Fen
Fiore. North. Orchidia.

Her hunt would start there. She had reason to believe that her mother or at least people that knew her mother would be in the streets within the vaunted rune knights roaming packs. That there was likely a knight or two that knew where she was wandering now and if they didn’t? Well they’d know someone that would. The knights kept track of their own well enough that perhaps they’d even be able to tell her where more of her wretched kin were sleeping.

She knew very little about the order outside of the fact that they were not wanted within the realms of the ice. She didn’t know their structure and didn’t realize that there were far and few inbetween that had even heard of her mother. But those thoughts didn’t even manage to enter into her mind as she sat on the ship. It was pulling up to the docks of the city; she had paid a handsome sum to the captain for transport from her frozen home. More so that she didn’t have to bother working on the ship. Not that they would have wanted her.

Her emotionless and cold gaze had many of the sailors spooked, more so than most of the beasties that had tried to attack them on the way there. She didn’t need to raise a finger but her axe put their worries to rest. She spent most of the journey cleaning her axe, eating meals and sleeping. Not to be bothered until the harbor was in sight. It was early morning when they had finally come to that; she stared quietly at the rapidly approaching city. Not a soul talked to her; no one needed to after informing her of their near arrival. Hooking the strap to her axe she’d lay it across her back and simply depart from the vessel before it even had properly cast it’s lines to the dock workers. Hopping off of the vessel onto the dock and then trudged her way through, brushing past the filth that was waiting to take them somewhere.

Nothing mattered to her from them; they weren’t her prey and if they were she’d cut them down. But the sea had her a little weary; she could use a drink. Could use some maps and directions. Finding information about fiore in other countries was a problem when your people were trying to figure out what else they’d try to tackle; how to survive the next winter before this one had even passed.

She had few coin, fewer friends and even less patience. She scowled at the price of lodging for someone of her stature. Her knuckles cracked; she knew she couldn’t just bully her way into lodging here; places with guards had rules and if the rules meant she needed to get jewels… Maybe she could do some jobs; kill a monster or two. Hunt a bounty or three. Those usually paid less. She’d push her way out of the inn; ears flicking as she overheard a conversation in passing.

You’d think that they’d all would have died out; that wolfenstein house.

You’d think so; but it looks like one of the local lords’ son claims to be one.

No good will come of that.

Her eyes slowly came about to the two talking; her mask hiding her fury. Her posture didn’t change all too much. The wind blew, ruffling her fur and sending a deep chill to those around her. She’d stand behind the two and cocked her head to one side. Her voice was lighter than you’d expect, but there was a gruffness to it too.

What does this Whelp look like?

The pair froze and looked up to her; meeting her eyes. Seeing that hand resting on her axe blade; they’d collectively gulp. She was given a bare run through; average build, reddish hair with some white highlights. Looked like he was dressed as a noble. A sword not far from his hands. A posse of friends. Hard to miss. She’d growl lowly and step away from the two; waving them off as she heard enough. No proper wolfenstein would be like that. Proudly displaying their ignorance; claiming their namesake without actually doing anything.

The hunt took the better part of the afternoon; the prey moved around a lot. She’d have pressed many throats till then; her silence and simple questions had proved efficient enough to get her the information and whereabouts of that filth masquerading as one of her own. Wolfensteins were hunters, protectors, guardians and more. They were hardly ever in the position that this… filth was in. She stood at the entrance to an alleyway. Seeing the group this lordling called friends; she wasn’t impressed.

Another thing; they didn’t keep company that wasn’t worthwhile. She could smell the stench of failure among this group. She could see that many of them were just blithering idiots; the laughing was the sort you’d expect from thugs. The lordling’s laugh sounded far more proper. Fen’s neck cracked and she’d step forward; she felt blossoming hatred start to grow through her body. A hand reaching up to the haft of her axe.

Lordling Wolfenstein was it?

