Arriving in a place as equal parts observer and participant in the story of a young girl who looks a lot like she does, she and her apparent doppelganger trade roles and perspectives trade roles and perspectives, as the latter acts as her guide through the story. In time coming to realise that is experiencing the life of a young woman who lives in a different place, despite the involuntary nature of the event she and this similarly spirited soul strike up a friendship through the experience, with Sofia offering her the benefit of her own insight into interactions and situations. Through this forging a bond which endures even after the water mage regains her consciousness, she resolves to find out more about the new friend she had made, and if she can rescue her from the grim fate which is coming for her.
