Alisa

WORDS: 300 | TAG: @Jan Ren | JEANS

Now, she knew many of her guild members were in Marigold, the only city in the South not under the direct control of Blue Pegasus... Mind you, Alisa didn't really know much about Penumbral Guard, the guild controlling the city. With the two of them both being Light Guilds, one would think it naturally for them to find a common ground and become the natural allies they seemed to be, but... Alisa had a distinctive distrust towards people she knew surprisingly little about, especially when one of their top members just happened to be a Lich.

Mind you, this was far from the reason that had brought her to Marigold to begin with. She came after learning how so many of her guildmates happened to be here. Now that the situation in Myras was mostly under control, the Guild Master naturally felt a certain drive to check up on those handful of members she hadn't seen in a while:

"I wonder what they're up to~...", mused the sculptress as she walked around throughout the park, enjoying the verdant sights all around, her generous chest heaving up and down, her eyes fluttering shut, as the tall sculptress simply enjoyed the fresh mountain air...

She couldn't quite experience this feeling in Myras, or even in Hargeon where the all encompassing sea breeze envelloped the whole town easily enough. Marigold may be a bit too quaint for her tastes, as a place where she could spend more than a few weeks at a time, but she certainly couldn't deny its charms. And until she actually ran into one of her guild members, she had plenty of time to enjoy it. Clad in a flatteringly tight pair of blue jeans and a sheer, breezy white blouse, the sculptress could actually enjoy a rare, relative anonimity in Marigold, a city where she never really had much presence, let alone influence in.

Jan Ren
"--Nghuh..!!"

Promptly raising himself up, still half-asleep; the Sinese found himself seated upon a bench, just waking up from what appeared to be a spontaneous nap. Things have been quite hectic as of late. Not quite in work, but in social life. Between some cheeky familiar werewolf coming to visit and having to coordinate a pseudo-assault against a young girl, one would only tell the pressure Jan Ren had placed himself under these past few days. It was almost natural to assume he'd crash in some way.

Still getting accustomed to the sun's rays as it would be the first thing his eyes would meet with upon opening once again, the young man stretched himself. Groggily picked up from the wooden bench as he made a long, tiptoed movement; the Blue Pegasus mark on his back displayed fully. Ever-shirtless as of recent misfortune, he wondered if in some way, he had attracted others' attention. Could be nice if some cute girl took notice of his body and drew closer.

As he finished his stretch, the young man plopped down once more. Ears picking up on what sounded like the thrilled, excited voices of bypassing men. This could only mean one thing!! Naturally piqued, Jan Ren immediately turned his head to see what all the commotion was about, definitely finding it to be the right call. A stunning figure with a gorgeous face, long silky black hair waved as the woman took a leisurely stroll around Marigold. Never before was she seen here in his time, otherwise he would have easily remembered her.

--It was then however, in the midst of his similar gawking, that his eyes widened in some shock; realizing who this beauty was. "...Wait, impossible." But Raymus said she was in Myras! How could this be?? Those bouncy, plump pair of jugs. He'd recognize that anywhere!!

"Master!!?"

Instantly raised to his feet once again, the Sinese made haste to approach the woman with not a second thought given. Face clearly surprised, slightly hinting on pleasure, yet also terror. "What are you doing here!?"

It hadn't been more than a few months since they met in that fateful late morning, back in Hargeon in the Blue Pegasus guild hall. He had since left to seek his own exploits, and Alisa hers. Currently, the two found themselves in different cities, but a lesser known ability given to some of the stronger members of Blue Pegasus allowed her to transcend time and space and present herself before her guildmate:

"Araaa, Jan, hmm~?", Alisa's eyes widened slightly, somewhat surprised by the unannounced, unexpected, but in no way unwelcome reunion. Had she known just how the man actually knew she'd be there, she'd have most cetainly taken her hat off, or in anyway lauded the young man's instincts to detect just where he might find a stunning woman. And indeed, his instincts proved true this time, as he came face to face with the similing Master of Blue Pegasus, greeting him delightedly, "Well hello there~"

For a moment, she merely stood there, taking two steps forward, meeting the man halfway before awaiting his approach, hand resting on her hip as those wine red hues scanned him head to toe, raising an eyebrow... Something felt different about him... She didn't remember Jan having all those tattoos, but then, she hadn't seen him with his shirt off. But that wasn't the difference she noticed. He felt stronger, somehow, different in some ways. But at the same time, she was glad to see some things never change.

"Why is there any way I shouldn't be...?", she teased, shooting him a cheeky, playful little wink, flipping her hair elegantly behind her. Did he... Not know what a thought projection was? Possibly not... Well, Alisa would most certainly tell him later on, but for now, a mischievous smile drew on her face as she couldn't help but play with him a little, shooking him a little wink, "My, how kind of you to keep tabs on my location, Jan~"

Oh this would certainly be fun~ Alisa felt utterly delighted to have a chance to catch up with one of her newer guild members, find out what he'd been up to... But that came after letting him figure out how she could be in two places at the same time.

Mind you, she obviously caught where his eyes wandered, but didn't really point that part out... Well, Jan had always been one of her less subtle guildmates in some ways, though Alisa wouldn't quite miss the chance to tease him over it, now, would she~? And so she merely folded her arms under her full, generous bosom, holding his gaze the whole way, making it all too clear she knew fully well were he was looking~

Jan Ren
Ever the seductress. A foreigner to her presence would have to wonder if the woman had deliberately chose every single action of her's, from her specific tone of speech to her words, body language and overall vibe accounted for all the while. Every ounce of her screamed 'sex appeal' and there was little shame involved, so much so that the men of Marigold gawking didn't even seem to bother her in the slightest. That was Master Alisa of Blue Pegasus, in Jan Ren's mind. Coincidentally, he was a practical foreigner.