The coldness of her voice cut through the laughter, cut through the joyous fakery that was in front of her. The thugs all turned and she spotted her mark among them. Her mask parted slightly and she felt a steamy breath of air pass through them. She was getting heated with anger. She could hear the babbling of the foolish lord, she’d drag her axe from it’s “holster” on her back and let it slam into the paved grooves of the towns rocky roads. It cut off any arguing or squabbling she wasn’t here to listen to a fakery.

This isn’t the kind of name you take to play pretend boy.

One of the thugs started getting smarmy with her, she didn’t even hesitate as he was just close enough to where one swing would cut the friend of the lordling’s in half. Watching the body flop to the ground she’d growl out. She didn’t like fakers like this; she actually wanted to just simply kill the lot of them but she had questions; if he knew of their name and what it entailed well… maybe he had a lead for her.

Guards or not. I’m getting answers from you whelp.

Lumikki

It had been a long few days in her office. Lumikki Hrùtr couldn’t stand another minute of it. She often spent hours on end in the library, combing through the books about lore and drafting some curious notes; but that was all by choice, it was a pastime and hobby. Rather, spending days in her office to mind the paper work and reports was becoming cumbersome, but she was almost done training Alvis in the task. Just in time too, she had to set out to Iceberg soon to assist her mother on some cryptic task, the ominous message simply stirring a bit of anxiety in her.

For now, the Demoness took a small moment to relax. First thing on her list of plans was to visit her good friend Carla at the Silver Cleaver. It has been some time since she saw her friend and she meant to catch up. With the goal to spend time in the morning and each brunch, the Demoness spent more time there than she had planned, but Carla always had a way of eating up a lot of time. Not like Lumikki complained, she had nothing but.

After her meal, and the two were properly caught up, the Guild Master leisurely walked toward the markets. She was in her human form of brown skin and periwinkle hair tied back in braids and a bun. Her miss-matched eyes hidden behind a dark pair of shades and she wore a long black silk dress with blue and purple flowers that she picked up from her trip to Sin. Sadly she would be well known within the area, status aside, she’d spent a lot of time in Orchidia, but she did her best to remain unnoticed. Using the dark and shadow to somewhat blur her as she passed around.

By the time Lumikki reached the markets, the so called prey had been there for a few minutes. Talking up a big game to his crowd whiling playing up a story of being a crucial member to the city. As annoying as it was, Lumikki hardly payed him any mind. Instead she was looking through the shipment of dresses in a store the mage had often frequented and it would of claimed all her focus if it were not for the soft but brutish voice cutting through the bustle of the crowd. Of course Lumikki wouldn’t have been deterred so easily, nor did she look in their direction. The petty scabble of man did not entertain her, at least when free of jewel; but when the altercation escalated enough that one man got slashed, well now the Demoness was paying attention.

Lumikki had no intention of helping the fool who incurred such ire, who ever he was, the man was of no value. Lumikki wasn’t the type to only do things for profit, but the maddening drawl that she overheard before made her somewhat happy to observe what’ll happen next.

So she stepped up just enough to get a nice view, and waited for what ever mischief was soon to occured. All while studying the new visitor to her city. Lumikki wouldn’t bother boasting that she knew every face there, in truth she did not; but one with such as an appearance such as Fen would be harder not to remember.

The shadows along the stone and crowd would come to life, circling the group of fools and isolating them into the ring. This was not to contain them there mind you, it was simply a means to assure not innocents got her in the malicious cross fire. As though Lumikki didn’t always care for humans, she did care for the North and her previous Guild Master always made it a point to protect his people. Hard to ignore such a simple request and regulation from the Warden of the North. And so the shadows interlocked like wild vines with just enough space for the battle about to ensue. Meanwhile, Lumikki watched along with a smirk on her face.

Fen
The mewling whelps in front of her weren’t a challenge, they hardly even benefited from her time here. She stood there, hands on her axe, her eyes gleaming with a cold anger. It was enough to make a grown man weep. Fall to their knees and present their necks. They were prey here; pushed and pressed against a wall. There was no where for them to run. They couldn’t run from her. She could just catch them. They were vermin to her; she’d step forward. She could see their fear; smell it without even having to breathe. It was pungent; wretched and vile. Just the same way that they stole the name that belonged to her; to her people.

