Escapism [Green | Knuckles v Sho] Empty Wed May 04, 2022 1:47 pm

Sho

Sho and his wyvern companion were seen resting under a cherry blossom tree. Slim Jim was pressed against the tree while laying on his belly while Sho leaned back on him. The cherry blossoms were falling ever so slightly. The gentle breeze carried several cherry blossoms away into the air. They were sitting there without a care in the world. The surrounding area was a grassland area, a wide open space for several meters to come. Sho would be able to see anyone coming from the front while Slim Jim kept one eye open towards the back.

No one would be able to sneak up on them from this position. So they knew they could rest here peacefully without a care in the world. Sho pulled out a flask, filled to the brim with rum he got off a pirate some time ago. He had a barrel of the stuff attached to Slim Jim’s saddle so he could refill on the go while he was out in Joya. Sho did want one thing though, some action. It had been some time since he fought with Lucretia; he figured he expanded his abilities enough to fight someone once more. The question was who was he going to fight?

Knuckles Shi

White chartings the skies on the back of Fang, his white wyvern,  Knuckles was enjoying his time here in Joya. However,  Fang caught wind of a scent, the scent of one of his own.  The two never had a master and pet relationship so when Fang over down to the ground as he followed the Scent Knuckles' only reaction to this was shocking. "Woah, Fang give me a warning next time friend. What if I had been asleep?"   He looked around trying to see what had his friend in such a tussle. Then he saw a Red Wyvern, that explained it. Knuckles had never come across another one before.  They were rare and powerful creatures.

Stera meanwhile could be found laughing his tail off at the abrupt response from Knuckles "You should have seen the look on your face!" Knuckles Turned to face the imp-like creature and started yelling. "You shut your mouth Stera before I shut it for you!  Stera laughed hard replying "Hahuaha, be careful Knuckles or you will get a trickle in that pretty face you got/ This would only fuel Knuckles' annoyance with the creature.  Before he could carry out his threat, Fang landed on the ground letting out a roar as he did so.

Knuckles then noticed a person with the wyvern.  Looking at the red wyvern and the humanoid Knuckles gave out a welcoming shout. "Greetings! Please forgive us, my friend Fang here got excited seeing another of his kind. Would you mind fi we joined you for a moment?

Taking a swig from his brew Sho noticed someone and something on the horizon. A roar could be heard throughout the area as someone in question landed. Looked like they had a wyvern of their own, the difference was this person was talking to it.  They gave a welcoming shout Sho swallowed his drink and waved for them to approach. “No no I don’t mind you joining us we were just relaxing,” Sho replied. Sho didn’t move from his spot he just welcomed a new guest and his companion. “A white wyvern, never seen one of those before, have we buddy?” Slim Jim stood up and walked over to the white wyvern to inspect him or her. Not saying much but just sniffing, Sho wasn’t too sure if Slim Jim was friendly towards other wyverns, he never had met another one outside of Slim Jim. “Oh where are my manners, I’m Sho Shimura, this is Slim Jim. I can’t seem to put my finger on it but you look familiar. Have we met before?”

Knuckles Shi

It was a joy to hear that the trio would be welcomed to join them for a bit. It seemed the pair of them were just relaxing, Knuckles could relate. He often did that himself with Fang and Stera usually on their travels from city to city or even countries such as Joya. "A pleasure for sure Lord Shimura, I am Knuckles Shi. A pleasure to you as well Slim Jim, you are as beautiful as you are red. A fine color if I do say so myself. The big boy is Fang, and the little one is Stera, though do not mind anything he has to say. He makes a joke out of everything. I can not say that we have, though perhaps you have seen wanted posters of me back in another country. " Knuckle did not hide that he was wanted from anyone, nor did he brag about it. It just happened to be a fact, and if the man thought he had seen Knuckles before perhaps that was it?

Sho chuckled at the idea of Knuckles calling him Lord, he wasn’t too fond of being called titles. He felt like he did not deserve it. Slim Jim pranced around as he clearly liked Fang. “No need for lord, it's just Sho. Slim jim appreciates it no doubt. Ain’t nothing like a good joke,” then it dawned on Sho when knuckles mentioned the wanted posters. He did see Knuckles’ picture back at headquarters. But he didn’t care as he was no longer a Rune Knight. As long as Knuckles didn’t commit any crimes in front of him he had no reason to be on edge around this man. At least he didn’t give him a reason to. He came off as friendly so Sho returned the thought. “Yea I am pretty sure I saw your mug when I was a Rune Knight, but no worries I am no longer a Knight. Just your average run of the mil mage looking to make a name for himself. What brings you around these parts?”

Knuckles Shi

Knuckles sighed at the comment of him no longer being a rune knight. He thought he might have had a fight on his hands and some revenge. Sho was the second mage he had run across that had recently left the Knights. He wondered what was going on for that to occur. "I am a bit disappointed, to be honest. If you were still an active member I could have gotten a bit of my revenge out on you from other members, sadly like Hitomi you are no longer one of them. " Knuckles found a nearby tree and leaned on it allowing his back to push against it taking some of the weight off his shoulders from his armor as he sunk down to his but. "I came to fetch my butler and enjoy the festival out here, but at last I was too late in my arrival to enjoy it, still got to witness the beauty of it though. How about you? Came to find something to bring renown to your name?" The pair seemed to have a bit in common aside from the Wyverns that was. Each man was out on a quest to grow their name and become something of a household name. He was sure they were going about it in different ways though that he was sure of.

Knuckles was disappointed in the fact that Sho wasn’t a Knight anymore. Revenge was a foreign concept to Sho. He had never been in a position to seek out revenge. As his father told him to dig two graves if he ever went out looking for revenge. That line had stuck with him since the day he told him. But knew he wasn’t immune to the notion of revenge he just never got put in a position to desire it. “You seem like a man on a mission if you're looking for revenge.” Sho watched Slim jim walk back around and sit behind him again. “Butler? I am not laughing at you just the idea of having one you must be rich!” Sho chuckled at having a butler or being that rich to be in such a position. He then began to speak again, “Yeah I was out here for the festival and got to do a couple of things before it ended. And I guess I am looking for strong people to test myself in combat. Might you be interested, me being an ex knight in all? I'm not saying let's fight to the death, but let's test our might and see if I can alleviate some of that revenge on your shoulders. It's a hard burden to carry.”

Knuckles Shi

Knuckle sighed and shook his head. "Well the revenge is only against 3 of the members. Not sure if they are even knights anymore at this point. However. " Knuckles quickly changed his expression to one of excitement. "I never turn down a challenge. As for the Butler, I was at one time part of a wealthy household but left to make my dream a reality, this man also went to follow his dreams and wished to work under me again. So he is proving himself to make that happen. "

After talking Knuckles bent at the knee and rose to his full height as he looked over Sho's gear. He had some impressive gear, he was interested to see how they served him and what type of fighter he was. Knuckles hoped it was a close combat style, but most people were in fact mages which made combat a bit of a challenge for him, though that would not ever prevent him from following the path of combat. He felt that trill of excitement run through him as he moved away from the Wyverns and Stera keeping them at 20 meters from him. He would walk in a way where he and Sho could maintain their current distance from each other and ensure their friends were out of danger of the fight.