So then, was it all a show? Or was she simply naturally gifted in the art of seduction?

Either way, it worked wonders. "No, it's just that... Raymus said you and the guild were in Myras by now!" He protested, still on the same surprised tone he displayed earlier, eyes scanning her form quickly before inevitably, locked on her stuck-out, generous chest. And from that point... They simply didn't budge. "He said you ordered everyone around to the mountain city for whatever reason, so I thought for sure you'd be there too!"

Almost as if he was talking to her breasts, rather than to the person herself.

With a difficult eye, Jan Ren couldn't tell much of the difference between the Alisa he had met two months prior and the one standing before him right now. But to converse with his Master all by himself like this -- and what's more, meeting her randomly as a chance encounter. Things didn't seem all that realistic, if he was to think about it! Considering himself blessed with her presence in the first place, the Sinese wasn't going to complain about it however. He did won some very clear eye candy in the process.

...Yeah, if Alisa and the guild really were in Myras, evidenced from the local werewolf'd little charade, this was all too improbable. He was still a bit tired too, so... Lucid dream??

Green eyes widened and locked entirely on whatever lied beyond that white fabric, the young man continued. Honestly surprised, but excited nonetheless. "No one from the guild contacted me in months! I started to think maybe I was being secretly hated..." He opened up, laughing some in a light manner despite the obvious insecurity showing through. He has voiced his concerns to his earlier-met friend as well, and while not nearing half-as-close with his Master as he would have liked to be, he figured. If this is a dream, why not!

"I wonder what's in Myras for us to look for though." He pondered, head cocked some to the side as a hand moved to grab at his chin in thought. "It's practically a desolate land. I don't see the merit in making the track, let alone settling."

All the while, his eyes have not moved a hint away from the woman's bosom.

Alisa

WORDS: 450 | TAG: @Jan Ren | JEANS

He was wrong about one thing, Alisa's natural charm wasn't so much a conscious act, but rather a natural result of her confidence, vanity and in this particular case, mischief. After all, she was happily married, and had no real reason to go around purposely seducing every happy onlooker she passed by. Purposely that is~... Alas, her eyes soon widened as she saw how intently the man oggled the modest hints of cleavage through the loose top buttons of her blouse, hand moving up her mouth as she chuckled:

"Now where in the world might you be staring hmmm~...?", she added with a knowing faint smile, arms loosening from her under her shapely chest, down to her hip as she tucked a loose black lock behind her ear. Unlike what you might assume, Alisa rarely felt a need to point out that out... Most people realized they were gawking at... Well, not her eyes, and glanced right back up with a flustered look, only to find her knowing wine red hues looking right back, "Hmmm, he would say that, wouldn't he~? It's only natural after all, we do have pressing guild matters to attend to in Myras, but, worry not, it's mostly under control by now."

Well, since she actually went and met Jan here, might as well give him some fresh news as to how the Myras campaign was going. There was no need to get any more guild members in on it. But not for a moment did she image he'd assume he was being purposely left out:

"Myyyy, quite the overactive imagination you have there.", teased the sculptress with a dismissive wave of her hand, looking almost shocked by the notion, smiling softly and cocking her head, resting her hand near her navel, right over the spot where her guild stamp stood, "Tell me, do you really think I'd allow somebody I hated to bear this guildmark~? Quite frankly, I'd assumed you'd gotten caught up in a quest, that we'd see you as soon as you returned."

Those closest to Alisa would understand that all too well... Making such an open minded, understanding woman hate you is no easy feat, but for those rare few who succeed, well. The least she'd expect is for them to give her a wide berth:

"Well Jan, I happen to wonder that as well. Which is exactly why we went there, to find out for ourselves, to establish relationships with a city that after all this time, so few people knew even existed.", she replied, a simple, yet upfront explanation of what they were actually doing in Myras, considering she hadn't yet had the chance to tell him about it.

Jan Ren
Pointed out about his bad habit, Jan Ren had flustered some, face reddening as he flinched aback some; "A-Ahh, sorry! It's an accident." The young man excused, amused at the antic and how well the Master appeared to take it. Eyes momentarily closed and posture readjusted as he scratched at the back of his head rather nervously, before resuming the exact same position. As if he was hypnotized, the Sinese' eyes remained reaching for her bust rather her face, apparently uncontrollably so.

He'd guess that, with the laid-back attitude she displayed and the lack of closeness with the woman, she was doing all that on purpose after all. In which case, what's wrong with grabbing a bit of eye candy, huh!?

Jan Ren's eye twitched in quick response; "Not necessarily... I'm no guildmaster, though I did work as a manager before." He admitted, dropping quick yet vague background to his days in Sin. "If it benefit the workplace, then even if I had come to hate a man, he would remain employed. It's what's best for the business that comes first in consideration, right?" He would be a fool to deny his contribution to Blue Pegasus as a guild and to Marigold as a city, fully taking credit for his work in the past two months.

In a way, the Sinese had attempted to stray the conversation away from him not being unliked. He wouldn't be conscious of it, having come to terms with his bad First Impression in-front of everyone at the guild and accepting his status as 'disliked' among them. Though, thing after another, he was surprised to find out he was, actually liked amongst his peers.

Which drew an honest, relieved and gentle smile from his face, despite his insecurity persisting in 'formal' speech. The short moment also marked the first instance in which Jan Ren lifted his eyes from the woman's curvy figure, staring straight into her wine-colored eyes with his own emerald's. "However, to know Master at least doesn't hate me. I'm glad."

---And, back to 'business'; his eyes once again moved back down. Did she cast a spell or something?? How was this even possible??