The babbling of the whelp; the lordling drew her ire. She could feel her want to cut him apart rise through the skies themselves. She’d take another step; finding them practically wailing in fear already; but fen’s motion stopped. She’d blink. Look to the crowd; she could see the shadows interlocked like vines out in the wild. Her eyes scanned the crowd; she couldn’t tell if any were mages but they clearly didn’t care for the people trapped within.

She wasted no time; she cared very little for the safety and the well beings of the thugs in front her. Her axe rose and fell with a systematic series of swings. Gutting the thugs in easy strokes. One of them didn’t even deserve her axe; she yanked him in half and tossed his pieces aside. Not caring about the blood or the spatter that came across her. Her hands reached down to the whelp and she’d stare into his eyes. Letting him feel her grow bigger whilst holding him in the air. Her new form was a whole meter taller, putting her well above the hovels that these wretches called home. Lifting a grown man with one hand was easy for her; even easier now. She felt her voice crackle through her bared fangs. Her mask clattering to the side and the extra hands that this form blessed her with covered her face. Hiding away the secrets of the world.

This form was massive; it was terror inducing. The crowd even in it’s protected nature stepped back from the towering behemoth. She had just killed a dozen men for something trivial after all. She’d breathe out again; the words coming easier; less rage filled. More cold; calculating.

The wolfenstein name is not one that suffers weaklings such as yourself. Nor the filth you surround yourself by. Tell me why you took it; and where you found it.

The man seemed to sputter; gargle out words she cared little for and the werewolf dropped him back on the crate. Her hand reaching back to grasp her axe. Pulling it off of the ground with one hand and letting the blade come within a few inches of the mans head as she put it into the wall just above him.

Your father isn’t here to protect you filth. Tell me and I may grant you a faster death than that of my claws.

She’d cock her head at the man, staring through her hands down at him. Her knuckles cracked and she’d growl as she could feel the mans presence grow smaller. She had almost caused him to faint and then there it was. His explanation was a teeter tallying of words that hardly mattered until she heard two words. ‘Ancient tomb’. Her ears perked and she’d kneel down, her thumb and pointer finger curling around his jaw and forcing him to look up at her.

where.

Under the manor, under their holdings. They had came into an ancient tomb filled with draugr no longer possessed. They had ransacked it; taken what they could before they came back. Their heraldry had changed that day and artifacts had become theirs. Fen felt her blood boil and she’d drop the man onto the ground. Stomping his head in with several loud cracks. Growling in anger she didn’t give him a quick death; she could hear his agonizing screams until she felt it run red underneath her foot. Spitting on the ground she’d look around; trying to feel out who was making these vines.

I have a hunt to continue. Whoevers responsible for these vines; drop them and talk.

Lumikki

The black shadowy and frigid vines were a means to make it known, that this was not an area to enter. The danger here was obvious but the thugs would not find a hero from the crowd. Lumikki would not let the innocents throw their lives to such a nothingness cause of aiding those that meant to spread weakness, but in her curious rouse to watch it would seem the scene would get more graphic than needed to be seen. To which the Demoness would extend her presence and magic. Her influence was already clear, but the flashing lavender magical circle would only make it clearer and in a moment, the scene was smothered in a dome that barely allowed the light from above to penetrate below. It was just enough for those within to see but the setting almost looked as if it turned into the night.

Despite how thick and impenetrable the dark seemed from the sides however, Lumikki maintained perfect vision of the events from within. And when the clash was reaching its climax, she’d finally drop the things she was looking over entirely to approach those within. Local guards and a few members of the patrol of Paradise Dawn were now running to the scene in behest of scared cries and pleas. When they happened upon seeing her, and the dark magic, it would slow their stride but not ease mind in the slightest.

”There will be a mess to clean up, some of the local thugs ran into a foreigner it seems…..” Lumikki didn’t tear her eyes away even as they came to her side. ”Clear out the market for now as this will be hassle with people around and close off this section for the time being. I didn’t step in to stop them as me eyes confirmed them akin to bandits, but a las perhaps I should have sorted this matter more simply.” Lumikki sighed deeply, as the crowd could only hear the sounds of the carnage, Lumikki could gleam it all. As she was the one to let this happen, she would now have to be the one to take responsibility. ”Bring mages with water spells quickly so as to wash away the blood.”

