make sure that she was able to keep herself and the man safe that way her master would only have to focus on keeping himself and the dragon he was with safe as the dragon was like a part of him from her understanding and that was only a small piece of the puzzle that this guild seemed to have but she had not dove deeper into it if she could help it though she should probably keep digging so maybe she will find out what it had to do with her.

Go D. Drakkon
Drakkon heard the comment she made and rubbed the back of his head as if that were true.

“You aren’t wrong about that. They would probably say something like that just to trick us.” He said to her.

It was then he felt several more Yokais appearing around the area. He couldn’t see them, but he was able to feel their vibrations within the air. This was annoying, it was as if they had landed on their nesting ground. They could keep fighting, but at the same time it was best for them to find a way inside that castle.

“Once we find a way in, we don’t have to fight any more of these things.” He said to Carmina.

He didn’t know the term Yokai, so this was unknown to him. He looked around wondering if they were even going in the right direction. He wasn’t sure, but it was soon after three of them had jumped toward him. Shit, they were fast, or at least these three. He blocked two of their attacks, while the other one slashed into his Dragon Armor.

Drakkon felt the pain with that one as he looked at all three of them. They looked demonic for what he could tell, but he wasn’t too sure. In the end, he wasn’t going to let them live anyways. A push from the swordsman would have them stumbling back. they thought they would be strong enough to take care of this guy, but it seemed like they didn’t know about the people invading their home.

Drakkon cut two of them down, and at the same time, a dragon would come out from Drakkon’s back and hit the Yokai that had landed the hit on him. It was then he moved forward and swung both his blades onto the Yokai now taking him out as well. He cracked his neck looking around, but it was still hard to see.

“These things are annoying. My speed being slower than usual is making it hard for me to dodge these stupid things. Hey Mina have you found a way in yet?” He asked her wondering what she would say.

The two of them kept looking for a window or something, but they wouldn’t be able to spot anything. If he touched anything, he felt like he was touching bricks or metal. The Dragon Slayer was about to blast this entire area away, but he doubted he could.

Still, the numbers of enemies around the area didn’t decrease by much which was a bad thing for the two of them.

Carmina
Carmina heard her master and she then relaxed a bit as she trusts that he will be able to handle himself and then she touched her staff to her head and opened her eyes and she can see in the fog and see the monsters that were in it through her mana vision. She spun the staff in her palm and then she moved the staff casting fire spells that went flying out and into the monsters that were hidden in the fog. "Master are you okay?" She had seen him be attacked by the creatures in the fog that was over them and she was sure he was fine but she needed to ask so she could feel fine in keeping herself and the man safe a bonus to her being able to see in mana vision is that the fog was also some form of man so it helped to outline the building that was near them.

Carmina was trying to see what she could find to maybe see if she could find them a way in and she hoped that she could see something that was going to help them to be lead into the castle though she was not sure that she was going to be able to find it as this place was seeming more and more like it was some form of trap for people that were dumb enough to enter it and she needed to make sure if she can find a way in or find a way out of this place she needed to do this now before she or her master got into deeper trouble from them and she needed to make sure that she could defend the man that is with them and she put a body shield on him which was making it easier for her to see him in the fog that was around them and she tossed out more fire balls at the creatures that were seeming to move in groups as they went around and they looked at her as the spells were chasing after them and they were trying to dodge them and they seemed to be trying to figure out how she knew.

They were starting to turn their attention to her and she was hoping that she can keep herself safe as she made barriers and moved them around and blocked attacks that were coming in on her with a barrier attacked to the end of the staff that she was using and she wondered if she was over doing it or if that was needed but she wasn't going to risk them weakening her any farther.

Go D. Drakkon
Drakkon was looking around, and when he heard Carmina hear him, he was confused. How did she know that he had been hit? He wasn’t sure if she was the real Carmina. It had come from the direction where he had sensed and smelled Carmina last. He kept her pin-pointed, holding a massive focus on her location.

“We’re fine, it was just a little impact, that I figured it would happen since my senses are being affected by the miasma. How were you able to see what happened to me?” He asked her curious to hear what she would say.

Still, if she had the ability to see through this miasma, then she would be able to find them a way into the castle and out of this mess. He would put his trust in her and figured she would be their ticket out of this massive mess. The yokai that were outside of the castle were closing in on Drakkon once again. Carmina didn’t have to protect the elder as he wasn’t with them anymore. Drakkon had sent them away at the beginning with his katana. Whoever she was protecting wasn’t the elder, it was something else.

It was sneaking close to Carmina ready to attack her. Drakkon had felt the presence of five things heading toward him. He sucked his teeth as this was going to be annoying. He couldn’t dodge all of this, so he decided to block their attacks. He activated a spell, this created two wings that had covered him to protect him from every direction. When the Yokais landed their hits on Drakkon, they would notice something stiff and durable was blocking their path from the flesh they were trying to hit.