So Myras was a recently-discovered city and with it being entirely unknown and blocked off merchant routes, it appeared like an off move to aim to go there, especially with that grand of a force. "I see." He let out, taking a mild sigh at her explanation. From his perspective, it was a false move; and one ought to have scouted firsthand, regardless of the general information literally handed out to everyone about this city. With the terrain being so unforgiving and the city only recently making itself known, anxieties were a given. In that sense, Alisa turned to show a much bolder side to her decisions, than what Jan Ren had first assumed. "It is first-come first-serve. Though if I may, Master." He started, face once more entirely neutral as he analyzed the looming threat. "I would have chose a safer path regardless. Strong as you are, if anything happened to you or any of our members, a 'bad name' would be the last of our worries. This is, entirely uncharted territory..."

...A thought came to mind. If Alisa was so adventurous as to march onwards to unexplored land so brazenly, it would be interesting to take a hike with her one day. But with literal leagues of experience and skill parting them, that too is a distant dream.

...Huh. A dream inside a dream? This must be a lucid dream then!

"Seems like that particular accident happens quite often hmm~? Probably couldn't have pulled it off better if it was actually on purpose...", teased the sculptress, winking at her guildmate.

Were all Sinese people as perverted as he was? Or were they simply not seeing women like Alisa? She hadn't really met nearly enough people from that part of the land to know for sure, but from what she knew, Sinese women mostly took after their dads, so it may come as no surprise that he seemed so... Overwhelmed with meeting a woman as... Gifted... As Alisa Vollan. Unsurprisingly, he had his own ideas, though Alisa seemed almost stunned that he expected a guild to be ran as such:

"That might be correct in some scenarios, though running a Guild isn't quite the same as running any other business. To be truly successful we need trust and teamwork to work together as one as needed.", countered the sculptress, raising a hand up to her chin, her forearm squishing ever so softly into that voluptuous valley as she saw her guildmate's views and countered with her own.

Could there be any situations where she'd allow somebody she hated into her guild...? Possibly, if she felt she had to. But that really wasn't something an upfront woman like Alisa would do without a good reason. In the end though, Jan merely expressed his relief at finding he wasn't one of those exceptional cases, to which Alisa just smiled and chuckled:

"It was a risk worth taking, and so far, one that has quite clearly paid off.", her faint smile widened into a slightly satisfied smirk, perhaps tinged with a hint of relief. She had mobilized her guild members without knowing what awaited on the other side, trusting that initiative to be reward her, and successfully so in the end, "It isn't something I plan on doing unless I have a better alternative, you can rest assured on that... But at the same time, sending scouts onto uncharted territory could prove just as hazardous for them if they're not careful."

Alisa's eyes narrowed at the though, knowing that if some harm came to her family, there would be hell to pay. In the end, she'd much preferred to lead the charge herself: Just as she had in the past, she could hold her own relatively well and was used to getting by without anybody to watch her back:

"Hardly the kind of adventure you'd recommend now, isn't it~?", she added, cocking her head as her hand came to rest on her hip, half wondering how Jan himself would feel about that.

He seemed like the adventurous type, and at the rate he was growing, maybe one day he'd be the man she'd go to when she needed somebody to chart brand new territory for the rest of the guild to follow. Currently she had Manzo playing that part, but he wasn't always, well... Available, busy with his own missions as he'd been even before Alisa joined the guild.

Jan Ren
Despite being obviously distracted throughout the conversation, Jan Ren had listened carefully and took with utmost respect, every word the Master had to offer. Respect aside, she had further experience in the current work field than he did, especially apparent from his short time on the job despite his admittedly rapid growth. He would do well to learn from her and consider her perspectives, to one day pose a capable young and inspiring wizard himself. That is not to say that he entirely agreed with her, however. "Be that as it may." He started in counter-argument, his expression alone changing to match with the short banter. "While it has succeeded this time, who's to say it will next time. We have measures of scouting, and with me already being closer to Myras than the guildhouse... I would have mobilized a small crew first. If trust and teamwork is the key, surely you would trust your guild members to handle their own weight, right?"

Games of tactics and war were actually among Jan Ren's favorites. With the small selection of games he'd decided to adopt for himself at a young age, not being much for mindless time-wasting ever (having much better things to do, such as hitting on or staring at voluptuous women), he considered himself well-versed and skilled in that field. The Art of War wasn't simply child's play, proving itself a good simulation even in later years. Which is what the Sinese had already incorporated in his mind, approaching the situation very mechanically. ...Which he ultimately realized.

"...However, it is entirely your call. I believe you are just the type to lead, rather than just sit back and watch." He said, somewhat complimenting the woman as he sighed some in relief; convincing himself of how dependable a Master he has. Nonchalantly reaching to her side and gesturing with his hand, to lead the way. He did interrupt her in the middle of her stroll, after all. While pleasant and in his favor, it was rude to stop a beautiful lady in her tracks just to give away one's own opinion.

Hopefully the bystanders would view them as a couple, rather than... siblings.

He would reach with his other hand towards her back, if just to attempt intiating some form of touch. "Though I still wonder, Master." He started, finally looking away from her breasts for a moment as he watched the road ahead in his walk; "What's here to look for in Marigold? For someone like you, I mean."

It was a point of interest. Having spent so much time in the city as of late, Jan Ren had gotten bored quickly. It was the same peaceful scenery over and over, and he'd grown weary of it. If possible, he'd have liked to move somewhere else. "Also. Are you hungry?" He asked, properly looking into her eyes in that instance as he gave a welcoming smile.

Finally, the breasts' power has been lifted off him!