Those that heard her orders, took them quickly. Passing the word to anymore who approached with hopes to aid in handling the matter, but they first handled the civilians. Until the coast was clear, Lumikki didn’t chance letting down her walls. She let the pup have their justice, but not their freedom.

And what nerve, after all the carnage, the beast would make commands on top of it all.

Lumikki, with slow, graceful, and silent steps, walked towards her dome. The darkness simply embracing her as she walked within and the moment she entered, the air would drop in cold significantly. It was enough to bite at the flesh of the corpses below and freeze them instantly, her overbearing chill now encroaching them like a black frost until they looked more like broken statues than people. A solution to help remedy the problem of cleaning the scene, but the blood splatter would need to be handled quickly.

”The hunt continues after we get things sorted. Ye caused damage lass, ye’d be the one to fix it. I can’t be bothered to care about the fate of some low down thieves, but I could very well be vexed by the sloppy work one does to dispatch them.” Lumikki’s tone was colder than that of her company when they interrogated the last man standing. And with each word uttered in annoyance, Fen would find their strength leaving them from within the cold embrace of the dome.

”There is no talking, ye owe me answers and it’s as simple as that. And the details needed to run a ye an invoice for the bill….” Lumikki rose her left hand, her black fingers curling together as she clasped it. Prompting a frost talon to manifest before Fen and do the same, while holding the wolf in place. Its cool touch only exasperated the already biting chill, which Lumikki would keep inflicting to harsher degrees until her prey was visibly suffering for it.

”We could start with a name and origin. What ye wanted from ‘em and what yer doing here.” Lumikki walked closer, her face unamused but her eyes still glowing bright purple hues.

Fen
Fen’s eyes slipped along the vines, she could tell that they weren’t something she could reasonably break through without some extreme duress. Whoever was responsible for them was strong enough to make her hackles raise on her back; Just the idea of someone that strong nearby made her want to challenge them all the more. But her hunt took priority over all else. Even this minor hunt that she was on took priority. Dragging her family name through the mud was inexcusable.

Her ears flicked a few times as she could hear someone giving orders to people outside of the ‘dome’ and would growl softly as she could tell that maybe, just maybe that she’d be having a rough time in the next few spells. But that didn’t stop her from wanting to walk forward, to test her axe against the vines. However…

The person that appeared from outside of the dome had to be the one that commanded this place. This pressure of sorts. She’d crack her knuckles along the haft of her axe. She could feel the drop in temperature and she’d just shake her head, shaking free the frost that grew on the edges of her fur. She felt her strength wane as the other spoke; likely some kind of mage. Likely the sort to use magic to sap strength. An annoyance to be sure in terms of what was her hunt; fighting here would… would it be right to fight here? She wanted to test the strength of the one before her.

Tch… They didn’t deserve a clean death.

She’d twist her hands on her axe; it was difficult to even hold it upright with how she felt the coldness seep into her muscles. Fighting right now… Oh it’d be a poor choice. But it was something itching at the back of her head; her instincts told her to cooperate. But she wanted to fight. Such a bother. So she’d crack her neck while resting the axe on the ground. The frosty talon that held her in place… was not something she could break either. She could feel the ice set in and she’d snort.

Feh. Fine.

This person was powerful; that could be said. But there was no fighting this. She stood way taller than fen did and there was an annoyance edged in either of their voices it seemed. It’d take a while for fen to be annoyed by the cold. Longer still to be bothered by it.

Fen Von Wolfenstein. Iceberg. Hunter clan. What I wanted from the whelp and their ilk was the knowledge of who they were and why they were using my clan’s name. It is not a name that you throw around without merit. It is a promise and they spit on the faces of those that do it justice. So I aim to correct their use by wiping out their kin and their holdings. Claiming it and their hold by the rights of my people.

