Reputation Regulations

Reputation

  • Reputation is the combination of Fame and Infamy i.e a character has 3000 Fame and 2000 infamy, then they have 5000 Reputation.

  • Fame and Infamy are given to characters for fighting, completing quests, and participating in some events.

  • The higher your reputation, the more the public knows about your character.

Personal Reputation

  • 2,500+ Reputation: Your face and name is still largely unknown to the general public as a result, you'll be treated like any other citizen walking around in the streets. Until you become more recognized you will be treated just like everyone else in the broader society.

  • 5,000+ Reputation: You have complete enough deeds in the world to warrant people knowing your name (or epithet). However, not much else is known about you for now. Members may now decide their epithet if they are also B-Rank.

  • 10,000+ Reputation: Your days of brazenly walking through town without recognition are over. The general public might make efforts to avoid walking near you, out of fear they will anger you and face your wrath. You have gained enough recognition that people will begin to recognize your face, though not enough to place it to your name. In addition, they know your guild allegiance.

  • 25,000+ Reputation: Now you're starting to become a force to be reckoned with. Your reputation has increased, with everyone knowing who you are, and most people hoping to speak to you or catch a glimpse. People can now put a face to your epithet and your deeds have garnered you a reputation worthy of your position. The element/s of your magic (mage) or your preferred weapon type (Adventurer), and overall appearance are known to people.

  • 50,000+ Reputation: Your feats and achievements leave you swarmed or isolated in the streets, and probably have to hide your face to actually get to where you're wanting to go. You've reached the point of being a celebrity or a villain. Everyone knows your name, and what you're capable of. You might get invites to every major affair happening in Fiore, or crash them for the sake of mayhem. At this stage, The abilities and name of your magic (mage) or main weapon (Adventurer) and class will be known by the public.

  • 75,000+ Reputation: You are now a Legend, a beacon of hope, or a symbol of despair. Perhaps you've defended the country from an army. Maybe you're married to a noble or even someone in the royal family. Perhaps you even destroyed and corrupted towns throughout the land. You have proven that you are someone who will be recognized, not only in Fiore but across the entire world. You have proven that you are someone to be recognized, not only in Fiore but across the entire world. Bounty hunters or assassins may try to hunt you down by this stage and, unfortunately for you, they have a lot of information to work with. A lot of things are known about you, from your publicly used spells and the abilities of your weapon, to your religion, your romantic relationships, and your guildmates. People know who you are allied with and who your mortal enemies are, should you have any.

Reputation Concealment

  • There are only a few known ways to temporarily conceal the reputation of a character. Temporarily because members would eventually become recognizable with a different face or for using a mask over time.

  • If the user purchases a Physique Potion, their reputation is concealed for one month as long as their identity is not revealed via any methods.

  • The same concealment applies to race changes if results in changing face claims, however, this does not negate the effects nor the gaining of reputation or bounties.

  • Illusion-based abilities such as the one found in Agatha's Mask can also be used to conceal a person's reputation as they are concealing their overall appearance. This effect only applies as long as the character's identity is not revealed to those in the topic.