Alisa

WORDS: 450 | TAG: @Jan Ren | JEANS

Jan made a pretty fair point, and even though Alisa felt the bold political impact of appearing in person outweighed the risk of a military mishap, her main motivation laid elsewhere:

"Tactically speaking, that would indeed be the correct line. But in times of peace, politics are just as important as tactics. Don't worry thought, I'll keep that in mind for next time I need an efficient scout~", winked the sculptress, realizing this was one battle she could never win. She could understand it all too well, Jan's concern for her as hoped to have been sent out to Myras ahead of the master herself... Alisa knew it was rooted in much the same concern that drove her to lead the charge, "...Fufufu~ You got me~... Though there will be times when one needs to lead by example, you can rest assured. I'll try to bring you along: That way you can keep a close eye on me, hmm~?"

Letting out a graceful little giggle, Alisa couldn't help but smile as the man himself got the gist of it. She nodded at his words, thinking of how she'd landed this job in the first place. Having been a loner most of her life, Alisa had grown used to doing everything herself, and even now that she'd become the guildmaster, that same philosophy carried over to her style of leadership: Never to ask something that she wasn't willing to do herself. But she'd been learning by the second, to recognize her companions' strengths and weaknesses, to understand what tasks could any of them carry out better than her. Clearly, she and Jan would have a lot to discuss, but he was right... There was so much to do right here, right now, so much beauty to admire... It seemed almost pointless to spend this time entirely absorbed in their conversation:

"Well, just as you heard I was in Myras, so have I heard you were in Marigold, and how Ray came to join you as well.", added the sculptress, smiling softly at that casual touch to her back, hardly objecting to it as she brushed that flowing black hair behind her ear and carried on, not for a moment considering how onlookers might see them as a couple. Not that she particularly minded anyway, people were free to assume whatever they wanted really, "Seems only natural for a Guild Master to feel curious as to how her members are holding up, after all~"

Well, Alisa certainly though so, considering the casual tone and posture as she spoke those words, raising an almost puzzled eyebrow in response, as if such a thing should have been obvious in the first place. Indeed, it might have seem excessive to travel all this way just to check up on her Guild Members, but Alisa hadn't exactly come in person now, had she? Not that Jan had figured this out yet, and the sculptress wasn't exactly in a hurry to tell him, content to let him figure it out by himself:

"Not really, though if you'd like to grab yourself a bite, I'd be happy to join you. Might be a good chance to tell me what you've been up in Marigold all this time."

Jan Ren
The touch felt all too real to be a dream. To which, the Sinese had unfortunately conluded that he wasn't in lucid state; but this was real life. In a way, it was more pleasant a state, seeing how this meant his Master really was there, in the flesh, just to visit him per her words! It made him feel rather special, despite the obvious generalization the woman had included. He wasn't too pretentious as to assume himself more important or special than others of similar class, yet considered himself a better-suited guildmember than most. In a way, he did wish for some recognition, and in that sense he's received it.

After a short detour to grab a snack in the form of the most basic hotdog stuffed in a bun (having to make due with the absolute disregard of Bao in Fiore in general and Marigold in particular), Jan Ren picked a nice spot to stop by; "This should be good enough." Taking away from the Master's opportunity to observe the city was unideal, yet his own mannerisms as a Sinese man would prevent him from rudely eating while walking, god forbid. He'd only hoped Alisa would be on board with it.

"Ahh, if I had to take the credit, Master! I got rather acquainted with Marigold's folk in my while here. You'd be surprised how much help they require with the most mundane of tasks!" He elaborated, light-heartedly sharing the hardships, and the lighter experiences in the city. While of the mindset that Master wasn't one to delve too much in the plain man's specifics, he came to acknowledge Alisa's more personal tendencies. Myras' expidition layout was just an example for such. "But also, it seems this city's under protection by a rather small guild." He started, tone shifting just slightly to take a more serious tinge.

Yes, this one was a guild the Sinese happened to come across time and time again. Much to his surprise, as he'd never heard the first thing about it before arriving in the city. Almost like it was confined, and the folk believed in them like an exclusive religion. "Master, are you familiar with Penumbral Guard?" He asked, pausing to give her time to react. Now, seeing how he's never heard the name before arriving, Jan Ren was under the full impression that this was a small-time guild, barely noticeable outside of Marigold. But it harbored some peculiar members he may or may not have taken interest in lately.

That said, his words and intentions were never in hostility. "As it turns out, they are the favorites around this town. I believe it'd be a good idea to establish a proper relationship with them." He suggested, half-hopeful. If need be, the Sinese would have taken the role of the ambassador from Blue Pegasus, should the woman find herself too busy to bother. He's already had his experience with the bunch as it is. Though it was all empty thought, and entirely depended on her own discretion.

"...You know. If we're already on politics, haha."

WORDS: 600 | TAG: @Jan Ren | JEANS

"Indeed, this looks like a lovely place hmm~...? Well, what are you having~?", she inquired, pulling away the chair and taking a seat, crossing those long elegant legs while cooly cupping her cheek as she smiled ever so softly, brow raising with interest. She'd actually never joined Jan for a meal before, so she had very little clue what kind of mid afternoon snacks he normally went for.

For the most part though, she was content just listening to his adventures, for she herself hadn't set foot in Marigold in... Well, a couple years really. Though one might feel hard pressed to find things to do around this part, the city did have it's charms, in a quaint, peaceful sort of way. It looked like the kind of place she might picture herself living in many years from now, once she'd put the life of a Guild Mage behind her... Assuming she ever would really. She couldn't quite picture herself doing anything else at this point, and after letting out a soft sigh, she turned her gaze right back to Jan as her eyes narrowed: Alisa knew there was a "Light Guild" in Marigold named Penumbral Guard... She was, however, still on the fence as to whether or not she'd truly regard them as a light guild.

