The next day after she killed a cultist for Aadrian, she received a note from a zealous priest -- Bishop Santos. She had never worked with him before, so this was a first. She wondered how he heard about her or knew she was in town, or how to contact her, or why he thought she was the right person to trust this job with. But he was right to trust her since she was doing it solely for the money. After reading the details of the request, Joan felt a rush of adrenaline. She was going to have even more fun than the job that Aadrian asked her to do, although the searching part was not going to be fun. Just like how she had to look for the cultist for her previous client, she was going to have to look for an address that was in the part where the streets were abandoned. She already knew this was going to be annoyingly time consuming. If only people knew the exact details about things like that. She would happily do the killing part, but she was not so fond of looking for things or houses, in this case. Folding the letter carefully and putting it in the pocket of her jacket, she headed out. She needed to keep that note since the address was written on it. She needed it for reference in case it was necessary. Joan had been dressing herself differently compared to how she normally did. She wore a leather jacket and jeans for most occasions now, and that included taking requests.

Joan walked from her inn to the abandoned streets where the address she was looking for was supposed to be. The only reason she was feeling motivated to do that was because of the next part of her job. Bishop Santos had not specified how she was supposed to kill them, but he did add that she was supposed to do it in secret, which she was an expert at anyways. Once she got the location, she realised how abandoned the street was. There was literally not a single soul around that she could see. Unless they were hiding, Joan was the only person in the street. “Great,” she grunted, standing still for a second to look around. The entire street was dark as well. The light from the one and only street lamp in the street was flickering. But thanks to being a vampyre, Joan was able to see everything with crystal clarity through the darkness. With a sigh, she started looking for the address. Even if she saw someone she could not ask them anyway, since she was supposed to do this secretly. So it was kind of a good thing that no one was around. Even then, she made sure she was not seen by anyone who could be hiding. After all, she was asked to do this secretly by her client. She kept to the shadows and treaded in the darkness.

After quite some time of searching, Joan came to a house that seemed deserted. From the distance she was standing at she could see that the doors were bolted. This had to be it. She was tired of looking around and so she decided that she would enter this house and kill whoever was in it, even if it was not the one she was looking for. At least even if this was not the house, the real targets would be on this street as well so that could send a message to them. But Joan hoped that this was the right house so that she would not have to repeat the job when her client found out that she had made a mistake. The vampyress looked around to check if anyone was watching before she entered the house. She could usually trust on her instincts. She would know if someone was watching or following her. Just like how she was able to tell when Aadrian was stalking her. She almost hit that man but seeing his face stopped her from doing so. Thank God she did not hit her client. So once she had made sure that no one was around, she walked up to the house. Her movements were completely silent of course, she no one would hear a thing, unless they saw her directly. But Joan made sure to stick to the shadows so she could not be spotted. Since the doors were bolted, she had to find a way in from the back.

Once at the back of the house, she saw a window to enter through, but she would have to break it. With another sigh, she looked around again before quickly breaking it with her elbow, hoping it did not catch anyone’s attention. The house seemed pretty deserted, but she was not going to give up now. The vampyress looked around the house before she found the clue that would lead her to the success of this mission. At first it looked like the family in this house was killed or something, but once she found a closet that looked kind of out of place, she looked behind it to find a door. Perfect. Wearing a triumphant smirk, the Phantom tried the doorknob. It would not budge, so she used her force to open it. Even though it was quite heavy, it did not make a single noise, which was funny. She walked in without hesitation and was led down a flight of stairs, when then leaded her to the basement of the house. She noticed that it was lit, by candles. There were her targets, all huddled up together, probably hiding from Bishop Santos. “Oh yum,” she said when she saw them. This caught their attention, but they were unable to react to her in any way since she finished the job nice and quickly. She left the small girl for last to feed on her. Once she was done, she left quickly.