She’d strain a little bit against the frosty talon holding her in place. The wolf looked about and looked frankly annoyed she couldn’t get out of the frozen talon. She was a tough cookie it seemed and tougher yet was her resolve to see the hunt come to fruition.

If it’s jewels you’re after. I’ll promise those of whatever hold that whelp came from. I need nothing tying me down like that.

Lumikki

"Yea, yea, yea. Suppose with that logic, we don't deserve a clean market. Lumikki eyed the axe at her finger tips before bringing her glowing gaze back to the gargantuan wolf before her. The expression of the Demoness was that of one unphased, and it was clear to see that the one before her was trying to play the same. If not, at least an attempt to not seem as bothered. Though tinges of anger frayed the ends of all aspects that Fen tried to convey.

"Hmm? Ye had me interest since before the jewels, but I'd still agree on the account of take'n 'em. Tell ye what, I could help ye on this hunt of yers. tis the nature of a raven to lead the wolf to their prey, a role I still very much enjoy." Lumikki let out a quick and curt whistle that sharply rung through the air, to which a raven would just as promptly answer. Meeting her as soon as the call fizzled and landing on Lumikki's shoulder.

Lumikki would step back with a bit of a bounce to her step. Swaying as she squatted down to examine the last to suffer the brute fate. Yet their crushed skull did not help with the cause. "Simply needless. Fen, yer a wolf but ya don't have to be so sloppy. Ye should learn to cover yer next steps before the urge to destroy takes ye. Tell me little one, did ye recognize him before he was brutalized?"

"Oh yes, and we didn't really like him either. Him and his flock used to like to play tricks with us. Tossing rocks at us that looked like nuts or chasing us out. Good riddens...but what did you need to know my Revna?" Lumikki liked the dead man less with every word, but it was not like knowing him would change his fate. "Where exactly did they hide away?

"Oh we know that. Let us take you there." The raven flew up past the opening of her dome to congregate with the other ravens until Lumikki was ready. "I arranged a guild to where they had resided. We can pay it a visit."

"Guild Master! The mages have arrived and the market has been mostly cleared to handle the scene!" One of her men was reporting back to her from directly outside. "Very well, I froze them to make moving the corpses easier," both the vines and the dome were beginning to fall away like fresh fallen black snow and Lumikki was turning to the one who called out to her. "This 'Fen Von Wolfenstein' was the one to, let's just say, end the trouble the lads had started. But she owes in costs and I shall be taking her on the errand to see it done. Confiscate the axe in the meantime, else she could still prove troublesome. Wait for a raven in cause of future reports. And thanks again for yer services lads."

Lumikki stepped back toward Fen before any of her men could get close. Should the wolf fight her decree, Lumikki sought to throw the first and last hit. Once the axe was torn from the ground, with great effort mind you, as it took three men to pull and two, to carry it off. From then Lumikki loosened the talon that gripped Fen so tightly. Now it was the appraisers and mages who were nearing to get the work of cleaning and calculations of costs out of the way. "Ye could sent the appraisal report to me office. Both I and the ravens have seen her face," Lumikki's gazed hooked onto Fen's own as if to make a point, " so there is no means for her to get away."

Lumikki snapped her fingers and on cue, the flock began to move and shift into the skies toward the so called manor. "Shall we dear?" Lumikki called over her shoulder before she got to walking. The Demoness could easily fly and be there in no time, but it would take the fun out of getting to know her new company. Besides, what if she too didn't like the skies.

And so the pair would make their ways down the main road, headed toward the river just before the outskirts of Orcidia.

Fen
Never said anything like that. Just them.

Fen’s brows furrowed a bit, though hidden behind the strangeness of her appearance. The way that lumi held herself and seemed to hold a vast amount of respect from the ones following her orders made the wolf wonder what exact relationship she had with them. She’d adjust a little bit; her entire being radiated a coldness that was just holding back a tidal wave of anger. Though that anger wasn’t directed at anyone here at the moment. When not dealing with disrespectful whelps she seemed marvelously calm.

Hmm. I wouldn’t turn down assistance; the hunt has already been long and this side trek will only make it longer. But as I’ve given you my name, I would like to know yours Miss…?

