Dominic, Clergy of Light

Dominic had met with Dex Miller at Enil's bar, where he is having a drink. Though the clergyman asked if it was too early for a drink, Dex brushed off the statement saying it was needed given that he was always dealing with odd cases. He would then get straight to the point of why he had requested to meet Dominic, saying that he had seen an odd blue ball of light down by the river during one of his investigations and wasn't sure what it was, only that when he interacted with it, it would make him feel anger or sad. Though Dominic had heard from the locals that Dex was known to be odd and often pretends to be an exaggeration of a noir detective even though he has no credentials in crime-solving, the clergyman figured there was a possibility this story may old some form of truth, especially given that Dex looked pale in the face.

Dex will then start to ramble about how this blue ball might be the culprit to a recent case he had been looking into. Though Dominic doubted there was any such case he was speaking about, he figured he would at least look into this. The two would then leave the bar and start heading towards the river as the run was beginning to set.

Night had fallen by the time the two had reached the river. Dex had led the way to a rocky edge that overlooked the river about ten feet above water. Looking about, it wasn't long before the two of them spotted the blue ball simply moving about some yards away. Dominic was partially surprised to see that the entity was real, but didn't express it. He would carefully walk closer to the ball and tried to observe it as much as could, hoping it wouldn't vanish. Dex, meanwhile, had silently followed the clergyman as they approached.

The blue ball seemed to be levitating, softly bouncing and spinning as if it was dancing. It didn't make a sound, but simply moved. Soon enough, they would close in. Dominic would reach out and carefully touch the blue ball, wondering if it was some form of magical entity or spirit. The moment his finger touched the ball, a vision came to him; a woman looking down from a beautiful mountain range, she looked like someone he might recognize, but wasn't sure.

In the next moment, the vision vanished and Dominic was Dex were sent flying back. The clergyman groaned in pain, but after collecting himself, he looked to check on Dex, luckily he was alive, but just passed out. The blue ball, however had vanished.

Dominic would carry Dex on his back as he walked to the hospital.

Once inside Orchidia, a man who introduces himself as Dacol Lubex would notice the two and assist Dominic in carrying Dex. Once at the hospital, a nurse had assisted them in placing him into a bed before tending to him. During that time, Dacol had asked about what happened. Dominic would begin to tell Dacol what happened concerning an investigation by the river, but was interrupted by Dex awaking. Joyful of his well being, Dacol and Dominic sighed in relief. Dex would reach out and grasp the clergyman's hand in thanks for taking his quest before reaching into his pocket and awarding him for his trouble. Dominic thanked him in returned before turning and leaving for the night as Dex would explain the entire story to Dacol.

For the rest of the night, Dominic wondered what the blue ball was, figuring it must have been some form of a spirit instead of a lingering spell. As for the vision, he questioned if it was a memory, but didn't know if it was his or someone else's.