"Hmmm...", Alisa's brow furrowed ever so slightly at the name, enough for an attentive Jan to possibly gleam the hint of wariness that set the tone for her next few words, "Not as much as I should."

Not a sign of genuine interest by any stretch, but rather a show of wariness. All too clearly, the sculptress expressed her chief emotion towards Penumbral Guard: Distrust. Between a Lich as one of the higher ups, and a Guild Master who'd been making a name for himself with a sizeable bounty, the lithomancer had more than enough reason to feel troubled by whatever they might up to. Jan on the other hand, showed no such concerns. Perhaps the average guild member was different from what their leaders might suggest:

"Be careful, Jan. I've never heard of a Light Guild whose master racked up such a hefty bounty on such short notice.", in the end, Alisa felt more concerned about her Guildmate than anything else. No matter how strong he'd gotten, he was still just one man hanging around a whole guild whose goals she knew next to nothing about. Alisa shook her head and sighed, folding her arms over the table: For all her wariness, she wasn't about to deny him the chance to possibly learn more about them, "I wont dissuade you from choosing the diplomatic route, but I have very low expectations here. Just..."

She didn't actually regard the bounty as an accurate barometer for the man's character, after all rather judge a man by who he was rather than what the numbers said. But the fact that, as the Master of the Light Guild, he'd actually managed to accumulate such a sizeable bounty set a very poor, untrustworthy tone for the Guild as a whole. The Master of a Light Guild should be example to for others to follow, and Tomoe Tanaka was anything but.

"...Promise me you'll be careful."

Did they actually have any sinister motives...? And even if they hadn't, what if they're like the thankfully disbanded Nerva's Inquisition, capable of slaughtering entire villages to kill one measly demon? Sure, there are times when the ends justify the means... But those who fall back on that mantra time and time again often turn into the very thing they loathe... If not worse.

Jan Ren
Oya? Honestly, this was direct contrast to their earlier exchange; which in and on itself, served some degree of amusement. Though misplaced as the subject at hand wouldn't quite fit with bemusement. Jan Ren honestly figured that the woman would be all for getting to know new people, especially newbies like those in Penumbral Guard. Much to his surprise however -- not apparent on his face but rather simply kept as a note -- the Master sounded awfully wary. The lightest changes in her facial expression indicated as such too, and the Sinese initially couldn't quite understand why. Her explanation that would come later however, would serve as such.

-- "Wait, bounty?" The young man asked in some surprise, eyebrows simply raised some and eyes slightly widened; "As in, wanted? Penumbral Guard's master?" Sure, Jan Ren had heard of the system before. Never truly one to delve into it, the Sinese didn't consider himself enough of a fighter of Justice to go out of his way and hunt out criminals. However, she was right; a leader of a supposed Light Guild gaining such a bounty all of the sudden almost seemed too suspicious. He'd be smart to stay on his toes around the Master of such a guild; which further raised some questions.

Why did people he knew aligned themselves with such a figure? What about them would capture an impish soul like Masami or an innocent girl like Rinni? In the first place, who was the Master of Penumbral Guard? What were they like? It seems that even Alisa didn't know much about such figure. Which means... "...If that's the case. I don't mind playing the reckless route this time, Master." The Sinese suggested with a somewhat coy smile, cocking his head slightly to the side; as if in a sarcastic jab at the lady, for pulling a similar stunt with Myras.

"What's one guild, compared to a city. Diplomatic matters are important." He pretentiously quoted, then proceeded to finish his snack (having ate bits of it as he spoke, and listened to the woman). "I would like to believe, too. That they're not bad people, I mean." Jokes aside, as Jan Ren did take some sort of tonal shift from the bratty stinginess he perhaps mistimed. This time was more considering, as if he'd given it some prior thought. In short, matching the Master's own initial reaction, though in a much more (desperately) positive outlook. "I've met a couple of members from their ranks... They're all good people. So there must be a reason why they'd follow a figure like that. And I'm willing to put myself out there to find that out." The Sinese explained, all the while his emerald eyes staring directly into the sculptress' own wine-colored.

In his own way, Jan Ren had wanted to promote the guild's status as well. So far all he'd bore fruit to however turned out to be simple request filling. "Trust me. I'm still a member of Blue Pegasus." He uttered, giving the final nail to his statement.

"And besides! Master's here in Marigold too, so we definitely got a good shot! Why not come with me if you're already in town?" The young man offered, once more assuming a more eager tone.

"Ufufu~... You're really not going to let that one slide will you~?", chuckled the lithomancer, cocking her head ever so slightly as her cheek came to rest on the palm of her hand, brow raising in visible amusement. Aloof and whimsical like a lone, roaming cloud, all her life Alisa, "Indeed, I doubt most of them are disreputable people, but what their master is doing... Is either ill intentioned or just unbelievably irresponsible."

She saw the latter option as the best case scenario here, even if she had no high hopes for this endeavor. Who knows, considering Jan actually knew and could vouch for the rank and file members, having those on their side could probably prove fruitful in the long run. If anything, Alisa had no desire to foster any idle animosity she wasn't prepared to follow through. If they were going to coexist... Might as well do so peacefully:

"Very well.", she nodded, that every present faint smile returning to her plush, pale pink lips, even if she couldn't quite let it go without a last condition, "If it you start feeling wary about them, let us know immediately, alright?"

Since he was indeed a member of Blue Pegasus, it seemed only natural for the surprisingly protective master to look out for him, and she clearly showed no qualms about it really. The way she saw it, any responsible master ought do the same, as one of the reasons why she nurtured her power in the first place. To keep her home safe... And what's a home if not the people who live there? Alas, she couldn't quite follow through just yet... Not like this:

"Well, I could do that but... I... Can't really do much in this state.", she confessed, sounding almost apologetic in the way she glanced out towards the street and scratched her cheek ever so softly. She'd been waiting all this time to see if he figured it out but he never did in the end. Looking back up into Jan, her brow rose once again, "You don't really know how I can be in two places at once, do you?"

