The Voda River stretched endlessly before them, a shimmering ribbon of water that seemed to defy comprehension. Its expanse was so vast that even the most vivid imagination could not fully grasp its scope. The river’s width was impossible to estimate, its far shore shrouded in mist and mystery, while its currents whispered secrets of distant lands. It felt almost otherworldly, a byword of the fantastical in a world already teeming with magic. Yet here they stood, Tōga and Strigr, mere specks against the grandeur of the landscape, both awed and intimidated by the journey ahead. The river was flanked by rugged mountains and dense forests, their shadows casting a patchwork of light and darkness across the travelers. The air was cool, carrying the faint scent of wet stone and wild greenery, mingling with the rhythmic murmurs of water flowing over unseen rocks. Tōga inhaled deeply, his gaze sweeping over the scene before turning back to Strigr, who lagged several paces behind. “Strigr-chan! We need to keep moving if we’re going to find shelter before nightfall,” Tōga called out, his voice carrying a note of encouragement despite the urgency in his tone. He pressed forward, his boots crunching against uneven ground as he navigated the rocky trail with practiced ease. “Otō-sama! You always do this to me,” Strigr whined, her breath hitching slightly as she hurried to keep up. Her shorter legs struggled to match his long, energetic strides, and she skidded occasionally on the jagged terrain. She moved carefully, her golden-blonde hair catching the light as she avoided the slippery edges of the path that led precariously close to the rushing waters. Tōga glanced back, a flicker of amusement crossing his features as he slowed his pace just enough to allow her to catch up. His vibrant pink hair, tousled by the cool breeze, was a stark contrast to the muted hues of their surroundings. Both travelers were clad in thick cloaks, their figures obscured by the heavy fabric that shielded them from the elements. The only splashes of color were their hair—the pink of his and the sunlit gold of hers—visible as they moved through the gray-green expanse of the countryside. Strigr sighed, her steps steadying as she fell into rhythm behind her master. Her loyalty to the Rune Knight was unshakable, and while her heart didn’t yearn for the same thrill of adventure that drove Tōga, she followed without question. Whatever made him happy, she would endure—even if it meant trekking across landscapes she would otherwise avoid. Still, as a dragon born of water, she couldn’t help but admire the Voda River. At times, it seemed less like a river and more like an ocean, its waves reflecting the sky in shades of blue and silver. The sight filled her with a quiet awe, a feeling of connection to the vast, untamed force beside them. “You know,” she began, her tone soft but tinged with exasperation, “you could slow down just a little. Not all of us are as... eager as you to race across a wilderness we’ve never seen before.” Tōga grinned, his pace easing as he turned to look at her. “If we slow down, we’ll miss all the excitement! Besides, Strigr-chan, adventure waits for no one.” She rolled her eyes but couldn’t suppress a small smile as she trudged forward, the sight of the river beside them reminding her of the beauty hidden in the chaos of their travels. wc: 611 |

Indeed, in a cave near the river one could find an enigmatic portal swirling in and out of existence. But as Toga and Strigr were wandering around the Voda river their presence was not left unnoticed. The river stirred quietly in their presence.
Indeed~ Adventure waits for nobody, and your presence here seems to stir some excitement as well~"
A feminine voice called out from nearby when the river's surface started to stir and become disturbed. A sudden surge of water burst upwards as the massive sea dragon emerged from amist the river. Circling her massive body in the air akin to a serpent she moved around Toga till she was right in front of him. The Leviathan's gaze lingered on the lad and his companion. "What brings you to my land Toga? And to think you would even invite your girlfriend along as well."
A playful jest at the maiden in his company, the Leviathan waited to hear Toga's response and reason for his presence here. Not that she minded it, at the very least she found there to be both entertainment and excitement in his presence. But for now she waited to see what type of surprises Toga had brought along.
