So problematic… A slight knot in the forehead of a fair femme from foreign lands as she walked through the she walked through the streets of Hargeon, though usually Sofia Serena would be happy to be walking around what had become her new home in the past year and especially so to be heading down to the seafront, today did not afford her all that much joy on the whole.
Who would have thought that the simple action of trying to protect our home would result in this? This blue eyed beauty not carrying her usual buoyancy and anticipation of bliss toward heading toward the beach or even her usual ensemble, while she certainly cut a fine figure in a flowing skirt and off the shoulder blouse and looked to be making the most of the way the weather was growing warmer and warmer not that winter was over, she felt more far more apprehension and annoyance toward the task she had today than she had experienced in what felt like forever.
All we wanted to do was make sure that the place was safe, after all that trouble with demons and then the brigands that followed them… Much of this ill feeling that this vixen from Valerica experienced coming from the fact that she was being thrown into something that seemed so very unnecessary, with what had been going on for the past year or more the magenta haired minx had been all for the guild that she served expanding its influence peacefully and taking the whole town under its wing to protect and nurture it. This simple idea of Alisa’s seeming to promote so much, and one of the nice little changes that her beloved black beauty had tried to enact once she had inherited the guild from Belladonna, it seemed like a scheme where everyone, the townsfolk especially seemed to benefit.
I suppose no matter what happens there will always be those who get a bee in their bonnet? The Rune Knights seeming to have drawn back due to their losses in the battles against the demons from the rifts and the brigands who had sought to exploit their weakness further, to Sofia it seemed a great idea to have a brigade of mages and would-be warriors to establish an accord with the various neighbourhoods and areas of their town in order to rush to defend if from any threat that occurred, and yet others did not. All that they had asked for was a small tax to better fund their activities in this regard and ounce of consideration toward the deeds they might have needed to perform in the absence of the crown’s protectors, which didn’t seem all that much in the grand scheme of things and was simply the money needed to pay people a fair wage for their work, but not everyone seemed to feel that way and that was something that really seemed to rub her up the wrong way…