She’d cock her head to one side as the woman spoke to a raven that had flittered down to her. Silence radiated from the wolf and she’d stare at the two for a few long moments. She could tell that they were speaking to one another and she’d turn her head to the mages that arrived on scene. She didn’t get the sense that any of them were wolves like she was. The black dome started to fall away and Fen found herself chuckling at the way that the others had to use two to three people just to lift her axe.

Not to burst your bubble Miss but it’s not a weapon that makes a person troublesome.

With her axe gone however and the way that the other was able to command such a group of people, animals and mages alike Fen was naturally fully curious. The wolf rubbed at the bottom of her chin and nodded her head. She wasn’t about to run; if this place ran on a different culture than her homeland and she had to pay her dues for this mess then she’d rather that than it chasing her while she hunted.

We shall.

Fen would follow after Lumikki; though with the fact that they weren’t in any immediate danger or threat fen would let her form regress until she was her standard yet massive height. Much like a particular gold themed demon she was also much taller than your usual werewolf. Cracking her neck with a sigh she’d speak.

Never met someone that could talk to birds like that. That bit part of your magic too?

Fen had a sense of curiousness in some aspects of life; though her hunt and desire to carry it out was all consuming she hadn’t learned as much as her mother likely had before moving on to fiore and it’s ilk. She was more akin to her father in the cluelessness of anything outside of iceberg and it showed. Once on the outskirts of the city fen looked around; her hand had gone up to where her axe handle would have been and she'd tutt to remind herself she'd have to use her hands for this manor.

"Gonna have to use my bare hands but that's not a problem..."

Lumikki

"Hmmmm only fair," Lumikki mused. If Fen did not ask, she surely wouldn't have offered. There was a time when Lumikki proudly uttered her name, but with time, things would change, as would she. The less to know her, the more comfortable. But sadly, her new role would now allow her that and so the Demoness would simply comply. "Lumikki, lass. That would be me name...Well, Lumikki Hrútr to be exact as ye were kind to fully give me yer own. I'll match ye for it." One could say there was power in a name and begrudgingly, Lumikki would give it.

"Kukuku," she'd chuckled with amusement, "I very much agree. Ye could take any of me weapons, but I could still usher a fair amount of damage. I would say that those who rely solely on weapons were weak, but I would not do that disservice or dishonor to me Uncle and those akin. Still, the slash of a weapon can't feel as pleasing as the bite of a spell." But raw strength was pleasing still, leaving the Demoness with much to desire. If she would, she'd have it all and she would, just in time. Something she had an endless amount of.

When her men finally managed to carry the axe away and the two could begin to take of, Fen would continue to ask more amusing things. The curiosity was oddly nice, as Lumikki was tired of being perceived and recognized. And though it would lead to Fen knowing her as well, at least it would be from the frost mage's hand. "Aye, it is. It's a blessing I stumbled upon some time ago, just about after some war. Been speaking to me birds, and such a trick comes in handy in times like now. Wouldn't ye thing?"

The pair crossed atop the river but not with a normal bridge. Lumikki simply willed a black frost structure with her magic to allow them to get by. In a matter a fact gesture that suggested it was quite normal for her. So when Fen made the statement to use her hands, the mage would look over to her with an expression almost ready to laugh. "Nonesense! Now I don't doubt ye got some strength in ye but someone of yer like still shines best with something in hand no?" Lumikki flicked her left hand, willing her magic once again. Only time it would be for something more peculiar. Black frost collected all at once, swirling and weaving into something quite familiar to her friend. A black axe in the exact likeness of her prior weapon fell onto the floor fight by her feet. Digging itself into ground so that it was held up in place. "Now I know it's not exactly the same, but it'll get the job done and occupy those itching hands of yers. Sculpting things like weapon ye could say is a small pastime of mine. So I know for certain I got her right."

The were in the woods now and her raven would tell of a branching path. One that was otherwise easy to overlook should they not know what to look for. The grass here was sparse but still enough to show that it was seldom taken, or perhaps a new path in the making. It was barely the size to fit two, but where Fen was obnoxiously large, Lumikki was absurdly small in stature.