Cat was finally out of the bag, and to her credit, she had no plan to keep such a secret from her guildmate when she found he was truly not familiar with the spell in any way. Perhaps they didn't have it on Sin? Technically speaking, Thought Projection was a relatively easy magic to master, however, it required tremendous amounts of Mana, so it was hardly something anybody could learn through traditional means. The simplest way to attain it came down to just having access to the magic in some way, such as through a Guild spell embedded in the very stamp of Blue Pegasus.

Jan Ren
Seems his persuation has bore some fruit! With Alisa's following jab and eventual approval, Jan Ren couldn't help but feel a sense of accomplishment. He's now been tasked with something important for the future of Blue Pegasus, and he darned well wasn't going to screw this up. Upholding himself to his expectations of a proper diplomat, the young man puffed out his chest some in pride as he finally received the "okay" from his Master.

Of course, he realized there might be trouble involved. If their master did recklessly rack up such a hefty load, without it reaching the Sinese' ears, it must mean he's not dealing with the average person. On that front, he did agree to being careful. However, he also believed naively enough that if he showed his friendly nature with the guild's members, their master would abstain from making too much trouble. This was all, though, baseless thought as he'd never even took the time to learn the Guard's official Guildmaster's name. Regardless... "Of course!" ...He complied.

It was settled then. Jan Ren will reach the Guard's gates by himself, and should things go south, the rest of the guild would hear -- possibly through the Pegasus Communication System.

And while he initially figured Alisa's location (in Marigold) would play a good part, the young man found himself in questioning surprise. At first concerned that something happened to the Master that'd hinder her, the thought of acting on her part crossing his mind as a 'temporary body' for the lady should the situation call for it; though fortunately such wasn't the case. Still a refreshing bit of information, much preferred to something happening to the woman. "Huh? Two places at...?"

He'd read something about this in previous times. Or was it 'heard'? He couldn't quite recall, but the ability to exist in more than one place at a time did come across Jan Ren's ears in an earlier time. Though insignificant enough a detail and unexplored just enough to fail at calling it from memory when in suspicion, but Alisa's hint served a good drive for his mind to fetch that bit of lost memory. "Master, you can use Spacial Magic?? --No, wait. Illusion?" However, to pinpoint how she could be at two places at once was beyond him. As at the time the Sinese had never seen his master at active work, he lacked proper knowledge to her abilities as a wizard and with that detail, anything could be the jackpot.

...And while we're at it. "Then that means, you really are still in Myras!" He deducted, quite obviously. "Hold on, you tricked me!" The young man retorted, eyebrows furrowed in realization. The woman wasn't actually there in reality, which could put to question some other motives. Why go sightseeing in Marigold through an illusion? "What are you really visiting Marigold for??"

WORDS: 480 | TAG: @Jan Ren | JEANS

Alisa could only hope he wouldn't run into any trouble throughout his endeavor in Penumbral Guard... Jan had grown tremendously, enough that she could feel comfortable entrusting him with such a potentially dangerous task, but naturally, she'd much prefer if she were wrong and he was right about this mysterious Light Guild. Understandably, Jan was visibly shocked when Alisa mentioned being in two places at once, something she took note of, and was ready to explain exactly what that temporary body meant. As a Thought Projection, Alisa had access to none of her powers or abilities, and the mere attempt to touch things often proved taxing:

"I suppose Illusion would be a more fitting term, but really, this is mostly a Sensor type magic first and foremost.", she explained, cupping her chin and furrowing her brow as she sought the best way to describe Thought Projection, "It helps me reach places i'm not physically supposed to be in, to see people and events with my own eyes."

in the end, he got the gist of it quickly enough. Alisa was still in Myras, however, she'd never actually lied to him. The business in Myras was indeed mostly taken care of, enough that she could spare such a sizeable chunk of her mana to project herself into Marigold:

"My, Jan, I'm almost hurt... Just when exactly have I lied to you, hmm? We've almost settled our issues in Myras, so I felt like taking a little stroll somewhere else.", spoke the sculptress, brow raising, leaning back on her chair, crossing her legs as her hand came to rest daintly over her chest. In the end she couldn't help but smile, shooting him a quizzical look, "Is that really so shocking that I'd want to check up on how my guildmates are doing?"

Instead, she wound up turning it around on him, feeling utterly baffled that he'd assume he was being lied to. Well, deceieved possibly, but in all fairness, Alisa had never told him otherwise, and now could only express her own curiosity as her plush faint widened, until the tall woman couldn't help but fold her arms under her chest once more until that full, generous cleavage fluffed out ever so slightly:

"Do tell me, if you had this kind of power, what other kind of use would you give it, hmmm~?", she inquired, raising an eyebrow, cupping her cheek as she couldn't help but wonder what would an adventurous man from Sin consider using that kind of ability for, "If you could project your consciousness across kilometers away, to explore them as though you were physically there..."

Jan had strong ideals, Alisa had already learned that about him, something she admired in the end. So it should come as no surprise that she was often intrigued by what different viewpoints he'd have to offer.

Jan Ren
So it was an illusion-type of magic. Yet oblivious to the workings behind it, Jan Ren could only speculate how his Master came to learn such a spell or how does one even go about using it. That said, with him not being entirely aware of the woman's abilities and magic, one could only assume such was in the range of her capabilities as a natural thought. She was, after all, a Wizard Saint.

