Chaos Eternal

A constant and bitter conflict between nature and chaos has been a hard-fought battle since the dawning of the metal age with the people of Talaz Lagaar breaching the void through the man-made Fractured Sky which had allowed explorers from both planes to cross from their respective realms. Those within the void being bound to the corrupted realm only passed through whispers and bargains with those foolish enough to seek a boon from demons and cursed spirits while those of the real world faced life-threatening beasts of carnage who sought nothing but the destruction of whomever they faced. Owing to the increased public access to the Fractured Sky countless individuals from across Ishgar had begun carving up their lives into pieces as offerings to the void, both those of the lower class and even the most senior of officials hoping to gain power even at the terminal costs that are required. Many were graced with a gift in return while others were less fortunate needing to venture forth to claim theirs within the void itself.

Even now people continue to offer themselves to the seemingly innocuous despite the warnings of the Talaz Lagaar citizens and the spread of chaos pushing into the real world. To those more perceptive the continued stranglehold on the artificial island from the void is a clear sign of its growth within the lands however many of those found themselves unable to stop the progression owing to their unforeseen loyalty now faced after sacrificing themselves to the void. Still lusting for more the void has reopened once again both for those curious enough to enter the world for the first time and those who wish to offer themselves once again.

Event Conditions

The Great Sacrifice: Users who have not previously performed a sacrifice may sacrifice something of themselves to the Fractured Sky whether it is stats, mana, items, slots, abilities, or even memories in the hopes that they will be rewarded at a later date.
Relinqushing Power: Users who have previously performed a sacrifice may return their current reward into the void. Doing so will remove any restriction placed upon them as a consequence of the sacrifice however any numerical or substantive sacrifice, jewels, mana, items, or magic will be retained by the void.
Double the Pride, Double the Fall: Users alternatively who have previously performed a sacrifice may return their current reward with their existing penalties still applying and give the void a greater offering in the hopes for something new. This does not guarantee that they will receive a new reward and carries a risk of them receiving the same reward as before.
Service unto the Void: Users may offer themselves further to the void whilst still possessing an existing sacrifice, however they will find themselves completely unable to halt the impact and spread of the void into the real world, serving the void provides them with the Boon of the Void Boost.
Users may only perform one of these options per character, except for Service unto the Void which may be claimed by everyone.
Performing The Great Sacrifice, Double the Pride, Double the Fall or Service unto the Void will result in the character being unable to access purified sacrifices from the shop.
Once a sacrifice has been made it is final and the reward can not be refunded at any time.
Users may do this with any of their characters.

Event Details

Access to the fractured Sky will remain open until the conclusion of the event at which point the location will be guarded once more.
Members will be rewarded throughout the duration of the event in stages.
Users may submit what they wish to sacrifice if it is deemed worthy it will be removed from the person.
The reward is proportional not only to the amount sacrificed but also to the impact the sacrifice has on the character.
Items received through sacrifice have a resale value of 0.
Upon the conclusion of the event any returned or previously unclaimed sacrifice rewards may be purified into shop items, users who initially received said rewards will be unable to purchase the ones that they were previously given on any of their accounts. Users who possess a sacrifice reward or the boon of the void will be unable to obtain any purified sacrifices, while those without may only ever purchase one purified reward.

Erebus took strides as a human that were awe-striking, but he never quite ascended from that mortal coil, simply put. He became a true example of what humanity’s grit and their selfishness intwined could become if they reached out and grasped it with one iron fist. Erebus forks over the ability to transcend or change his race.
Erebus was a ruthless terrorist, and yet at the same time— a charismatic class act. He may have experienced some magical phenomena here and there, but it was clear to all he would grow into a specialist, and when it came to weapons, he maneuvered each with a grace that was hard to parallel. Erebus can’t use other classes.
Erebus was subtle but more glaring was the fact he was so stand-up, and for that, he lost the ability to hide his identity upon entering cities, it wouldn’t matter the face nor the helmet he wore. Everyone would eventually fall into a rat race against the adventurer, and for that, Erebus can never wipe, clear, or remove his infamy or reputation..

@Astrid has restricted their access to the bank, use of tarot auras, the ability to do Good Quests or claim benefits from Weapon Mastery or Achievements, their strength has been locked to 1, They have also been locked to their current face claim, can no longer roll in the Dice Games or the Fortune Wheels and received the Levithan's Maw.

@Zoya can not longer join any guilds, use their tarot auras, lost the ability to do Good Quests and can only wield light armor and received the Spinning Scale of Eternity.

@Rockie can no longer use their off-hand or ring slot, their base intelligence has been locked to 1, can no longer change magic or race, and received the Wyvern’s Fragmented Talons.

@Saturn has sacrificed their statistic points, their Divinitas Modification, locked their class to Spellsinger, and received the Crystal Implant.
