Toma groaned as his eyes fluttered open. He was sore and his clothes tattered. Yet his armor was still intact. Everything was doubling as flashing white as he pushed himself to his knees. Haggard's breathing and blood ran down his face. He opened up his mask to wipe the blood along with the dry blood trying to stabilize himself. Deep breaths to receive oxygen and get himself centered. His senses started to come to him as his whole body ached.  Sharp pains came from his leg as he stood up and dusted himself off. Pieces of glass which he snagged out of his leg. Luckily it was not lodged to deep in his leg.


Looking around, he was in the markets, it seemed, but it was quiet for now. Wiping off his face of sweat, he threw his mask back on. The ruins of the city following the giant invasion had died down for now but did pick up on one thing. It was footsteps, and it sounded like multiple people... or maybe a beast of some sort.? Toma didn't wait to be picked off as the sounds were coming closer to him. He ran outside into the open market area and jumped on top of a pile of rubble, waiting for these adversaries to reveal themselves.  


Coming out of the building by the dozen Toma counted all of the beasts. They were humanoid in nature but had no facial features except a mouth and ears. Fangs and large claws with weird body proportions. Toma felt out his magic as lightning flickered across his body. A magic circle appeared underneath his body. Lightning surged and roared throughout his body. His arms shrouded with the yellow volatile energy as he felt the strength as the beast started to come at him.

Scattering using their numbers moving in a spiral like formation around Toma. He could hear all of their movements and was not concerned when attacked from all angles. Jumping up into the air he kicked into the head of the first beast to dive at him. This sent him up into the air as he made himself smaller reaching a pinnacle of 5m. With all of the beast landing roughly  underneath him he was ready to obliterate them. Cocking his hands back to his side a massive magic circle was spawned before him. He shot his hands forth releasing a dragon shaped blast of lightning directly below. With his spells moving at a speed of 40m/s it would explode in a fraction of a second.Dust and debris flying in all directions from the force of the impact. Toma carefully listened for movement to see how many survived the blast. He couldn't let his guard down just yet.

Rolling For Enemy Deaths

Toma decided to make smart business decision and high tail it out of there. With an explosive first step Toma was quick on the draw. Running away down the road he didn't have any sense of bearing yet. The wolf creatures got worse with their pursuit as they all dissolved into magic. The magic was arcing and being sucked into a magic circle that was high into the air. However a secondary magic circle had cut him off. Forcing himself to a skidding halt the magic burst threw the magic circle taking form in front of him.

What towered over him was a giant wolf. A three-headed one at that stood at least 8m tall. Toma sighed as his body reacted before his mind. He was mid way through a back hand spring. The claw of the beast tearing right above his stomach. New plan survive until he could use his spell again. A game of cat and electric mouse if you will. "Annoying.." He let slip feinting to his right. But seeing a small opening he had charged a magic circle underneath him slipping a palm on the ground. In a flash he would shoot forward  at an angle. A trail of lightning behind him as he made contact with the ground once more.

Toma expertly slipped past the beast hindlegs. Moving underneath its belly presented a visual blind spot which he deliberately aimed for. Passing through unharmed Toma broke out into a proper sprint dropping low enough to the ground he was almost dragging himself through the air like a kite. The giant wolf was on Toma's tail and gaining. Despite feeling like he was cutting through the wind. He was arcing to cut right when  a blast of dark like energy fired  a few feet in front of him. The blast tripped him up a little but he managed to stay on his feet. The three headed monstrosity had gotten close enough to pounce in that short time.

Toma grit his teeth and mentally switched a beat. Pushing off the ground Toma offset his right leg as he and the beast floated mid air. Since Toma was slightly going up instead of backwards he offset the timing and distance of the beast's pounce putting underneath his jaw. His right leg shot upward with a thundering kick from underneath. It wasn't enough to knock its head back but it did create some space.

The other 2 heads were more or less unfazed and even took a bite at him. Toma raised his hips and followed his kick to tur himself right side up. He tucked his feet and shot out his feet. His foot planted right into the left head's jaw and was enough to slip towards the neck . He rolled off of it but the best started to spin. Toma didn't have a strong grip and let loose of the fur he was holding on to. All of the commotion led him crashing through a window as he covered himself while rolling through the room.  He had a few scratches and  reached for side. A shard of glass in his left side. It hurt like hell but it was something he could deal with.

A whistle or the sound of hurtling something. Tendrils of shadows latched on to the window. Feeling around as if they were alive like a herd of swarming snakes. The window or dare he say the wall that was once there was ripped off.  Toma stood to his feet seeing the massive wolf glow with shadow like energy. The heads became 2 as the middle head shifted out of the main multi-wolf body. It was some phenomenal and dark magic but now was not the time to be amazed. If anything Toma's heart rate was beating kind of fast without him even realizing. Taking a large deep breath he kept the wolves in his site while calming himself.

First rule of an assassin is silence the breath.
