Dominic stood on the edge of a clearing that overlooked the river below. It was peaceful out here with the sun shining down on him, giving him hope and comforted as well as warmth. He took the moment to look down at the golden coin in his hand. An heirloom passed down from his grandmother to his mother and then to him. From what he had learned, it was a token used to pray to the guardian angel that watched over the family. Dominic would catch a glimpse of his grandmother praying with the coin in her hand ever since he was a child. After she had died, he didn't see the coin again until after his mother passed it down onto him.

There was a moment while he was investigating the Orchidia Church, he was in a dire situation, and calling out to his guardian angel, the coin in his hand would vanish in a glowing light and before him stood a radiant guardian to save him. After the being left, his coin was returned.

Dominic held the coin up before him and called out to his guardian angel, standing firm and determined, but... there was no answer, he stood in silence as the wind gently blew. Disappointing, but he figured this would be trickier than he had initially assumed.

Dominic had figured he'd go down the route of healing magic like his grandmother and others in the way of her faith and practice, but looking into the way of Summoning, it seemed he may have more of an affinity to such magic which was possibly why he was able to call out to his guardian angel in such a way. Looking into the archives of the church, he had found a form of magic called "Angel Summoning" but was never cultivated to nothing more than a practice. Because it was treated as some form of Esoteric magic, it was shoved to the back of the library with no actual record of someone performing it, just rumors and mentions. With such a lack of knowledge, Dominic chose to take it up and try his best to learn the practice, hoping it would connect him to his guardian angel.

After taking a deep breath, he decided to try and pray to the guardian angel. He clasped his hands and closed his eyes; his golden coin held between his palms. He thought about the form he saw, visualizing the radiant being. But after several minutes of prayer, he opened his eyes to find just the clearing before him.

Hours passed and the sun glided through the sky. Dominic had tried many things, meditation, prayers, reading through scripture, but nothing came of it. On the grass, he sat and read through the books he collected that spoke of Angel Summoning, but many writings were either vague or theoretical. Though one of the scrolls he collected did have mention of a mage who had summoned angels, stating she had used golden coins as tribute; one passage read that she had used several coins at once to summon forth an archangel. Dominic then fished into his bag to find another golden coin that seem to almost resemble his grandmother's. He had come across this during his visit to the Orchidia Church after having to deal with the investigation. What was odd about it was that he found it in the pew he sat in. He would try to insert it into the donation box, but it would reappear in his hand, so he took it as a sign he should keep it.

A thought came to Dominic's mind, possibly this new coin was given to him by the divine so he could reach out to his angel. He stood up and held both his grandmother's coin and the new coin together in one hand. The sun was dipping over the horizon, coloring the sky and landscape in an reddish orange color as he said a silent prayer, his heart warm and humble as his mind thought about those moments his grandmother would prayer to the angel.

Suddenly there was a radiant light that shined from the coins and they vanished. A golden magic circle appeared on the grass, opening up some form of a portal where warm air wafted and pressed against the grass and Dominic's cloak, flapping with every beat. Out of the circle erected a sword, point downward and the handle to the sky. Soon after that, the being formed from light appeared behind the sword, grasping it's hilt. He was fully clothed and his face covered by a golden helm. His own cape flew in the wind as he presented himself before Dominic.

"What do you need of me, son of Alegra?" his voice echoed with strength and tenderness, hope swelled within the summoner's heart. He was ready to fall to his knees in awe of what he was experiencing, but hearing his grandmother's name snapped him out of it.

"It is an honor to meet you, I am Dominic Luzero" He greeted with a humble bow. His heart hammered at the realization that he was before the angel his grandmother called to so many times before, the one that looked over the family.

"I know who you are, for I have watched over your family at the call of your grandmother and your mother" The angel said, with that, Dominic understood that his own mother still called to the angel in the past, but wasn't sure if she did still to this day.

"I ask of nothing, but to meet the angel who was so kind to us" Dominican lifted his head and looked the angel, trying to see if he could spot the eyes in the dark slit in his helmet.

"Very well, you may call me Amarion" The angel said with a nod before his body faded to light, "You need not summon me to speak, I've heard your voice since you were but a child, but you can summon me when in need" then he was gone and so was the sword.

Dominic stood there in awe for a few minutes before dropping to his knees and cried in joy. His path has just found a golden stone along the way.