"H-Huh!?" Dumbfounded at the accusation, the Sinese' head jerked back a bit as his ever-expressive face matched his apparent lack of proper answer. "Hey! Cheesing your way into me won't help you here, Master! I'm fully aware!!" The young man declared, half-jokingly as admittedly; she already got to him before this little exchange even began. Of course, Jan Ren woulnd't hold it against the other in any way, as it was ultimately simple harmlessness. If anything, he was genuinely glad when addressed in such a high degree. Regardless, standing his ground would serve some amusement at least... If anything, letting her know she was in fact affecting him well.

Upon Alisa's not-so-subtle show, the Sinese' eyes once again moved instinctively to her generous chest, peering into the cleavage presented as if it was only natural. For a rather elongated moment, too; before getting to the inquery at hand. "Hmmm." He mused in thought (eyes glued to the woman's breasts, still). The first thing that came to mind.... If I could project my consciousness anywhere, huh? "If I am unseen, the answer is obvious." Jan Ren opened, gaze moving up from the treat received to once again lock with the woman's own, giving a wide smile as his eyes narrowed slightly.

"The women's bath in Hosenka." A trail of blood cascading down his nostril in light of the lecherous thought.

While classily and neatly wiping the trail of nosebleed from right over his upper lip, Jan Ren continued to fantasize, delving into the matter mentally. Naturally he wouldn't be unseen, seeing how he could very much communicate with and even touch his Master in this state. However, whatever strong ideals about mannerisms he brought with him from Sin, in the end, he was but a simple man. His motivation driving him to initially join Blue Pegasus was still very much present even now, and just like back then, he'd flaunt it shamelessly in the likes of Alisa's presence. Such is the way of a determined lecher.

"(What else would I need such a spell for?)" Though the thought surfaced, the young man could think up several other options for proper use. There was, of course, the lack of risk presented with not being physically present at a certain place, going hand-in-hand with the earlier topic discussed.

"...I do believe..." He once more started, still on the same subject as an idea clicked. "...If possible, you could join me as you are to discuss with Penumbral Guard. Even if you aren't physically present, Master's agreement and input is still very much necessary. It could help a lot, I think."

WORDS: 480 | TAG: @Jan Ren | JEANS

Alisa couldn't help but chuckle at his knee jerk response, leaning back and crossing her legs as she snickered, taking mercy on him, at least just enough not to pressure him any further on the subject matter. She had a pretty good idea of what he'd actually answer, and yet she couldn't help but watch his every move as he mulled on the obvious answer, and so when he finally confirmed her assumptions, the sculptress could only giggle:

"Ever the lecher hmm, Jan~?", she spoke, her smile widening at the trickle of red dripping from his nose. He didn't really need to actually voice a proper answer, for his own body betrayed him and voiced him for it. Whether he was thinking about the locker rooms or public baths, the sculptress didn't believe that sort of distinction would have mattered much in the end. She couldn't guess as far as the specific city he'd chosen, but she knew enough perverts to understand when a man wanted nothing but to peep on naked women, "Fair warning... If the women there wish to punish you for your misdeeds. I won't protect you in any way you know~?"

Even a wholly tolerant woman like Alisa had understandably little tolerance towards perverts... The last guy who tried doing that in the hot springs she was soaking in, well... Alisa didn't really kill him but she'd no doubt he probably wished she had.

"And since I could never condone such behavior... If I catch you, punishment will be swift and decisive~", this time though, the sculptress' eyes narrowed almost menacingly, despite that ever present faint smile plastered on her lips, leaving it painfully evident that perverted antics would be especially ill recieved if they took place in a bathhouse where she happened to be in.

Indeed, it was common knowledge to the perverts of Fiore that trying to spy Alisa Vollan naked in the bath could turn into a potentially life threatening endeavor... Potentially more so if her wife happened to be around. In the end, the diplomatic use of being in multiple places at once seemed far more appealing an alternative to the crystal mage, who nodded in agreement at his proposition:

"That sounds like a plan I could get behind~... However, we might have to leave it for another day if that's how we're doing it...", Alisa let out an almost tired sigh, running her hair over her long hair. She used this spell more than enough times to understand how undeniably taxing it could be, and how after spending all this time with it active, she'd be unable to use it again for another week or so, "...I'm afraid our time together is running out. This spell isn't something a mage can keep active for too long, even one with as much magic power as myself. Something we should keep in mind when we go there to meet them~"

Indeed, if Jan looked hard enough, he could probably see how Alisa's lifelike image had all but started to fade into the background, ever so softly, growing increasingly translucent with every passing moment. Clearly they wouldn't have much longer together.

Jan Ren
Disregarding the obvious threats thrown his way in regards, Jan Ren remained true to his initial character; simply accepting at face value everything the Master had to comment. It wasn't very much so back when he'd first joined, aside for a simple "oh, you're serious." as a surprised response to his boldly stated business within the guild. In retrospect, the woman's amusement back then and now, both dashed with a pinch of danger, spoke for how the matter may have been missed upon her. Nevertheless, "Worry not, Master. I will make sure to get thoroughly beaten up as just Jan Ren, and not of Blue Pegasus!" He shamelessly assured the ravenette, offering an accompanying thumbs-up and a confident smile; as if proud of his decision.

If Blue Pegasus was all about self-improvement and the never-ending chase after general betterment, the Sinese' antics were unique in standing on gray area. Just enough to utilize his skills efficiently, but also on the verge of getting a bad name. While such was true, it would be categorized as merely 'another joy of life'. Hopefully, the boy wouldn't drown down a more destructive path.