Fen
Fen stood there for a moment, tilting her head to one side. She had never heard of the name before; or rather if she had there was no instance of her remembering such a name. It was definitively from her homeland if she had to place its roots anywhere. Curiosity got the better of her and seeing that she no longer had any leverage here as the mage was far stronger than her… Well she’d be polite.

If I didn’t know better you hail from iceberg the same as I do.

She was familiar with the sort of people that would only ever give you information if you gave them some. She was used to that sort for those that desired her work. Services for information. Fen crossed her arms and stared quietly at the demoness. They were a pure caster; strong beyond a reasonable doubt. She wanted to fight them so bad but her hunt hounded the back of her skull like a demon unbound.

I’m not sure I understand that; perhaps it’s because I can’t use magic that I wouldn’t consider it in that venue. Uncle? Another of your Hrutr Kin?

Fen leaned slightly, finger rubbing across her chin and her eyes seemed to inspect the mage. Was her uncle as powerful as she was? She felt herself grow excited at the idea of two people that she could fight and would give her a serious run for her money.

Much like how some werewolves can talk to wolves or demi-humans speak with their ilk… I’d say so. A rarity beyond rarities. Useful to have an eye in the sky.

Fen nodded her head a bit as they walked, her stride was long but it still felt like she was being led along by lumikki. She had to wonder the depths of the others strength; she could feel herself wanting to pluck at it. But she had to wait. The brows of the werewolf shot up and her white fur bristled as she could feel the cold from that magic coalesce into a bridge in front of her. She’d inspect the bridge, testing it with a hand and nodded her head again.

You’d be right. I’m strong but…

Fen found her words falling flat and her eyes widened a bit at seeing the black frost collect into an axe. She’d pluck it off of the ground and gave it a testing couple of swings. She’d then run a finger along the edge, not at all bothered by the cutting sensation on her finger… or lack there of. As sharp as the axe was there was something unnatural about her skin.

Mm.. You have a good eye for weapons and balance Lumikki. I may not be able to use magic but… Heh. First time thinkin about it this hard.

Fen let out a soft laugh and padded along; with them being in the woods now it wouldn’t be too long before they’d reach their destination right? She’d pause and look back at the town and furrowed her brows. She didn’t look uncertain but maybe there was a part of her that was thinking about her trip. Shaking her head she’d continue along…

Can’t even figure how long they’ve been doin something this vile. Stealin a name that isn’t theirs to use. Unforgivable.

Lumikki

”ᚨᛁᛖ ᛚᚨᛊᛊ, ᛁ ᚨᛗ.”(“Aye lass, I am.”) Lumikki spoke in an older Icebergain tongue. Whether the wolf pacing beside her understood or not, the mage did not care; but the comment creviced enough in Lumi’s mind to prove the point of the question asked.

”Aye, ye could say so. He’s a warrior among these parts and a formidable name if ye heard it. Should ya be looking for a person to pester for a fight, he’d give ya a good one—thats for sure.” Lumikki walked along, singing her Uncle’s graces. Though he hardly needed mention, it was playful fun to do it. Building up and egging onto a legend was pleasing when you still lived among it.

The pair had crossed the bridge and it would only be through the corner of her eye that she observed Fen’s interaction with the make-shift axe. A smirk crept along her face before the Wolf even voiced her satisfaction, crafting weapons of frost was a pastime Lumikki enjoyed and surely had gotten skilled at.

Walking through the faint path, Lumikki’s raven croaking just ahead to keep it in their spacial awareness, the two were walking between the tight trees and unsteady stone. Though it did not take all the long of a walk to revel the destination of note within the distance. ”Quite vile indeed, and not common of transgression either. Can’t say I’ve heard much about the name meself, so what is appealing enough to claim the name Fen?” They were just about thirty meters away from the house the gang must of used as a means to hide. The conditions were still up kept enough that it was not yet an eye sore, but it was clearly not as opulent as one would assume. Still, the promise of interesting discoveries gave the estate a sense of charm it wouldn’t normally possess.