It was then that he saw that it was his turn to attack. He would sense them backing off him, and his wings would disperse and he would push forward to the first yokai. He swung his blades at the same time on them and in that instance, the Yokai was no more. There were four more of these guys that were around him and he had to continue his onslaught. With the swing done on one yokai, he had pivoted his foot to get close to the second one.

Drakkon had cut down this one, and when he knew that Carmina wasn’t too close to him he would activate his fire spell. This spell used him as an epicenter and a burst of fire would shoot out around him like a volcanic geyser being unleashed from the ground. The Yokais would be hit by the heat they would scream and shout from the pain as they were almost extinguished. He took advantage of this as he cut down one more yokai who was trying to regain their composure. Now that was over with, he would only have to deal with two of them.

He had left finding a way into the castle to Carmina, as he pushed fighting to his main goal at the moment.

"I am using mana vision I got from looking into your past with my special eye with the dimensional dragon slayer Kaito. Most of his spells are too advanced for me to remake but this one helps me see them in the mana that is the fog we are in as I can see their forms." She had no idea that what she was protecting wasn't the real man as the vision still showed her the outline of the man to her. She was not going to be able to do much a she was still pretty in the dark and she then pointed her staff at a different group of the creatures that were messing with them in the mist of the court yard and she hits them and hears whispers on the air and she wondered if that meant that they were dead or if more were close to her but she didn't see them but she started moving quickly and followed the wall and her vision could see the walls as the fog was helping her by making an outline for her of it and then she sees it a bit ahead of them.

She looked back at her master so she could see the way he was facing and she spoke. "Master the way in looks to be straight on your right, it is still a bit ahead of us so make sure you keep your guard up." She threw more fire balls out into the courtyard and kept on her toes as she was not looking to bring down the team and that is when she saw it that some of the creatures had combined into a bigger being that pointed it's hand toward her who threw a fire ball at the creature she was not sure if it was a trick or not but she was going to treat it as if it was real and that it could really hurt her so she was going to do what she can and make the most of it and that was all her master could expect of her but she also knows that she had a lot to prove here as there were a lot of these things in the court yard and they were looking at her since they figured out that she could see them in the fog.

He fire balls seemed to stop the monster from attacking but again she wasn't sure if it was using her like a puppet to an extent but some of the fire balls had seemed to have just passed through the thing she was attacking so she was not expecting a lot of her power but she ran at it as she was going to aim to hit it and do what she could with how much mana she had left in that moment but she needed to hold on till her master could break through his own trial and make it this way toward her and the way she had seen into the castle so they can keep going and she was not sure if she was going to be able to help on the inside but she would do her best.

Go D. Drakkon
Drakkon heard her words and he nodded. It seemed like she had an eye that allowed her to see his past. That was scary, which meant that he should never do anything behind her back because she would know.

“I see, that’s kind of amazing if I say so myself. Does that mean you can see everything that has transpired with me?” He asked curious to hear if that were the case.

Drakkon heard her words and it seemed like she knew where she was going. He hoped this was the real Carmina, or he would be screwed. He moved to his right and kept going in that direction. Of course, he was on guard making sure that he could not be taken by surprise.

The creatures around him were noticing that these two were heading in the right direction. They were confused about how this was possible. They noticed earlier they were lost, but now it seemed like something had changed. That was when two Yokais tried to attack Drakkon, but he intercepted them. He was getting used to fighting blind and he would dodge their attacks and he would cut through them without hesitation. Of course, he used some of his magic to harm them as well. This miasma was making him weaker than normal, which was something he didn’t like.

While this happened he was reaching closer to the door, but the appearance of more Yokai were appearing. They had noticed they were getting close to the castle door. Drakkon also noticed this and he looked over to Carmina.

“We have to enter the castle now, they noticed that you can see where we are going and they are trying to overwhelm us with numbers.” He said to Carmina.

Drakkon would follow Carmina’s words and voice and would enter the castle before the Yokais could reach them, closing the door behind them once the four of them entered.

She heard what the master had asked her and she spoke. "Yes I can see a lot of things." She made sure that she stayed on her toes as she was not looking to get killed and one of her spells broke the Yokai line that had been in the way and that helped her master to get through and she followed right behind him and she hoped that she was going to be able to make it and once they were near the door she heard him speak again to her and she spoke back. "You don't have to tell me twice I wanted us to both to live so I am right behind you." She was staying close behind him and that was easy enough as she was now posting her speed with a self-buff to make sure that she is not shut out from the castle and she hoped that none of them had clung to her as they got in.