--"Oh?" Blinking twice and taken aback a tad bit, the young man observed as the outlinings of this woman's form appeared to lightly fade; warranting a quick rub to his eyes, blaming the outside light for such trickery, initally. If so, he had been wrong in his assessment and justifyingly so. "Something even Master cannot keep up for long periods of time, huh." Interesting. Such a seemingly mundane, unconsequential spell, heaving such a toll upon one's Mana and stamina. Almost as if the user was forced to maintain their presence in another location simply by holding themselves from that distance. Perhaps it didn't even have to do with the location where she's manifested, and the spell itself was simply that taxing. Either way, it appeared rather... Off.

"Illusionary Magic is surprisingly difficult to maintain, huh." He remarked, off the top of his head.

Yet, another thought came to mind, one that caused the Sinese to genuinely smile once again. Every trace of his earlier pervertedness gone, the Sinese unconsciously lowered his chin a tinge; eyes closing in satisfaction. "If so, I will have to find a way to contact you when the time is right." Naturally, he spoke about the meeting with that foreign guild; "I'd hate depleting your magic power like so again for no good reason." The Sinese led, head cocking to the side some. His apparent change in aura manifested in his approach as Jan Ren bowed to the woman respectfully, a deep and familiar bow, bidding her farewell already.

"However..." The feeling that stayed and the realization that hit him in truth, was in importance. His own, assumed importance. "I very much appreciate you willing to exhaust yourself so, just to pay me a visit. Forgive me for taking off your time this much, but. Thank you, Master."

Perhaps a bit self-important, though such is the way of the vain man. Someone as powerful and dominating as Alisa, willing to spend every ounce of her magic power for the simple reason of sightseeing -- and meeting with a fellow guild member. While in further thought it would be easily applied towards the rest too, for Jan Ren it spoke for how significant he felt, for this woman. And he'd be nothing short of rude or mad not to greatly appreciate the attention.

"Fufu~... Well I admire your resolve.", she replied with a smile, and she certainly meant those words, even if, granted, she'd prefer he dedicate that strong will to different causes. No doubt, she might have underestimated the boldness of his cause, but in her defense, she hadn't met quite that many people with such dedication to the lascivous ways. He's probably get along with Esperia now that she thought about it. Shame she hadn't seen her apprentice in so long...

Diplomacy with Penumbral Guard for example, that was certainly a good alternative, but, to his credit, he already volunteered for that. Alisa still had some doubts as to whether it would actually pay off but... She applauded the attempt, and would support it the whole way. Whatever issues she might have with their dubious guildmaster, she had none of those against the rank and file members, many of whom she simply didn't know at all.

"Well that's not really that surprising, is it now~...? In all the magics out there in the world, surely... There ought be a handful even I could never cast~", she added, leaning in, almost bewildered at his look. Actually there were more than a handful, really, most magics were effectively uncastable in her hands... She struggled as much when she first started learning Demon Slayer magic.

Though a little more complex that a mere illusion magic, it was similar enough that she could agree with his deduction, though in all fairness, most illusion magics were comparatively simpler to cast than Thought Projection. Not that Thought Projection was inherently complex, it was just costly:

"Worry not, I'm sure we can figure something out when the time comes.", but in the end, she couldn't help but raise her hand to her chest as her brow rose, "My... I'm touched~"

Her smile brightened at his show of concern, something Alisa had to admit... She really wasn't used to. Too many people just looked at her and saw... Well, a Wizard Saint, which she was. She appreciated each and every one of her guildmates for simply treating her as a woman, indulge her when she so often dismissed the formalities one might associate with her rank. But even among her guildmembers, few other than Sofia showed this much concern for her power and its limits.

"Not at all~", she replied, waving her hand negatively as she shook her head, throwing him a playful little wink as her body slowly faded, "I'd say spending this time together with you has been an excellent use of my magic power. Take care, Jan. I'll see again you soon~"

Jan Ren
It was a surprise. To some extent, anyway. With Alisa's constant attitude of self-betterment and being in control (at least, the attitude he got off her prior), the idea that she couldn't master a magic was rather foreign. Not because there surely was a spell or two that'd prove too much even for her, but rather because. He'd never envisioned her dedicating her time towards something else. Ergo, something she wasn't proficient with or already practicing in the first place. The idea of a newbie Master was, absurd.

Narratively, he'd later find it a funny thought in truth.

As the woman in-front turned more and more transparent, Jan Ren took in the limits of the magic. Perhaps it was so difficult that even the likes of her could only prolong it for this amount of time, which made it all the more impressive. So then, what if the Sinese came to learn that spell? Would he even be able to pull it off?

"Heh..." He chuckled further; "Thanks again, Master." He said, watching as her form all but disappeared completely in-front of him. With newfound confidence in his welcome in his home, the Sinese' mood was rather elevated. A meeting with his Master like that is perhaps just what was needed to convince the young man of his place properly.

"...Y'know." He closed his eyes, once she'd already left. As if continuing the conversation, still having something left unsaid. Something he may have wanted to voice out, if properly allowed to and of his personal place. "It'd also be interesting if, I could go visit Sin again like this." It was a little bittersweet for him to recall. His circumstances for leaving Sin weren't fully of his will, after all. "I could see Ha and To whenever I wanted..."

...

He had to jot down, right as the woman had not a trace left in Marigold left, that through this talk he could learn a thing or two. Perhaps he'd actually put it to use in the future. "...It may be true, but. That's some serious sweettalking. I'd better learn that!" Admittedly one to throw compliments to his 'prey', Jan Ren could use a useful skill like that, with genuine meaning coming beyond simple ad-lib and lip-service. Whether it was in magic, improvement, socializing or flattery, he was just no match for that woman.

...Huh. When did it turn into a contest? Perhaps, with this simple exchange. Jan Ren had come to view the woman a lot less as a superior figure, and more an equal. ...Is that possible?
