Quite serene was Magnolia in the early evening- yet no so serene was the booming business of the sprawling shops nearing night time. As a member of Blue Pegasus, the man known to few as Zaddoch Aveel and to others as the 'Chainlight Mage' was tasked with a mission. Befitting of his standing, Zaddoch's mission entailed the protection of a local corner store called The Wending Wave- for all intents and purposes, it was a pet store of which the owner had a passion for marine literature. For one reason or another, of which the Chainlight Mage made little point to find out in detail, the poor owner and his daughter had incurred the wrath of a thug group of supposed debt-collectors. Never frightful but rather wary of his own skin, Zaddoch had asked that the mission request be met by a few more of his Pegasus companions; perhaps opting to make friends and connections in such a way, even roundabout as it seemed.
Arriving at the scheduled time frame, if a bit early, the mage was clad in wear that he was often seen in; a beautiful red coat and armour of glimmer-silver that so often characterized the effort he put into his style. According to what him and his comrades had discussed, they would be meeting outside the Wending Wave at an earlier time so that the group of interest- the thugs, namely- would have been less likely to spot them going in. That, and it was all too suspicious for a group of well-clad Blue Pegasus magi to be posted outside a shop; it would have been all too obvious that they'd been hired for protection.
"Wending Wave- a beautiful name." muttered the Chainlight Mage, whose hands were clasped behind his back to project a measure of discipline, of order itself, as he walked down the cobblestone path. Within a few minutes of searching, Zaddoch would have found the shop that he had to protect. It was an ornate piece of architecture that stood out among the rest- obvious, then, that the shop owner had incurred some type of debt to make this happen. Magnolia was a rich town, sure, but it looked too good for this particular district. Like a moth stumbling onto flame for the first time in a good while, Zaddoch let his lips curl into a sagely smile. Now, all he had to do was wait for the others to meet him.
